We were looking for a local Thai restaurant and are so glad we found this one on Yelp! If you saw this hole-in-the-wall place, you would pass right by it because it's not in the best area. But don't let that fool you! This place had great, friendly service and excellent food! Our group ordered egg rolls, Thai rolls, coconut soup, ginger salad, pineapple curry, pad Thai, chicken fried rice, and drunken noodles. The pad Thai was exceptional! Absolutely the best Thai in Pinellas County. We had friends bring us here last weekend and we enjoyed it so much that we had to come back. I enjoy spicy food and was not disappointed. We all dined on specialties from the Panang Region of Thailand. I especially enjoyed the Panang Curry. Tonight I have ordered the whole fried snapper, with that same curry. It is addicting. Small, but well maintained and very clean. Pleasant, friendly staff. Food was outstanding. The appetizer combo platter was very good, although the crab rangoon could have used a bit more stuffing. The pineapple curry with tofu was amazing - perfect blend of spices - so good that I would have been happy with a bowl of the curry sauce and rice. Good Thai Panai is a good addition to our collection of Thai restaurants in the Largo/Seminole area. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the server was very pleasant. The food was mostly very good. The only dish I didn't care for was the Tom Kha soup. It was thin and didn't have the rich flavor it should. Overall, Panai was quite nice. read more

Just back home from having dinner at Panai Thai restaurant in Largo on Seminole Blvd. It is in the back corner of the shopping center. I've been here a few times and I have always been more than impressed with my delicious meals. Tonight I had the drunken noodles. Oh my! I probably should have eaten half and saved the other half but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to enjoy the rest. I left my plate so clean that my grandma would have been proud. We had the hand rolls with peanut sauce to start and that was delicious as well. The Thai tea is perfect and so flavorful. I love to go there, the server is so welcoming and the atmosphere is inviting. I am surprised that it is not crowded. It really wouldn't be fair to keep this wonderful find a secret! We have not been back for a while, but have been there many times. Best Thai you will get in the area. Wonton soup had the PERFECT seasoning and thin noodles with bigger pieces of meat rather than like most that have extremely thick noodle and tiny pieces of meat inside. Also, every notice that nasty taste of the meat at most places that make wonton? Yeah, they do NOT do that at this place. The crispy duck was perfection, the fried rice and everything is always very fresh. She makes all of her dipping sauces from scratch also. LOVE this women's cooking. She is the best. read more

The best Thai food in Pinellas. The yellow curry with chicken and Thai fried rice with chicken are our go-to dishes but everything we have tried has been amazing! We enjoy both dining in and take out. The food is always piping hot, even when we take it home. The server Noi (not sure of the spelling) is excellent and is always very conscientious! She always remembers our preferences when we return. We are so happy that we found this gem! read more

We have been going here 15+ years. Hands down the best red curry!! Everything else we've had has been wonderful. The wait might be a bit long if it's busy, but the food is worth the wait. Staff is warm and friendly and the interior is beautiful. Food is incredible. I believe they make their own curry paste - I've never been able to find anything like it in all the other Thai restaurants I've tried - both local and afar. Seriously the best Thai food I've ever had, and it's up there with the best food I've ever had. The drunken noodles are stellar every single time, and I have been here 20+ times. The price is great, the portions are great, the service is always good whether you pick up or dine in, and they are just so unbelievably consistent. The other dishes are yummy too (mm golden bags), but I think they just shine with their noodles. My husband isn't blown away by their curry (nor I by their pad thai), but he is a true drunken noodle convert now. Also-- Don't be put off by their location. The interior is very nice. read more

First time there and I will be back. Got a take out order and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant itself is small but very clean. The aroma was great and enticing. I got the chicken satay appetizer which my son thought was good. He also got the orange chicken and that was very flavor-able. The cucumber salad is one of the best I have ever had and different with chunks of cucumber instead of being sliced thin. They gave you enough for two. My wife had the basil fried rice and it was delicious, not too spicy but you could taste some of the different spices. Lastly I had the Salmon lover, got it grilled without the skin (there is option of getting it with the skin, steamed or tempura style...yummy!). This came with vegetables and also a side order of Jasmine rice. Although I ordered take out there, it was ready in a short time. I enjoyed Jasmine tea and conversation with the staff while waiting. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon again. . read more
