There is good day lighting inside, comfortable seating, the hamburger helper skillet with hashbrowns and burger was tolerable. Didn't want to send the food back and receive something that would make me sick. I couldn't tolerate the strawberry cream cheese in the cinnamon French toast but luckily it was not my order. Decent place, a bit pricey for pancakes, but pancakes are good. Eggs Benedict was over cooked despite very nice and attentive waitress asking how I wanted my eggs, poached, with the yokes runny... The atmosphere was nice, but our food was not delicious. We waited over 15 minutes for someone to wait on our table, and then once we were served, the food was poor quality. Employees could be trained better about how to safely and effectively bus tables, without grossing out nearby patrons. (The busser drove a cart around with a giant vat of mixed liquids from tables. It was almost full and they would dump liquids in it tableside. It must have been several gallons of various mixed used liquids that they just carted around the restaurant all morning.) Delicious!!!! Fries were perfectly crispy and the sandwich was nice and fresh. The combo of raspberry jam flavor with the sugar coated toast was surprisingly amazing. Great breakfast spot with plenty of seating and space inside! We ate here for breakfast 2 days in a row. Kids get a free kids breakfast item with purchase of adult entree before 9am. Their original pancakes were a huge hit. We loved their drip coffee and the rest of the menu was pretty standard compared to other places. I do feel like portion sizes are slightly on the smaller side. Service the first day was lacking, as we had to constantly look for our server for additional places, cups, utensils, coffee refills etc. The second day we came was a weekday and there were far fewer guests so the service was much more attentive. This is the best breakfast spot in Fitchburg, I've only recently discovered it! Both times I've gone in the past month, I've had the Florentine Benedict and the Chocolate Chip Pancakes to share. My friend had the breakfast burrito and another friend had the steak and eggs -- both were delicious! The food is great, the portions are HUGE, I highly recommend the orange juice. The coffee is fine, not great, but got the caffeine in me. The servers are wonderful and I've had great service both times I've visited. You can pay via a QR code/app which I recommend. If you wait to pay up front, you might be waiting, especially at peak times. This place is popping on the weekends, so make sure to be patient. read more

The Pancake Cafe is a decent and straight forward breakfast place. The food and service are good. It is standard breakfast food, and it is done well. There is nothing that stands out from other breakfast places though, and nothing phenomenal that I will be thinking about days later. It's a good place though. I had a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice, the specialty apple pancake, and the wisco hashbrowns. The orange juice was fresh with pulp which I like. The apple pancake was massive, hot, and tasty. I enjoyed it. It's kind of like a cross between a pie and bread pudding. The wisco hashbrowns were good too, but I felt that they needed hot sauce/salsa. Also they were definitely lacking bacon even though the menu said they should have bacon. There is a lot of seating here, so when other places are full for brunch on a Saturday morning, this place might not be. It's a great option for times like that. The service was prompt and pleasant. My friends got the breakfast burrito, breakfast quesadilla, potato pancakes, bacon pancakes, and corned beef hash. The corned beef hash was standard, my friends really liked the bacon pancakes, and the breakfast quesadilla was good. Neither the quesadilla or the burrito came with salsa or sour cream even though we thought they should have. They were both a bit dry without that. The potato pancakes were not the best. They had no texture and seemed to have a lot of egg in them rather than potato. I wouldn't recommend the potato pancakes. At the end of the day, this place is good for what it is: a standard diner for breakfast food. It is good at the standard breakfast food but it is not innovative or phenomenal in those aspects. Just standard good breakfast food. I'll be back here in the future when I'm looking for a breakfast/brunch place that doesn't have a long wait. read more

Great value breakfast. Lots to eat for reasonable prices. Has a Groupon to use up and got breakfast today. Tasty southwest omelette with blueberry crepes and hash brown. Mask is required to enter but once seated, the masks are off, so really, there isn't much protection at all. I saw people waiting at the front with masks under the nose, loosely fitted etc. so if you want to dine in, I recommend you put your name on the waiting list and keep a good distance from other people waiting. I think the staff is most at risk at restaurants but there doesn't seem to be enough protection for them. The cashier is fully exposed to patrons, not even a plexiglass screen to protect them. Way staff had to tend to every table with people without masks because they are eating and drinking. Maybe get the staff a face shield. That with a mask will protect them. read more

I couldn't give you a star I can tell you we love the food here unfortunately today we took the 30minute drive after looking online to see hours open and upon arriving we go inside we get seated and finally waiter shows up we order drinks he's getting ready to take off for our drinks when we tell him we're also ready to order I place my order of a chilaquiles skillet that comes with eggs , a French toast plate and pancakes and eggs plate after we order he says we don't have any eggs ! Ok online it doesn't warn you of this big issue of course because it a breakfast place !! I cancel our drinks which someone is already working on and the kid who seated us today at 8:40 am 4-16-25 says why do you want to cancel your drinks in an upset tone I respectfully tell him well because you don't have any eggs and you seated us without telling us this he says it's not my job to tell you !! How disrespectful and rude! Best of luck if you stop bye one I hope you can have better luck with eggs and two I sincerely hope you don't have to cross path with the young man who seated us today! Although this is one of my favorite breakfast places, I'm still sitting here (20 minutes now) waiting for my order to be taken. Fortunately, they have a pot of coffee in the waiting area so I am able to walk over there from my table to refill my cup. I will update my review once I actually place my order, and get my food. UPDATE: it is now 20 minutes later. My Fitbit just went off telling me that I need to get my steps in for the hour (see photo). Fortunately the walk to the coffee pot in the waiting area was long enough to fulfill the Fitbit goal. By the way, our order at least has been taken. UPDATE 2: It has only been 10 more minutes, but I'm out of coffee again. I walked over to the waiting area for refills, but the pot was gone!! At least the pleasant hostess apologized. UPDATE 3: Hooray, our food arrived! Still no coffee. But the food is tasty. Fortunately, we were in no hurry, so overall an ok experience. It would have been better had they offered a free "Pancake Café" coffee mug (I think they are attractive). Yes, I'll be back. This is one of my regular breakfast spots. My partner and I went to the vet that is right down the road. We were told to come back in one hour so we took the time to get breakfast. This was our first time here. While walking in the atmosphere was welcoming the people were respectful as we were seated promptly. It took 20 minutes for us to be seen by our server which was unfortunate due to the lack of time and there only being 3 other tables being served but we still wanted to see it through. When the food arrived it was undercooked and bland. I was not happy and my partner could see my distress and wanted to say something but due to the lack of time we didn't have the time to send the food back and wait for them serve us again. Super breakfast spot. We stumbled upon this place after a weekend wedding, and it was a great Sunday breakfast stop. Even though they were busy, the staff was super friendly and attentive. I really loved my breakfast quesadilla & wisco-style hasbrowns. The Bloody Mary had good flavor, but lacked all the "extras". It was simple, but did the trick. We had not been in years and wanted to give it another try. The only thing that was good was the omelet and the coffee. Service was fine. 8 am on a Saturday with one other table with people. Not a good sign. The table's coffee option sign was dirty, the salt and pepper shakers seemed dirty, just no attention to detail even with workers looking bored. Time to lean, time to clean? Weird tasting crepes with someone putting practically rotten bananas on top. Just don't care do you. I got the sense the oil on the griddle was old with that weird taste. I don't know where to begin! It was the worst food That I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Biscuits and gravy were like hard bricks. Eggs had a super buttery taste. The pancakes we didn't eat more than a couple bites they were so bad! It was way overpriced! I will pass on any Pancake Cafes that I see in the future. Niece wanted a waffle so found the place in google. Take out Service was good despite being busy in the morning. Waffle was general nothing to brag about. Ordered some crepes as well. Food: Bacon was over cooked, Pancakes for $$ but no sides included. Eggs had vanilla extract added for some reason wasn't a fan. Great place if you have a sweet tooth. Late had no flavors or aromas to speak of just crème and okay coffee for more than other overpriced establishments. Service: Staff where on their phones in the lobby, waitress was passive which isn't a bad thing but the minimum of asking about the food wasn't even completed. Best word I could say was lacking of passion. Ambiance: Establishment looks very pretty outside but nothing special on the inside. We were all sequestered into one portion of the restaurant so you could hear lots of conversation directly next to you. Our waitress was new and sweet as pie. So I got the 1-2-3 combo which included fried egg, two slices of bacon, and three small buttermilk pancakes. That's my usual combination and I've gotten it the few times that I've been to this Pancake Cafe in Fitchburg. The fried egg was decent tasting, and the bacon was a thickly crunchy, but the buttermilk pancake was disappointingly small and dry. Even with syrup (which was on a tray that was doused in syrup that dripped over and made it difficult to lift up the syrup container), the pancake still tasted dry. Keep in mind that a side off 3 slices of bacon would cost $5.99 (that's $2 a slice for bacon which is quite outrageous). Additionally, we ordered a liter of orange juice to share and that was $9.99 for the bottle (again fairly pricey for juice that didn't seem like it was freshly squeezed, don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad orange juice, it just didn't warrant costing that much!). Maybe it's just me but somehow all my meals today was disappointing but the meal that my boyfriend got was fairly delicious! I ended up picking off of his plate since his meal tasted better than mine. read more
