I've visited this location many times. The food is okay. What you would expect at Panda Express. However, the dining room experience is horrible. Many times when dining random people will just come in and refill their cups with soda and ice that are not paying customers. They do not get turned away or stopped. During my most recent visit, a homeless man entered and sat next to us. He started then helping himself to the soda dispenser and ice. I politely asked the staff if they would address it and ask him to leave as he smelled very bad and was making it hard to enjoy my meal. The staff did nothing. Could care less. I do not think I will be back to this location as I do not want to support a business that does not prioritize their paying customers over thieves and homeless people that smell and deter people from eating there. read more

It's nice that Carmichael finally has a Panda Express that's been open a little over a year now. It's located in the FoodMaxx shopping center in its own stand alone building. The inside is nice it's had plenty of seating and very spacious. The customer service is extremely hit or miss. Some the staff should even be working public with the unnecessary rudeness. I get many Panda Express restaurants are super stingy with the portions for the prices they charge, but this one is crazy stingy. The food is always uber fresh and delicious. If they can work on the customer service and the portions without customers asking for more this would be a good location. read more

This is a brand new location, built from the ground up, and honestly -- it's one of the nicest Panda Express designs I've ever seen! The entryway, the décor, the layout of the tables, everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together. It even seemed like they had a few more entrée selections than usual, which was a nice surprise. Plus, the mobile order station was very well organized and easy to navigate. Now, for the honest part: I almost gave this place a 2-star rating. When my partner and I came in for dinner, what we wanted was out, but they told us a new batch would be ready in "about 4 minutes." No problem, we agreed to wait and went up to pay. Unfortunately, the cashier had no idea what was going on. We had to repeat our order multiple times, and she kept messing up the total. Eventually, we got it sorted, paid, and sat down. After about 10 minutes, I noticed the customer behind us, who ordered the same thing, was already eating. When I asked about it, the cashier casually told me they had messed up our order, skipped over us, and that it would be another 10 minute wait. No real apology, no solution offered, just a shrug and a "sorry" that honestly felt like she didn't care at all. At that point, I was pretty frustrated. BUT, and this is important, one of the other team members stepped up. She came over, apologized sincerely, admitted the mistake, and not only corrected the order but also gave us the incorrect bowl that had been made by accident. She turned a really disappointing experience into a much better one, and I truly appreciated that. Mistakes happen, what matters is how you fix them, and she handled it with care and professionalism. I wish I had gotten her name to give her a proper thank you. So overall: the restaurant itself is beautiful, the food is what you expect from Panda (when it's done right), and while the initial service wasn't great, the way one staff member took ownership and fixed the situation made all the difference. read more

Portion size super small, chow mein had absolutely no flavor and Looks like just heated up spaghetti noodles. Orange chicken looks like what you would find at the bottom of the bag of frozen chicken.Small and really heard. Honey walnut shrimp had no flavor as well. We decided to order inside because the drive-thru line was ridiculously long, even though the line inside wasn't too bad. I ordered a plate with super greens, string bean chicken, and chicken teriyaki. At the time, they were still cooking the super greens, so my husband and I waited. After 30 minutes of waiting, I noticed other customers getting plates with super greens, so I asked about our order. That's when the workers told us we were now waiting on the string bean chicken--which made no sense, because there was plenty of it available when we placed our order. Apparently, they don't start making your plate until the first item you're waiting on is ready, but that system is flawed because by the time that item is done, theres another item that is gone. It's completely backwards. We waited another 10 minutes before a worker finally brought out our food--but without a bag. I had to remind her that we also ordered cream cheese rangoons. She then went and found the bag our food was supposed to be jn with the missing rangoons inside. We got home, ready to finally eat, only to find out my teriyaki chicken was completely missing. At this point, I honestly don't know what the issue is with this Panda Express. Whether it's the drive-thru chaos or just poor management, something is seriously wrong here. I once again have been lured to this location by what appears to be a convenient drive-through, but it takes an absolute eternity to get through it. It's a two lane drive-through. The other lane has never been opened since the location opened and they basically take orders through the single lane almost one at a time. Another time about a month and a half ago I placed a mobile pick up order and it took nearly 40 minutes in total. They cleared my name off of the waiting board so it looked like they had completed it so it didn't mess up their numbers. They're still pretty brand new but they definitely have work to do to get it together. read more

The drive thru is EXTREMELY slow even when there are only one or two cars in line. I have been to several panda drive thrus and this is the worst. They have their own drive through section for food inside so I just don't understand why it takes 20-30 minutes to get food every time--especially seeing as when I drive around after finally getting my food and the inside is relatively calm! The food is sometimes really yummy and fresh... and other times not so much and the inside is beautiful... but they seriously need to work on their drive thru times.
