Drove all the way down to SoCal from the Bay Area just to try this bakery, and honestly, it was SO worth the drive! The second I walked in and smelled the conchas and empanadas, I already knew I was leaving with a bag full of bread. I ended up getting the cookies & cream, chocolate, and Nutella conchas, and every single one was incredible. Soft, flavorful, and seriously addicting! You can tell this is a locally owned bakery because the staff was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there. That kind of energy makes the experience even better. First things first, reviews stating the truth about the lady whose always at the counter - the older one with lighter hair color, not the dark hair younger lady is a rude b%^#. She never smiles, looks like she hates being there & if she's the actual owner like one reviewer stated, it's really sad. I personally hate going here, but my husband loves it. The bread was decent, but I think Josie's was way better & even though their customer service was dry, they weren't as rude as this chick at this bakery. I drove 30 minutes to go to this bakery. I arrived 10 minutes before they closed, and their sign still said "OPEN." Right before I was about to open the door, the lady locked it. I knocked, and the two ladies inside, who were working, just looked at me and didn't open the door. Keep in mind, there were two other ladies buying bread, and the workers were talking to them. I then raised my voice and told them that they close at 7 p.m., not 6:50 p.m., and they just said it was their boss's policy. In reality, that wasn't true because they just lost a customer trying to buy bread before they closed. To top it all off, they still had a variety of bread to sell. The point is, the workers were rude, especially since I really wanted to try their bread. read more

The pan is good but the tamales are really dry the pork tamales had decent flavor and the cheese tamales had no flavor at all. The masa could use some seasoning and they are much smaller than the ones I normally order from Lupe's bakery. The employees were friendly. read more

If you go early you will have the option of tamales and chanpurrado. It is a bit of a drive for me and it's in a rough area but the bread is so soft and good that I will occasionally make the drive out to get some. When I worked in the area I would go weekly for some bread. read more

This places is good, however the owner which is a older lady is so rude . If you go super early you can get fresh bread or you can get dry old bread that get super hard . I thinking it important for them to let us know that the food is a day old. We should choose if we want the food or not . Don't waist your money on tamales at this place. My husband drove from Rancho Cucamonga on Christmas Eve with a friend who has gone here many times. Not only did the price go up, they have about one bite of meat per tamale! They should not call them chicken tamales, they should call them masa tamales because they are 90% masa! I have been going to this place for a long time. I never had an issue until today. I went to purchase tamales. I was also going to get pan. But I seen there was homeless and a lot of other individuals using the tongs and tray. So I politely asked the girl if I could possibly get a clean pair of tongs and tray. She then wiped the tray with a dirty rag n said in Spanish I thought I was to good to use the same tongs as everyone else. To another customer. Not knowing I understood her. So I just walked out with my tamales. I then went back in the store cuz I thought maybe she is just real busy. So I will wait til she got time. Instead she was telling people in the store oh I went in there like everyone is dirty n didn't want to use the tongs. I then asked her for her supervisor name and number.
