Every fiber of my being wanted to love it here. Environmentally, I've never been more at home. This place has me thinking there's a negative correlate between formal table setups and comfort. Every dining surface was copy-pasted from church luncheon lore. Lulling me into a peaceful position, plastic chair and tablecloth combos will have me sharing diabolical information to strangers. To add to this growing acceptance, all fifty sauce offerings gathered in unity on some singular, sequestered side table. These bottles issued the friendly challenge to, "Come try us all big fella." I need this dipping accountability everywhere. Adel's welcome persisted, this time into some more specific items of locational bliss. Bathrooms have wall-mounted soap dispensers, boring. Sometimes your spare Sunoco may slap down a countertop soap dispenser and ignore filling the wall-mount, understandable. Here, they didn't fill the wall-mount and put down two countertop soaps, assertive. Something about this gesture promises efforts elsewhere, I like that. For the remainder of my carry-out wait I watched an NBA game which I soon realized to be a rerun. Playing full games of old on the lone TV (in I believe to be Arabic) is so unbelievably cool. As many close to me would know, I was dialed into this telly. Now onto the sad part. Grub was just off. Each item in my assorted platter was a little weird in flavor profile. This could be a potential missing ingredient, recipe imbalance, or simply doing more than what's necessary. I still chowed, but it didn't have me itching to return, even considering all of the aforementioned acclaim. Hoping my plate was the exception and that Adel's keeps pumping out meals for the foreseeable future. Cheers to setting the tone well.

We love Adele's! The food is amazing and the portions are so generous! We drive over from Noblesville at least once a month for this delicious fare! The owner is friendly and always cares.

Excellent gyro and super friendly service. Adel's is a much needed and much appreciated Mediterranean destination on the north side. The gyro was delicious. Not a big fan of their pre-crisped seasoned fries. I'd rather have classic crinkle style. Great for Carryout and there are several inside tables too. They may have the largest collection of hot and other sauces available on a side table for customers.

This place is def a mom and pop place. There were 2 ppl working on a Thursday lunch. You order at counter, and they bring it out. The food is good, the gyros was the star. I regret ordering the chicken Schwarma instead of the Gyros. They have plenty of different sides and specials including aveglemono lemon rice soup. I will get that the next time. You wait longer for smaller restaurants, but we did not mind. There are no fountain drinks, just a cooler of bottles and cans. The ambiance was rustic. I think they do a lot of carry out. There is a table of hot sauces, and some tables with succulents. This is not a place I would go out of my way to frequent, but if you are in the area, get some gyros.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. We went on a Wednesday during lunchtime. The owner took our order immediately, and told us what was popular (gyros) and what he recommended. I ordered the chicken shawarma, my friend ordered the gyro. Both orders were made fresh and we were served about 10-12 minutes after our orders were taken. The food was DELICIOUS. The chicken was tender and had good flavor, as did the tzatziki and hummus. My friend really enjoyed his gyro. Prices were fair too for how much food we got ($16.33 after tax for my shawarma and soda). The owner was super friendly too, and offered us THE best baklava I've had. Sweet, sticky, and just big enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's safe to say this spot made our favorites for office day lunches. We'll be back soon!

A little surprise with the number of happy reviews that it was pretty quiet inside. They have a number of sauces/seasonings to add, pick your choosing. Spicy Gyro with homemade Tzatziki sauce. Great gyro of nice chucks and plenty in my lunch. Sauce was good and not overpowering like some others I've had where the flavor and smell stay with you for the rest of the day. Really good and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside crinkle cut fries. OMG- the baklava! Fresh- soft- bursting with flavor tasting the honey, filo, and a background of nuts. A must! This is worth the stop if your in the area

Probably the BEST Gyros I've had in Indy! Full of flavor, fresh tzatziki sauce and a warm and fluffy pita that was the perfect compliment to the gyro! The service was great, met the owner who took my order, and came by to make sure it tasted good and what I expected. It's a smaller restaurant, yet clean and plenty of tables. There were probably only a dozen people in the restaurant when I ate, but a number of people ordered their food to go. Will definitely come back soon!

So worth dealing with the construction to support this locally owned Carmel gem! Amazing Gyros and Baklava!

So I have been a big fan of Adels for years. A couple years back they had a fire and I was so excited to see they were back open. Finally had a chance to visit with a friend today and it could have gone much better. First and foremost they still have a huge gyro. The owner and his wife are still there. The restaurant was pretty full but no one in line at the counter. We were greeted and our offer was taken quickly. Then the wait began. It took over 35 minutes to get two gyros and fries. The pita was not warmed or if so it was cold by the time we got our meals. The meat was slightly warm and the fries were warm but wouldn't call them hot. I truly hope they can get more efficient as a lunch venue most people just don't have that long to wait for a meal. The tzatziki is really good here so if you have the time give them a try. The decor is nice and bright after the remodel.

After deciding we'd like to have something along the lines of gyros we found this great little place. They are amid construction and chaos outside but that didn't stop us from finding our way in, we were hungry. We were welcomed right away and got our drink orders. We chose hummus which was served quickly and was oh so good. Super fresh, drizzled with olive oil and served with warm pita bread- which was refilled promptly when we got low at no extra cost. We both ordered gyro bowls, we never order the same thing but it just sounded good to each of us. The plates came and everything that was supposed to be hot was hot, what was supposed to be cold was cold and every bite delicious. I wast expecting anything special of the fries, I mean it's a Mediterranean place, so I felt like they were just kind of a side to the dish. They were amazing, the seasoning just right ... yum! The portions were plentiful and we took leftovers home. We don't often get dessert but the baklava was calling so we got one to share and the staff brought us a little sample of another dessert they were considering for the menu Something along the lines of a coconut macaroon that was super buttery and sweet. My husband got the Turkish coffee to go with dessert and if you've never had it, it is a sweet treat in itself. We both walked out saying we want to come back next time we are in the area, or we may possibly make the trip just for the meal if we get a hankering for Mediterranean food. The staff said they would be closed for a short time for some remodeling, but that wouldn't take long. It was a few weeks ago when we were there so it may have all already happened. This is certainly a place to stop by!

The guy working was very helpful and took the time to explain the dishes to us in the Buffett. We opted for the Buffett today (only runs fri-sun) and while I would love to tell you everything we had, I'd be lying if I said I remembered all the names of the dishes. But trust me when I say the food was fresh, hot and lots of variety. Started off with some hummus, salad, pasta salad, and some other cold sides that I forget the name. The pasta salad was fine, but def okay to skip and stick to the other sides to which you won't be disappointed! The pita was also fresh and so good! Some of the stand outs for the main dishes I LOVED the mushroom beef dish and the chicken I got was so tender it was FALL OFF THE BONE! Also their spaghetti (reminded me more of a Mac and cheese) was so creamy and packed with flavor along with corn and mushrooms. Sounds wild, but trust me - so good! It was overwhelming trying to decide what to get next and making sure I didn't over do it too much so I could try everything! Again I know this isn't the best since I don't know all the names and I have no pictures (I ate too quickly and then realized after the fact and didn't think empty/dirty dishes would be appealing). Just trust me when I say the buffet is worth it. I then had the baklava for dessert and that was also good! We can't wait to come back and order from the menu. Looking to try gyro for sure next time! Hummus was a bug portion served with 6 pieces of pita bread. It was so good. Smooth and flavorful. My wrap was great as well, it had not only chicken but also something like tabouli. They had all kinds of soda drinks in the fridge. I had never seen any of them before and it was quite exciting. Although this is a sit down restaurant when I paid with my card, I was told their card machine doesn't give any tipping option, to my surprise. I recommend brining some cash. When we arrived, the place was empty. We weren't even sure that they were open until we saw the kitchen staff behind the line. Upon entering, I saw a kiosk where you can place your order, but a woman emerged from the back to take our orders. Being that we weren't familiar with the menu, I told her that the kiosk might be easier. She insisted that it wasn't, and as I went on, I realized the same. The kiosk states that there is a $1.25 charge for the sauce on the side, but she explained that it comes with one sauce free of charge and additional sauces cost extra. We placed our order with her: A small Italian salad to share, the Fatty B calzone with the spicy marinara sauce and the Hot Mother Clucker calzone with the chipotle garlic ranch. We ordered them with the suggested sauces but also order the regular marinara and the garlic sauces on the side. We were given glasses for water (self-serve from the soda fountain) and also ordered a bottled beer and canned cider. By the time we were done ordering, a line had formed. The store was understaffed, which was explained to us later, so we had to exercise patience. We didn't receive our beverages until after the calzones were delivered. Before that, we received our rather large, small salad. It was more than enough for two people. The woman had explained to us that it comes with 4 cups of lettuce plus the toppings. That information helped us make our decision to share. The space is large and we noticed cornhole boards to be used on the patio. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went, otherwise we would have played. The calzones were good and filling. Neither of us finished ours and had food to enjoy at home later that evening. The Hot Mother Clucker isn't very pizza-esque, but dipping it into marinara sort of brought it back into the fold. The suggested chipotle garlic ranch was a better pairing indeed. The salad bowl/plate is oddly shaped, which caused toppings to being spilling off the sides. When it was brought to our table, the woman tried saving the toppings by wedging them between the order slip and her fingers and dumping them back onto our plate. I stopped her. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I don't want to eat food that a stranger's hands have touched. I explained this to her. She tried to assure us that she washes her hands constantly throughout the day, but she'd just come over from the register without a handwashing break. Just let the toppings fall where they may! Let's keep it hygienic.
