Worst plate of chicken fried rice I've ever had. Took a few bites and threw it in the trash. What a waste of $11

I ordered a lunch special - the shrimp with cashews. You get a choice of white rice or pork fried, and either a crab Rangoon or an egg roll. The lunch specials are $8.25, and are a great deal! The menu includes all of the typical choices in a Chinese restaurant. I called in my order, and was told it would take 10 minutes. I picked up in 15 minutes, and my order was ready and hot. The lady behind the counter was kind and friendly, the inside is clean. There is no place to eat inside, so you'll have to take it to go. This is a solid choice for your Chinese craving! read more

The sweet and sour sauce appeared to have been thinned out and while everyone raves about their crab Rangoon. I found it nothing but sweetened cream cheese. Disappointed. Raising the price and lowering the quality. They are providing a different brand of soy sauce and it is tasteless. Ordered Chicken Chow Mein with rice and crunchy fried noodles. The crunchy noodles used to be smaller tender, airy pieces. Now they are long, hard, and tasteless. The Baby Shrimp breading came off in the bag it was served in and the Red Shrimp sauce was so thick you couldn't dip without breaking the shrimp in half. Called in a dinner order for family of three yesterday. My first phone call went to a voice mail but my message was returned promptly. Need to change Covid era photo on Tripadvisor .. looks much more inviting now. Order was prepared accurately and was ready when promised. Great carryout packaging allows easy storage in the fridge for leftovers .. of which there were plenty. We ordered Beef Lo Mein, Mixed Vegetables, and Pineapple Chicken. My favorite place for fast and delicious Chinese food! I have tried many dishes and all have been awesome! I usually get the cashew chicken, beef and broccoli or General Tso chicken. Fried rice that comes with the combos is cooked perfectly and flavorful. The crab rangoon is a must try! I call in my order ahead of time and it is ready quickly. This is a to-go place only. I walked in to place my order, and there were many who came in behind me that had called ahead. The staff was friendly and my wait time was short! I ordered fried dumplings and a General Tso's chicken. The dumplings had more breading than I am used to but they were delicious. The General Tso's was slightly more spicy than I'm used to but the go flavor was excellent and the portion's were large enough that it went unfinished (but also partly due to finishing dumplings). They are closed on Tuesdays and it's a good little mom and pop Americanized Chinese restaurant. I know it's a place I want to return to when my travels bring me to St. Louis! read more

I've been to Panda a couple times and I have to say it's one of my very favorite Chinese restaurants in StL! The staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal! The wonton soup, steamed dumplings and Crab Rangoon are a must! The sauce that comes with the steamed dumplings just takes them to the next level! If you're a wonton soup lover like me, you know that it is surprisingly hard to find a GOOD, real-tasting, NY-takeout-tasting option here in STL.... But this place seals the deal! The wonton soup is classic NY style and SO traditionally flavorful! Wonton noodles stuffed with pork all the way through-- zero skimping here. Big, juicy pork strips throughout. A rich, salt base contrasted with bright, fresh chopped scallion on top. The texture of the noodle is supreme. Chewy and intricate, and clearly hand-made. I ordered the large and wished I had more! Whenever I am sick or feeling cold or generally under-the-weather, my go-tos are wonton soup and/or matzo ball soup, so I am STOKED to have an excellent go-to stop for that now! read more

We have been enjoying this particular Chinese restaurant for at least 30 years...but pretty sure it changed hands about 10 years ago. However, the food has remained very good and consistent flavors. The staff are friendly and courteous always. During and after covid the dining room has remained closed, so to go orders only. Delivery is always sooner than expected and we have never received an inaccurate order whether dine in, pickup, or delivery. Definitely worth trying! You won't be disappointed. read more

Finally! A decent Chinese carry out for this area! The outside of this place looks blah. I have seen this place before and just kept going because it looked dreadful from the outside. I didn't even bother to go in here until I saw a few reviews from my fellow Yelpers. Looks are deceiving as this place has good Chinese food. The dining area is a little bigger and a lot cleaner then the average take out place but it is not high scale dining by any means. Though it does show that they take pride in their restaurant, at least from the inside. I dreaded asking for something specially made that was not on the menu but they accommodated me without pause and I have ordered it every time since with no problems. I had the Chicken and Pineapple dinner without breading on the chicken, with extra pineapple, broccoli & bean sprouts only. The chicken is not cut up chicken breast but it is better then all other Chinese food places where I have tried non-breaded chicken versions of this. The rice was good. (If you have had good rice then you know there is a difference. I just learned this myself in the last 5 years or so.) The egg roll was *very* good. My husband had the General Tsao Chicken and loved it. ---------- Easily the best choice for take out Chinese food in this area! Whenever my family gets Chinese, we normally go to a chain restaurant like Panda Express, but in my opinion, Panda is almost twice as good as those chain restaurants. Panda's Crab Rangoon is fried to utmost perfection and the sweet filling is incredible! I would also like to mention the tangy orange chicken. I think that the red pepper flakes that they add to the chicken add another aspect to the overall feel of the orange chicken. My entire family really enjoys the dishes here. Overall, this is a great alternative to any fast food or chain restaurant, which is why I rate Panda a 5/5. read more

The food was ok. Had the shrimp with lobster sauce which wasn't bad and the scallops with garlic sauce. The sauce on the scallops was more sweet and sour and everything tasted like bell pepper. I would not recommend the scallops. read more

I was going across the street to a Sandwich place but they were closed so i saw this?resturant and decided to give it a try. It was nothing special i ordered the chicken fried rice and it had a good amount of chicken and vegs but not much flavor. There dining room has been turned into a storage space which would be fine if customers didnt have to look at all the boxes, refrigerators, stacked tables etc. They need to update this place its looking a bit grimmy read more

I have been going there for a long time and their food is delicious. I ordered large chicken fried rice but there was no chicken in it. The next time I ordered it I said there was no chicken in it and they said it would be $1 or $2 dollars for chicken. So now you have to pay to get chicken in your chicken fried rice. They really did not care what I was saying. They are getting just like all the rest of the restaurants who don't care I might start looking around for a different place to go. read more

Pretty standard Chinese takeout. Used to be a great value, but now not so much as prices have increased. And quality of food is inconsistent. We went out of our way to try this place but it was worth it. The pork fried rice was awesome which is rare. Great flavor and fresh ingredients. Just check out the picture. The Szechuan Shrimp and Mongolian pork were very tasty and a little spicy. The Shrimp were a nice size and better than anywhere else we have tried. The best moo shu pork I've had in many a year. Come to think of it, I probably had the other best moo shu pork 20 years ago in Clayton or some such place and have kept ordering it and being disappointed all this time. The filling was tender and had a lot of flavor and the wrappers were thin but strong enough to hold together. The plum sauce was exceptional. read more
