You made a fan out of me! My first impression of Skyline came from the friendly and welcoming customer service especially for someone trying the franchise for the first time. My first trip I tried one of their coney dogs and loved the the flavor of the chili with that tangy hint of mustard so much, I came back the next day while I was visiting family in Ohio. I also enjoyed it so much, I discovered its sold in stores in St Louis! Safe to say I can see why those from Cincy love it so much. The chili is flavorful. It is supposed to be a blank canvas and the cinnamon offers another depth. I would like to give four stars, maybe even five. We love stopping here for a four-way with onions and chili dogs. Sometimes you just have to satisfy that craving! Sadly, over the last year, several times when we stopped in, we left without ordering. Why? Because the dining room is disgusting. Every booth is dirty. Food and crumbs are on the seats and on the floor. No one greets us or cares that we have no place to sit that's clean. This place was abysmal. We will never go to a Skyline chili again. This was our first and last time! First, we came in and every booth except one was dirty and waiting to be bussed. We took the last clean booth available. It took 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order/food order. She came back with 2 diet cokes instead of a Diet Coke and diet Dr Pepper. Our food arrived 15 minutes later (which I don't understand bc it wasnt busy, and I'm assuming everything is already made and ready to plop on a plate?). Our food was so cold, and there was hardly any chili at all on or in our burritos. It was just weird. After tip, it was almost $30 for the worst lunch we have ever tried. I can't believe this place is so popular all over Ohio! It does not make any sense! The chili itself barely had meat, it was just sauce. I completely agree with the star-rating for this Skyline Chili! The service here is always so great! I have never had a poor experience here! On a "cheat" day, I like to enjoy a couple of cheese coneys (topped with chili, mustard, onions, and cheese of course - give me all the fixins). I also enjoy the three way - spaghetti noodles topped with chili and cheese. Skyline chili is seriously so good! Who doesn't like some cinnamon in their chili? This Skyline also offers cheesecake on their menu that they switch up seasonally. Yum! The only thing that I do not like at Skyline is their shoestring fries. Very good location for the famous Skyline Chili. I usually get a Coney Dog with everything on it, a 5-way meal and a Dr Pepper. If you leave here hungry then you messed up. Wait staff is attentive, check on you often but don't hover. Prices are good and a meal as described above will run you about $15. I have never been disappointed here. read more

I haven't eaten at Skyline Chili in 20 years and decided to give it another shot at this location in Canal Winchester. My God did I make a huge mistake! $7.50 for the very small potato, $5.50 for what they call a "chili" bowl (mostly water)and $4 for the "funnel fries" which felt like chewing on rubber. I'm astounded that this cost me $17!!! I called them after getting home and the manager was like it was your choice to eat here. Say what? I'll NEVER EVER eat at Skyline Chili again!! All I could think of is how I could've spent $17 at any other fast food restaurant and could've never came close to eating it all. Let me start out by saying that if you don't "get" Cincinnati style chili, then you just don't understand the appeal of Skyline. For those of us who DO get it, we love it! It had been several years since I'd actually visited a Skyline location. I've bought the cans of Skyline to bring home, but it's just not the same. As I was on my way home from visiting friends, I saw a sign for Skyline and knew I had to stop in. Since it had been a while, I had forgotten how the setup works. When you walk in, it looks like you order from the counter, but there are no signs or anything to help you figure out where to go or what to do. I just stood looking lost for a minute, until one woman finally told me to have a seat wherever I wanted. Oh yeah, that's it! They actually have table service! She took my order and was quick to bring the food to me. And yes, it was as delicious as I remember. My only complaint is that I was interrupted so many times by overzealous staff and management asking if everything was OK.....I appreciate them being attentive, but seriously, every 2 minutes was a bit much! And I was trying to watch the football game, so the constant interruptions were really not welcome. But I'll forgive them, since the food was so yummy. read more

I'm giving a 4-star review to the place that screwed up my order. Why? Because when I brought it to their attention, they corrected it, apologized, and refunded my money. GREEK OR BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAP. If you get either, you'll be mad you didn't before and shocked that you can get a wrap that good in a drive thru. Skyline is a Cincinnati favorite and it tastes just as good here in Canal Winchester! I've been to this Skyline twice in the last 2 years to visit with my old college roommate who fly's in from Minnesota. He doesn't have a Skyline there so when he is in town we head to Skyline! You can't go wrong with the food! A 3 way, 4 way, cheese coney, potato, burrito, or salad - it is all so very good! The food is quick, hot, fresh, and delicious. The service is top notch. The servers quickly take your order, get crackers, drinks and if you have any concerns they address them. We typically stop in during the fall when the Bengals are playing on a Sunday. The restaurant staff typically hangs out with us while we discuss Cincinnati, football, Skyline in Cincinnati, etc. It's always fun. My friend is outrageous anyway. He draws his own attention. I give this Skyline 5 stars for consistently delivering good service and product! I look forward to coming back in! Not only did I get the chance to crash the "cool kids" party, I also had the most interesting conversation with District Manager (I believe) Todd R. From the Skyline story to SEC football, Todd's engaging personality felt familiar, like the Southern hospitality I'm used to! He explained to me how they seek to hire great people with friendly, outgoing personalities, and it was evident with everyone at work tonight. On my previous trips to Skyline locations near Cincy I've never been impressed with the much too small coneys. This time I tried the 4 way with onions and the original burrito deluxe. Both of those items hover near the $6 mark, and both were well worth their price. If you like the chilli from Skyline, dare I say the burrito rivals one from Chipotle? Plus it's cheaper. Really love the food BUT it is soooo cold in the restaurant- they say if they turn the A/C up to make it any warmer then condensation will form on the floor and people will fall. Huh?. It was literally so cold and uncomfortable that I had my arms inside my dress to keep from shivering. Anyone who had a jacket in their car had them on. Also had to wait for them to cook the beans so our 2 coneys, 1 three way and 1 five way took over 30 minutes to make. Very disappointed. The waitress Libby did a good job although she said she would take something off the bill (we didn't ask her to) for the extreme wait but she didn't. I recently had the opportunity to attend my first Yelp! Elite event at Skyline Chili and it was definitely amazing. The hospitality of ALL of the crew and managers alike made for a wonderful evening. They have never gotten my drive-thru order wrong and the chili is always consistently delicious (unlike some other local establishments).
