This is one of my preferred spots on the college side of town. It's a small, casual place with outdoor and indoor tables. The decor is colorful and festive. The place is a bit rundown but pleasant and more or less clean. There are two single-stall bathrooms. The menu is a typical Mexican restaurant menu, but the food is (in my opinion) above average. My favorites are the taco salad and the arroz con pollo, both of which are the same size but cheaper on the lunch menu. They have a small selection of the beers you'd expect as well as some Mexican sodas. Service is adequate and they have Apple Pay. read more

This place is good. Your typical Mexican restaurant with familiar options and yummy drinks with good drink related deals. I ordered a sangria and it tasted good, although I do wish it had fruit in it like a typical sangria and like what was pictured. I got the fried avocado tacos and a side of queso. I split the queso with a friend and there were still left overs and it was only $5.50 total. The tacos were a fair price and filled me up, I still had one leftover when I was done eating and I had come to the restaurant hungry. The fried avocado tacos were tasty but didn't have too much flavor, but nothing hot sauce couldn't fix. The chips were crispy and warm and while the salsa was delicious, it did have a sorta tomato paste texture and taste, so if you like chunkier salsa it may not be for you. They did have a whole vegetarian section in the menu. We came a little after lunch time so it wasn't very busy and the service was fast. read more

Absolute mindless trash...unless you are an FSU student with daddy's wallet and don't give a damn about quality. Every aspect of our 1 hour visit to this place was wrong. Went ahead and paid the bill although it was $35 higher than it should have been so I didn't make a scene. I didn't want to be that guy. Waitress thought a Texas margarita was the house version and vice versa. As I was writing this the waitress came back to try and make the tab right. Very sweet young lady. Feel really horrible because the owners didn't teach her anything. She is 18, walked in day 1 and took tables. Shame on the owner. Except for her, pretty much a completely trash experience. We had the pollo con crema and classic chicken fajitas on our first visit to this restaurant. I was drawn to try it after seeing the screened-in outdoor porch while stuck in traffic on Stadium Drive. It's a quaint little place with scrumptious food and extremely friendly staff. Parking was in demand at dinner time, possibly because a graduation ceremony was going on at FSU. My only quibble is that the beer list had Proof 85 but they had run out. It is rare I find any local craft beer at a Mexican restaurant, so I'd been hoping to order that. I came here a few days ago post-workout with my girls. We were craving some Mexican food and it was taco Tuesday, so we figured we would give this place a try! Parking is tight in the plaza, so carpooling is a must! It's right near FSU so it's very busy in the evenings. However, on the evening we went, we were seated quickly and were given chips and water! Maybe we just got lucky! The staff wear masks and the menus are now on a QR code system which kept the whole encounter sanitary and as germ free as possible. Which is always a plus with the current world situation! I ordered chicken enchiladas with three different sauces. The enchiladas were flavorful but I wish they had more meat in them. My friends seemed to enjoy their tacos! I don't believe that they have delivery but they have online ordering! All in all, we waited around an hour for our food. So make sure you aren't in any rush. Upon my recent visit to Tallahassee, I was in the mood for some shrimp tacos. In that way, Pancho's did not disappoint. The shrimp tacos were very tasty. The spicy sauce on the shrimp added a little kick to the flavor along with the lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. The restaurant decor is lively and the waitstaff was helpful. What a disappointment! I put in my order to go and when I got there, they hadn't even started it because of a computer problem. Well, stuff happens, so I'm not too upset. Then the server tells me they don't have choriqueso because they don't have chorizo. What? A Mexican grill without chorizo when it is on their menu in several places? I should have canceled right then. So, the queso would be ok, but she didn't even offer a refund on the price difference. The queso was just boring and bland and the chips were not salted. After waiting, I got my food and took it home. Awful. My friend 's dinner, the Arrachera, was practically inedible with gristle and fat. The corn tortillas were hard, stale, and cold. My food, the seafood Fajitas, was also horrible. The mahi-mahi was hammered. I don't mean just a little over, it was FISH JERKY! Hard pieces of hockey pucks that my dogs had problems chewing. The shrimp were ok, just a little over, but the scallops were MIA. No chorizo and no scallops? Who does the ordering for this place because they forgot the chorizo and scallops this week! And don't even get me started on the lack of seasoning or spice. Bad, bad, bad Mexican food. If you want good Mexican food, please don't think you can find it here. This place was okay. We initially tried to go somewhere else and that didn't work out. We needed somewhere quick and close to go so we chose here. It was pretty empty when we got there, there were a couple tables with people but overall not many and they were getting ready to leave. The bar was empty. It seemed as if they were getting ready to remodel or something. Things were off about this place. The waiter was okay. Had a deep accent, luckily we knew Spanish and it was easier to speak to him that way. One thing that was weird was that my boyfriend asked for sweet tea and he said he didn't have any. How do you not have sweet tea? We weren't sure if he understood so, again, we asked in Spanish. But to no avail, he was correct. I wanted to go basic and quick so I went with a shrimp quesadilla with rice and beans. It wasn't anything special. My boyfriend had the asada tacos that came with rice and charro beans. I honestly wanted to like it but it was pretty bland honestly. The chicken had almost zero flavor. The beef was a touch better but still lacking. Not the worst thing I have ever eaten, but could have been much better. I have never heard of a burrito with green beans, peas, and carrots in it. That threw me .... totally odd in a burrito. Didn't taste good as the beans were crunchy and uncooked too. When I asked why, they told me they use Mexican rice, and all Mexican rice contains this. And said it was a "fusion" burrito. However the menu didn't state this, and I never had green beans in my Mexican rice before. I'd skip if I were you. read more

The tables were covered in Mexican painting/artworks. The burritos there are good. The tortillas and wrap were heated, but not burnt. The cheese was gooey, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The only thing that could need improvement is the taste of the chicken, but even that wasn't bad. The chicken just has a neutral taste to it, tasted like normal chicken lol. The queso was amazing.
