I recently ordered lunch using the Panda Express app for pick up. I got the plate, which comes with two entrees and a side (or you can do half & half of two sides). I opted for the Traditional Orange Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken with 1/2 fried rice and 1/2 noodles. I'm pretty sure that I was given the newer, spicy version of the Orange Chicken, but I was okay with that. It actually turned out to be very delicious. I also enjoyed the fried rice, but the noodles were a bit dry. I arrived at the store for pick-up, and they had quite a line forming, so I was happy to be able to skip the line and pick up my order right away. I have had issues with previous orders, so I decided to check my order before leaving. I had specified which sauces I wanted, and I had all but the teriyaki sauce, so I asked for some. For some odd reason, I feel like they are always a bit stingy with the teriyaki sauce. I also ordered the veggie spring rolls and they were my absolute favorite part of the entire meal. Next time, I think I'll have the spicy Orange Chicken and several spring rolls! This location is always loud and busy, but it is kept very clean. We landed back home in Indy, finally getting out of Ft. Myers after Hurricane Ian, craving Chinese food. (Family is safe but our hearts go out to those who lost so much.) We stopped by Panda Express on Carmel Drive. We like Panda Express because of the fresh and consistent food. It is also a private business, started by two graduates of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas.... my wife's alma mater. However, this experience was a bit different that our previous. First, we arrived at 7:58pm and their sign was not lit. It is now getting dark outside earlier and we thought perhaps they closed at 8pm. However, the sign on the door said open to 9pm so we went inside. The lighting outside was so poor that they about lost us as a customer, thinking they were not open. Inside there were two individuals preparing a large To-Go order. We were the only individuals in the restaurant, the customer with the To-Go order had not arrived. We waited for 4 minutes while the two individuals NEVER acknowledged us. They continued preparing the boxes for the large order. They didn't say "Hello", "It will be a minute" or anything! When they finished the To-Go order, the first individual turned to us and asked "What can I get you?" No acknowledgment of our long wait or "Welcome to Panda." We placed our order, he boxed it, and slide the box down the line. There were now more customers behind us in line and he turned to help them. We continued to the cash register and waited for the second individual to arrive to check us out. Again, he did not say a word to us. He simply grabbed the boxes and rang them up. At this point, I told him "I don't know what you just rang up, but that is too many boxes for our order." He had grabbed the food for the individual behind me as well. Perhaps he should have spoken to us, and maybe confirmed our order before ringing it up? He corrected the order but did not say "I'm sorry, "thank you", "have a good evening" or anything. So much for friendly service here now.... or at least last night. I ordered two servings of the Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Rice and Lo Mein. It is nice that they allow you to get 1/2 Fried Rick and 1/2 Lo Mein, and count it as one side. The food was hot, fresh and good. The bins had plenty of options. Also, as we were eating, I was pleased to see the first individual checking the temperature of the food bins. I guess I will sacrifice customer service for good, and safe to eat, food..... but I'd really like both! read more

Typically this location is great! Always delivers good and quality food, consistently. Today, however, I ordered for pickup online, and upon arriving to my house and opening my "plate" meal of white rice and super greens, it was clear that the care normally taken to prepare orders was missing. I believe that a spoon used to scoop some of the meat entrees had been used to scoop the white rice into my container. As a lifetime vegetarian and picky eater, the whole meal has become inedible due to that fact. Very frustrating, paying $12 for a meal I can't even eat. read more

On two separate occasions, my husband and I have ordered dinner from here to be delivered, once through their website and once through door dash. Both times, they have failed to include the entrees I ordered with my plate. The first time this happened we called and got a refund, and we understand honest mistakes happen. However, when this happened again the very next time we ordered, we were stunned. Also, the store manager told us over the phone the first time this happened that if we used door dash then we would be given the option to have someone send us the missing food. This turned out not to be true, and we ended up with a door dash credit that only covered half of what it cost to reorder the missing items. We only have food delivered when we absolutely can't make it out, so it is absolutely unacceptable to forget to include half of someone's meal and not offer any way to replace the items. And the last time I was there, I spilled a soda and they were super cool about it. Prices are fair and portions are generous. I highly recommend the honey walnut chicken and the cream cheese Rangoon. Panda is decent enough in the sense that you can eat clean and avoid junkie carbs if that's you MO. Went with the beef and broccoli semi-low carb and not bad, hook up on some other fiber veggies, unsweet tea, in and out in a jiffy. It's not authentic Chinese I know but that's not what I'm looking for all the time, sometimes it's just lunch. Service was fine, if I'm in a pinch you can always do worse. They don't have curbside pickup nor sit down eating....... Panda Express, no, just no. This isn't the way of going about this. The chicken was really fatty and I couldn't even tell if my chicken was chicken or not. We ordered the family order with lo mein and rice. I was worried about my daughter eating it and getting food poisoning. My daughter and I both didn't eat. I was willing to bring back food for a full refund but it was closing time. I called about a refund 2 weeks ago and the guy never gave me my refund and basically called me a liar. When I got home. My egg rolls were not chicken egg rolls instead they were veggie egg rolls. I was more or so more angry about the guy refusing me any type of refund. Then he tried to tell me he could only replace my food for more of their food. I am disgusted by the way I was treated. I can't describe why, but I always crave Panda Express when I know there's one around! It's probably considered to be the McDonald's of Asian food, and I'm sure the sodium levels make my blood pressure go through the roof after I eat it, but I still love going there as an occasional treat. I make an effort to get something healthy, and usually choose a vegetable entree for one of my choices. The second choice is usually a chicken-based option. I skip the rice, round things off with a drink and a fortune cookie, and I'm one happy camper. I visited this Panda Express on a busy noon time. I quickly walked in to a packed, small restaurant, was friendly greeted and quickly got the food I asked for in less than 3 minutes. After driving 10 minutes home to eat my food, it was still really warm and really fresh. Very fast experience at a very busy Panda Express was overall great and not what I expected. Well, I knew what I was getting into when I came. There's nothing bad about Panda Express. It's just that the food has some type of taste to it that I can't quite describe. Maybe it's MSG. Maybe other preservatives. I'm not really sure what it is, but it's distinct and not terribly enjoyable. The chicken egg rolls are particularly exemplary of what I'm talking about. We ordered online 15 minutes in advance to pick up our order. Then waited outside for another 35 minutes. There are 15 people standing outside of the building waiting for their orders. They were not making the orders in order. Nobody answers the phone everyone outside was calling and none of the workers seemed to care what was going on. This joint is snug. We visit on a Friday close to 2:00p. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be a busy lunch rush. Maybe get it to go at busy times. We're first timers to any Panda Express - including this one. We choose 2 2-entree plates - we both get orange chicken, she gets beef broccoli w/ side of fired rice. I the strong bean chicken and steamed veg. Like any chinese restaurant, you can vary your order and keep calories super low avoiding rice and breaded frieds. We both would not order orange chicken again - just flat. Beef/broccoli, string bean chicken & steamed veg were all outstanding and very fresh. Pricing - bit high for quick lunch at about $8 w/ water to drink. But- Other than a vary to the norm - I'll go back to Mandarin House around the corner on Rangeline - get same delish food AND soup AND rangoons AND a server for less dough. read more

It's hit or miss with this location. Sometimes I get friendly patient servers and sometimes I get servers who rush me while I'm ordering. The food is your typical Panda Express food. Taste the same just about everywhere I go. This location is rather small. Just a quick stop and go. Very crowded around noon and the wait is maybe 5 minutes or less. It's always freezing!
