We went to this location specifically because we had a coupon from a SaveAround book we bought from a local elementary school. When we presented the coupon, we were told it was fraudulent and would not be honored. The explanation given is that it wasn't authorized to be printed. The manager seemed to hear this but kept helping the window crowd. I realize it's busy at 8 but they even failed to give us the basic sauces and extras for our meal. They forgot my egg rolls in the drive thru. I got all the way home. I called and the manager wanted me to come back. I asked if he could simply remove the egg rolls and he said no, and that he will honor the egg rolls on my next order and make sure i bring the receipt. My regular Chinese food place closed down so am looking for a new place. This was my first time at Panda Express. I got Beef & Broccoli w/ fried rice to go. I get home and notice I have 5-6 tiny strips of beef and a mountain of broccoli. The few pieces of beef were overcooked, one was grisly and the fried rice tasted burnt. I've eaten at Panda Express many times and I usually have an average experience, nothing special but that's what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant. However last night I had a terrible experience. I went through the drive-through and ordered the beef and broccoli bowl, when I got my order there were over 10 pieces of broccoli and about four pieces of the beef (I wish I could post a picture so you know I'm not exaggerating) so I asked for a bit more beef, I watched the employee let the manager know and she put more beef in for me, me I got my order back there was only one small extra piece. I asked for the manager (Marisol) when she came to the window I asked for more beef, she stated that she is unable to give me more because this is how it comes. I showed her how little beef there was and she still, very rudely refused to give me more. I asked "what do I need to do to get more beef"? In order for me to be satisfied with my meal, I had to pay an extra $4.44 for more beef, I spent almost $11.00 on a very small meal just so I could have more beef. The next day (today) I call the GM Danielle who I explained the situation to, she then told me that the beef and broccoli is low Calorie and is suppose to come with less beef. Which is a lie. No place on the menu does it state low calories, and even so, if a customer asks for more of something, especially seeing what they ask isn't a ridiculous request, it is their JOB to satisfy the customers! I love this location compared to the one on William Cannon (near Mopac) and the one in the mall. This one always gives good amounts of your order. They've been scrimping on the beef in the broccoli beef lately, but usually they are pretty good. My boyfriend always gets a large order of orange chicken and they pack that thing as full as possible! Even though this location is farther from me than the william cannon one, it's worth it. The service is better, and the amount in the orders are better. Plus, the food is usually fresher. Stay away from the drive-thru. It seems that at any location, the drive-thru service is pretty poor. I like Panda Express, but this location is hit or miss. They seem to be prompt during irregular meal times, but at 7 PM everyone seems to move as slow as possible. I literally finished my meal before 5 people were served. Scoop the food, put it on the plate, and charge me. Definitely need to remove the word express from this location. Why does this take well over 5 min?! My food was nearly room temp after waiting so long to pay. They clearly had an adequate amount of employees. Also, use the shades on your windows! But we can see people in line, and they don't close for another hour, so we looped around and called to see if the drive thru was closed, and maybe it was just a prank? Wow, the family and I have been coming to this location for years, its the kids favorite....but, when they don't even finish their dinners, and say its tastes different and not very good there is a problem! Lets begin, service as always was great, friendly faces greeting me. Of course they offered samples...the battered walnut shrimp, it wasn't clear if there was a tail on it or not...it was covered in batter...yeah it still had its tail. I'd had the orange chicken before, but sure I'll take a sample. Gristly and tasteless. I should have seen the signs...I brought the food home to my kids, like I've done several times before. The rice looked great, but was so bland...like flavorless. Disappointing. And the orange chicken...what I'm sure is the #1 seller...also didn't have much flavor orange or otherwise, but it gets worse...it was really chewy...like it had come from a bad part of the chicken. Like poor quality chicken. Maybe it was just a bad batch, the meat, maybe not Panda's fault...unless they've started using lower quality of meat...to save money...speaking of money...did they start using smaller styrofoam containers? Seems like there was less orange chicken as well as blackened chicken...which seemed lighter than usual in terms of meat, with a lot more celery and onion. Also Panda Express is easier on the wallet than most choices when your dining out. It's fast food feel but not low quality fast food.
