The family meal for $39 comes with 3 lg entrees, 2 lg sides. If you cook your own rice at home, you can make this last a few meals for two people. This place is pretty busy during the dinner rush. If you order online, you wait until you get notification that your food is ready for pickup. There's a sign for online pickup, but that area in front of the two cashiers is pretty chaotic, because the people in line who ordered their plates pay here. So it's a bit of a cluster. The parking is shared with safeway across the way. During dinner rush hours, finding parking is not so easy. If you want a bag, it's $0.22, apparently. We like the food, plenty of options to choose from, it's yummy. Good for convenience. Not the cheapest meal, but better than conventional fast food. And don't expect stellar customer service, it's get in and get out. This location has some small tables that can fit 3-4 people. Staff was very friendly. One of my entrees was the steamed fish and she asked if I wanted what was in the pot or wanted to wait for the fresh one. I asked how long it would take and she said 7 minutes. So I waited. After paying, the staff asked gave me a cup and offered me to get a drink while I wait. That was very thoughtful. I don't remember exactly how long I waited for the fish, but when I got home to eat it, the fish was still very hot and delicious. Just picked up an online Family pack order and it was the BEST ever!! It was so good I called the Manager! Not only was our food hot it was very flavorful. Meh. I've only been to this Panda Express location once and it's alright. We came around 10:30AM Friday morning, they usually open at 10AM. There was no chow- fun, only chowmein. We had to settle for fried rice and chowmein. Their chowmein was really good. But their friedrice was pretty bland. (Pretty disappointing) for my entrees, I chose honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. Their honey walnut shrimp is my favorite go-to dish. Not sure why but for this location... their orange chhicken was decent. Not really flavorful (like how it is normally) and the chicken was really skimpy. Not what we're used to lol. Workers were very attentive and very nice. They tried their best to accommodate us even though some of the things we wanted to order, was going to take a 7-10min wait. We were hungry so we just settled for some other dishes. I remember when Panda Express used to load their plates, for a $10 plate- I feel pretty ripped off. At the end, when it was time to open our fortune cookies. My husband had an empty cookie LOL. That explains everything. It's probably gonna be a hot minute til we give this location another try. Horrible! Ordered online, and when we went to pick up our food, the orange chicken was missing! How can you pack food and NOT realize food is missing from the plate? Just OK. HIGHLIGHTS: - one of the rare Pandas that actually use eggs in their fried rice. - clean - nice amount of walnuts in the Walnut Shrimp. LOWLIGHTS: - the starches are not all grouped together, so I didn't know the Chow Fun noodles were around the corner. - the Chow Fun is super duper greasy. I was burping up grease. Gross. Maybe it would have been better if I had *not* seen it. - stingy portions in some containers and generous in some others; and we are not talking premium items. How the heck do some others in line get overflowing plates of chicken and beef and I got half a scoop of Tofu Eggplant? Could it be that expensive? - dried up tofu in the eggplant tofu. Stingy portions. - no utensils included in our take out. We ate in, so it didn't matter anyway, but if I were eating elsewhere with no utensils, I'd be P.O.'d. - average to ho-hum value for the money at this location. My favorite Panda Express is at Pearlridge Shopping Center and Waipio. My least favorite Panda is at Mililani Town Center. This one is in the middle. When I arrived, there were 2 people in line in front of me. A few people were already sitting, so I'm guessing that they were waiting for their orders. When it was my time to order, the lady started to help me, BUT someone from behind her came and sat like 10 plates next to her and started scooping all the fried rice/noodles/whatever to start off her order. I'm guessing it was an online or phone order. Anyways, she was taking up all the space in the beginning so the lady helping me added the two choices to ONE of my plates, and left my 2nd plate alone. Once the beginning of the line had an opening, she added the fried rice and super greens to my first plate, and then added the same to my 2nd plate. By the time she got to my 2nd plate, they were out of angus steak for my 2nd plate and I had to wait for the kitchen to bring out more. What I thought was funny is that there was still steak in that tray when she started adding the choices to my first plate. Maybe it was the stress of having another worker in her area filling up her 10 plates, but I just thought this was unorganized. I could've been out of there 10 minutes sooner if she filled my 2nd plate the way she did my first plate. On the plus side I got fresh angus steak on one of my plates. My two cents - I think that they should create a different area, or some kind of process where these big orders don't interfere with customers that are already present. As for the food. It was okay. Of course I would rather get fried rice from a chinese restaurant, but this place is convenient. The super greens are actually really good considering you're only eating broccoli lol. I would get the angus steak again. Honey walnut shrimp was good, not too sweet or soggy, but perfect and good amount of walnuts. I ordered a bigger plate three entrées and one Main and what I got, from what you see in the photo, is two entrées and 3/4 of a main.... at 6 o'clock they ran out of Chow Fun. I should have checked before leaving. I settled for Chow mein... not my preference. Then I hear Gen, the shift manager, speaking to my original hostess and laughing because I questioned why they ran out of Chow Fun so early. Completely unprofessional. Panda Express translates to Yummy. Wait that's Korean, let's just talk Chinese. There are numerous locations but my spot is the Ewa Beach branch in the Safeway center. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. I feel like I know them personally with all the times I've been there. Not really, I just read their name tag. And it puts a smile on their face. Anyway food if always fresh and the servers periodically tell the cooks what going fast and to make more. There have been times when I've waited but not very long. Once in a blue moon they do have Japanese cheesecake for sale. This is the only dessert they sell. When available, I do get the cheesecake. TIP: they will give you a sample of everything on the menu. Including the cheesecake. So taste before you put you're money down. I have also used them for catering twice and have not been disappointed. TIP: do their survey for a free entry. Its only like a $1.50 savings but that's an egg roll man. As I said, the food is fresh and there is a good variety. Seating is plentiful along with parking except on Fridays which can be challenging. It's $5 Fridays at Safeway so everyone is grocery shopping after work and when finished shopping it's too late to cook so it's time for (not Zippy's) but Panda Express. So why not five stars? Came for another visit and sadly was not impressed. The visit before this was a lot better so I thought I'd give it another visit. I asked for a fresh batch of chow mein and I got the driest noodles ever on top of the the cook was scratching his head with his bare hands throughout the process and grabbed some cabbage out of the wok with his hands he was just scratch himself with. #4 of 2017 With my fiance out of town, and just the mini munchkin and I at home to fend for ourselves, we decided that our best option was Panda. Lost of choices, fresh food, and a decent price. Actually, this was my five year old's choice, but I went with it. The bowls give you the choice of a starch and one entree in a poke bowl size container. I always go for the steamed veggies as my "starch" to save on calories and up the nutritional value on my "fast food" meal. I was kind of bummed because their veggie that day looked super soggy. I asked the girl if they were making any more, and she was happy to do so! I was so impressed with their willingness to help. Service was super friendly and quick, and we enjoyed our dinner. The next night we went back and a different girl was working. I heard someone else ask for something that was almost out and her response was "you wait 10 minutes?" abruptly. Not the reply that I got the night prior, so I was surprised! I got the bowl again with veggies and mushroom chicken. The girl loaded on the entree and my bowl was filled to the brim. I asked about egg rolls since I didn't see anything, and I got the same response "YOU WAIT 10 MINUTES?" uhhh no thanks. We decided to take out this time and when I got home I was shocked to see that my steamed vegetables were swimming in sauce from my mushroom chicken. Like literally in a bowl full of gravy. Gross!
