Wild, that I haven't written a review for this Panda Express on Dimond...seeing as they have the most affordable family meal around! $39 for 2 lg sides and 3 lg entrees! Guaranteed leftovers. Their only competition is the Costco food court! In this climate even Mcdeez is a guaranteed $50/visit, with zero leftovers smh! I've yet to visit the interior of this Panda Express! I can tell from the drive thru, that it's bright, clean and modern inside. Panda Express' "drive thru crew," is top notch. One of few drive thru's where I know they're gonna get your order correct with zero missing items. Not to mention they also get your order out, fast. No complaints when it comes to the food. Not sure what all the bad ratings are about- but I do note they're all written by disgruntled people who only have one review, so I'd take them with a grain of salt. First off, this Panda has a really nice interior for fast food. The owner clearly invested in this location. It's also well managed. The dining room and bathroom are IMMACULATE. The food and portions were perfect when we visited. This is a much better managed location than the one in Spenard. The food quality here is better than some of the sit down Chinese-American restaurants in town. Definitely will be back. read more

Not sure how this place has such crummy reviews. I was SO happy to see Panda Express was being built on this side of town! The best orange chicken ever! A bowl combo is $9.10. This is one meat and one side. I really like the orange chicken + fried rice bowl... and for $9 you can't really complain. Currently the dining room isn't open. Your options are Drive thru or order online and pick up. Typically I go through the drive thru which has always been pleasant. Tonight we had a trailer on the truck so we did the online order with pick up. The online system is super user friendly and they give you a time ETA before you order, and then an exact time for pick up. Currently they have someone bring the food out, so you don't have to leave your car. Did I mention the order chicken is so good?!? read more

Not impressed. There food is below average & over priced at the Dimond location. Now this restaurant in Henderson Nevada was great every time I ate there . The staff would offer you a little taste if there was a dish I was interested , extremely polite employees, happy to wait on each customer with a positive personality, and the restaurant & women's bathroom spick & span. I ordered via the drive through at the Dimond Blvd location in Anchorage. The person taking my order entered the wrong rice, even though she repeated what I had ordered correctly. Over half my order was incorrect, and two items I had ordered were not included in the bag, which I found out when I got home. I ordered teriyaki chicken TWICE and most of chicken was black/burnt!! I tried calling the phone number on receipt but NO ONE answered!! I checked number on Yelp, it was different, so I called. I usually stop by to get food here because it's close to where I work. Had some good services through the drive through. Really adorable kids passing out the food, telling us have nice day and drive safe. Also cracking jokes trying to gain attraction to the restaurant. My only issue though when I decided to dine in to eat some of the workers seem like they hate their job. So my family and I have busy lives and sometimes don't get the chance to cook and need to grab food on the way home. I'm not sure why we keep going here because there have been several occasions, including tonight, that we arrive just after 9:00pm (and they don't close until 10:00pm) and there's hardly any food. Not only is there hardly any food left, they refuse to re-stock or cook fresh food when you ask and the food that is available is cold and horrible. The "dining area" has been all but closed down and it is apparent that they are in a rush to get out of there as soon as the clock hits 10:00. This place started out great, but went downhill fast! I keep coming back with hopes that it will get back to being great, but it hasn't happened and it will soon be closed down. As other have stated they close down making food way before closing time limiting your options. Even during summer when people are outside enjoying the extended daylight. They should really take a lesson from Canes Chicken down the block who stays open late and the line of cars is continuous. Even Taco Bell and Mickey D's are always open later and packed with cars. In addition the portions have drastically been reduced but I guess that's inflation for you. If the owners would just send secret shoppers to find out for themselves. It may be just this location as I've been to the Spenard and Tikathnu location and they didn't seem to have the issues. Craving the original orange chicken is what got me coming here on a Wednesday evening. Anchorage is growing with new chain restaurants every year, and looks like it's on its 3rd Panda Express location in town. I ordered online for pickup for a family meal (2 sides, and 3 large entrees) and it was a bit frustrating that the lobby was closed to the public. This meant that even though my order was ready to be picked up, I had to go through the drive thru window and wait more to pick up my order. I don't know if they can update this information online. Otherwise, don't bother calling ahead for food. Chosen the chow mein noodles for the sides, and orange chicken, broccoli beef, and Beijing beef (sweet/spicy beef) as the entrees. They tasted like expected: cheap bare minimum flavored Chinese food. Except on the colder side. The food got cold by the time I picked up from the drive through. It is a shame though, because the orange chicken was really what I was looking forward to. It was on the soggy side and no crunch. Tasted kind of old too. Won't be coming back unfortunately. Chow mein was a bit dry, and the beef broccoli was mostly broccoli (80/20 ratio). Beijing beef was super sweet and had gelatine consistency. No bueno. Ordered two bowls and two 2 entree plates. Customer service in ordering and at the window was great. Food. barely a 2. Portions were so small. Broccoli Beef had a whole 4 small pieces of meat for the bowl. All four orders ere not enough to feed 3 small eaters. We are not big eaters. Bland taste, rice was dry, no distinctive flavor variation other than the one spicy chicken. Would not eat there again due to poor value for meal received. The smell of the food I ordered to go just seemed off (chicken & broccoli) . The chicken texture was soft and rubbery all at the same time and the broccoli was heavily soaked in a salt brine. I took a few bites and just couldn't eat the rest. I doubt I'll ever eat there again. read more

Was hoping this convenient drive through would offer decent chinese food and a few things are good but most are so far below par as is most Chinese food in Anchorage. Have tried different items in 3 visits. The fried rice is terrible and I would think you would want this to be one of your best made dishes. The only things I will get again are the Black Pepper Angus Steak and maybe the Honey Walnut shrimp. I hate to write bad reviews but I want them to up their game and get a manager and crew who cares about the food. It is too expensive for the value.
