I decided to take advantage of the $20 family meal deal. This is normally about $35 so it is quite a bit of savings. I really like Panda Express in terms of fast food restaurants. I placed my order via the app and ended up showing up about 15 minutes before I told them I would be there. The line at drive-thru was super, super long. I saw a couple of customers standing by the door so I figured I would stop and see if I could get my food that way. The lady took my name and told me she would be right back. She was running back and forth with other customers and then sort of disappeared. 10 minutes later, I asked the gentleman about my order and told him my name. He said he remembered seeing my name LOL well, he never came back. Anyway, finally my order was ready right on time, the time I told them I would be there. We ordered the Angus steak, which I forgot to photograph. We also had orange chicken and mushroom chicken, which is my favorite.It tastes incredible! I love the sauce and the mushrooms are really high quality. I love mushrooms and can always tell if they are low quality. Anyway, the fried rice had no taste to it. That was disappointing. We came here after not being served at the Hollywood location (they got a 1-star review). If it weren't for my craving for this food, we would have gone somewhere else. This location was like heaven compared to Hollywood. They are open when they say they are open, and even though it was late, they made more food for us when one of the options had run low. We had to wait for it, but we were willing. Well, actually my friend was willing. They had what I wanted. We tried several items, including the orange chicken (of course) and everything was delicious. My friend had rice while I opted for chow mein. He had something I had not heard of before (and I can't recall now what it was) but he loved it. I had beef and broccoli and orange chicken and all was excellent. Chinese Fast Food. We were in the area and stopped by for a quick lunch. They had my 2 usuals ready; Orange chicken, Chicken and green beans. Service: quick, polite and efficient. We were served with no concerns. Diningroom: At first, we sat at a table and noticed the floor was full of rice. We moved to a hightop instead. About 4 customers sitting at that time and 5 servers behind the counter. It was about 2 pm. Not enough attention to the diningroom. That's why most of the time, I opt to eat in my car! Food: Servings were good. Trays were filled. I was asked if I wanted a sample when I stepped up to the counter. However, my Chicken and green beans were not very tasty. I had to add soy sauce to that and the rice. They were both bland. Eggroll was mushy inside. Maybe I don't usually eat this, but eggrolls should be crunchy inside. It looked like stuff was mixed in a processor and rolled up. I always check my receipt because I've noticed that not all Panda cashiers know their jobs well. This one was fine. This location's opening time is 10:30a. From previous experiences, I know most of the food is not ready till 11:00a, so I placed an online order to be picked up at 11:15a. I get there at 11:15a and there are only 4 entrees on the steam table that are ready. The entrees I ordered were not ready yet. The person behind the counter said it would be another 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I said, don't you open at 10:30a? She replied, well, we have to cook the entrees. I like the beijing beef. However, the food was not hot the vegetables were near raw instead of steamed and the the meat in the grilled teriyaki tasted funny. Service was quick and friendly. For a 2 entree plate of mixed vegetable and the two meats it was $6.39 and then a fountain soda for $1.79 with total including tax of $8.68. Today I went and again I had to wait out front for my food to be made, the guy said it would be 5 minutes, I asked if I could get an egg roll for having to wait and the guy said that becuase it was only 5 minutes he couldn't do that.... Well it was 9 minutes that I ended up waiting and my food wasn't even fresh. The rice was disgusting and I couldn't eat it. I don't understand why the food wasn't fresh if I had to wait. For the past few visits, this Panda Express location has made me wait more than 30 minutes for my food to be available. I usually get the following: - Half Fried Rice / Half Vegetables - Beijing Beef - Orange Chicken But it's either the Beijing Beef or vegetables that are not readily available. I was informed to wait 5 to 10 minutes until those items become available. And so I do wait patiently. While I wait, the cashier suggests for me to pay now and wait for my food later. Sounds like a plan, so I follow suit. From my last visit, the vegetables came out after 15 minutes of waiting, but then I just see my plate sitting on the side of the counter for another 10 minutes. No one remembered my plate? Since it was loud inside, I had to raise my voice to one of the ladies to get her attention that I am waiting for the vegetables. I finally received the vegetables, but now I am waiting for my Beijing Beef. At this point, I have already waited for about 30 minutes. Oh, I'm still in line, in front of the workers, so they know I am there waiting. And what a surprise - the Beijing Beef comes out but my plate is again left on the side of the counter with no worker not even trying to investigate whose food is that. I see multiple workers literally preparing other plates by hovering over my plate. My plate sits there for another 5 minutes. I'm about to sound like a broken record by raising my voice to get someone's attention to provide me my food...again. You might say that they were busy, which they were, but there were so many workers that day, just pacing back and forth. The workers did show a fair attitude when it came to delivering proper customer service. But I guess had to be a proactive customer just to get my food here. The Ice Tea could be better. The other Panda Express location nearby was in Flamingo Road and Miramar Parkway, but this one has a drive-thru.
