I came here when they first opened in Kapolei and I've been loving it ever since. I love Earl's Mushroom Swiss. A mushroom and Swiss burger is in my top three of burgers and the one at Earl's is one of the reason's why. It's messy, but oh so flavorful. The paper bag that they serve it in is much appreciated else I'd be wearing half of it in my slobbering hunger to stuff it in my face. Okay I've come here twice and both times I've ordered the garlic chicken which is so yummy definitely fresh and I love the garlic aioli they use, and the crispiness of the chicken is perfect. My boyfriend got the earls cheesesteak no complaints from him. My only complaint is the fries. I do not play about my fries they're my favorite food, but I am continuously disappointed with theirs. The first time we came I let the staff know the fries were cold they gave me another batch still cold, I didn't want to bother them anymore so I left but was sad because the sauces they put on top of the bacon fries were yummy. I don't visit Kapolei as often anymore but EARL in Kapolei is the only store that offers Gelati - Italian Ice with frozen custard soft serve. I had a coupon from their loyalty rewards program and redeemed it when I ordered takeaway via Square. EARL's new proprietary app is up and running but I haven't downloaded it; the previous app was good. Their weekend special to end the month of May 2026 caught my eye. Infinity Burger, which is a smash burger with sauce and Cooper Sharp cheese. Fantastic...made it a double. The Gelati was also excellent. I paired it with Blue Raspberry Italian Ice - excellent. Service was excellent. I could not order the Gelati online...probably because it is only available in Kapolei and not their other two locations in town. My best friend and I visited Earl for the first time together to try their famous gelati. They advertise themselves as serving the only gelati on the island, so we had to see what the hype was about! I chose the mango flavor, while Andrea went with blue raspberry. Both were equally refreshing, flavorful, and comforting on a warm Hawai'i day! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. We also tried the waffle fries, which were perfectly crispy and delicious. Next time, I'd love to come back and try some of their chips and sandwiches. Other than it being a little pricier, I loved it! The bread still staying crisp on my commute to work. They inside is pretty big with lots of seating inside and outside. We walked in and there was no line. I had questions about the menu and the women at the register was very helpful and patient while I ordered. I ordered the earl burger woth one patty combo so it came with waffle fries and a drink. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready, and it was nice and fresh. The burger was seasoned nicely, the pickles were not over powering. The grilled onions added such a nice touch and the lettuce and tomatoes were perfectly crisp. The waffle fries were good too! Nice and hot and plenty of them! Sometime I feel like there is never enough fries when I order waffle fries but I didn't feel that way here! I did order a side of ranch to dip my fries in and the ranch was okay, not bad, not the best. And the fountain drink is got was on the money! Perfectly carbonated, not too sweet. Just a perfect meal! I got the cheesesteak sandwich which is my go-to at other sandwich shops and Earls is far better tasting and quality! There are a bunch of different selections of burgers, sandwiches & even chicken tenders which were my kids favorite. The tenders are huge so a 2 piece would be good for 1 person! EARL twice in one week? Yeah, it's that good. Located in Ka Makana Ali'i - I've been to the Kakaako location a few times which can get pretty busy but this location is usually pretty chill. Plus there's tons of free parking in the mall- I usually have to get dropped off to pick up our sandwiches at EARL in Kakaako since parking is all paid over there. Another super convenient thing is that you can order online and pick it up pretty quickly. They send text updates when they have received and when your order is ready. I gotta say it, the turkey club here is my favorite turkey sandwich! I love the pesto and the crunchiness of the bread. If your an avocado fan, be sure to add avo to your sandwich- so good! If I'm not getting the turkey club, any of the fried chicken sandwiches- you can't go wrong. Not necessarily a bad thing but these sandwiches can get a bit messy. I remember sampling EARL's foods at a Yelp event in the 2000-teens & liking it. It wasn't until we tried out the Hot Honey Old Bay Chicken Sandwich that they really caught my attention. In addition to going back for the Hot Honey Old Bay, I have enjoyed the Caesar Salad sandwich, and also chicken tenders with fries, as well as some of their grinder offerings. SO good. On our last trip to EARL, hubby got a fish sandwich (a weekend special) that was AMAZING! The fish was battered with a light and perfectly crispy coating, and I found myself wishing they made a fish & chips version. Hubby talked about that sandwich for months!! We also tried their breakfast sandwich items right before they took them off the menu. They were hearty and tasty, but alas, are no longer available. Note: if your order comes with sauce, be sure to try them. What we thought was basic ketchup for our fries turned out to be some kind of fragrant, fruity tasting ketchup, (maybe with apricot flavor) that was really good! The other sauces such as the EARL sauce are also not to be missed. I think they make them in house. Since the EARL orders are made upon order, it does take around 10 minutes to get your food, but it is definitely worth the wait. You can stay and peruse all of the unique chips that they have, and read the EARL story that's on the wall while you wait. Sometimes I set a timer and go walk around or run to another store. My food has always been ready when I come back in 10 minutes. The store is very clean, and a nice place to eat in, if desired. There have always been tables available when I've gone in. This was my second time dining at Earl, and I'm still blown away. My first visit left a lasting impression the food was incredible, and the customer service was outstanding. Ivorie greeted us, took our order, and offered recommendations that we happily followed. Everything arrived piping hot and fresh. On my second visit, we were blessed enough to have Ivorie again. Avoid this spot - try the other locations. Man I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately upon walking in only 2 of the 6 tables were clean and two of the sandwiches I had wanted to pick up were actually specials and not offered regularly. Ok, understandable. Ordered two other sandwiches and a gelati. When the food came out, the gelati was overflowing the cup and one of the two sandwiches was stuffed so full the toppings wrapped around the bread, soaking it and making it more of a salad than anything else. For almost $60 this was a real bummer of an experience. I'm no stranger to East Coast style subs and kind of the seedy corners the best ones usually occupy but this spot is just not it. I was really excited to try it because it looked so good on the socials! It came out steaming hot but unfortunately, I found it underwhelming. The batter was crispy on the outside and the fish had a rubbery texture with not a lot of flavor. The sauce in it was good but it wasn't evenly spread as it started leaking out one side of the sandwich leaving the other half pretty dry and unflavored. It seems like the cheese they use may be cheese product as well? I'm glad I finally tried it but I probably won't be getting it again. My husband ordered their Country Style Chicken Sandwich, but unfortunately, he said it wasn't as good as he remembered. It lacked flavor and could've used extra sauce to bring it to life. He wasn't exactly disappointed, just not as impressed as he was hoping to be. The restaurant is a cute sit down place. I love that they have the history of the store and they have local art in there. I remembered that they didn't have high chairs last time so we brought our own. I'm so glad we did. Earl Kapolei continues to provide excellent customer service! An employee was kind enough to clean the sticky Italian ice residue off our table. My boyfriend and I HAD to get the French dip. It tastes different from how we remember it, and I think it's due to a change in bread. The sandwich is still delicious nonetheless, thanks to the amazing au jus! We shared a cherry gelati, which is now served in a smaller cup. At first, I was disappointed--but the more I think about it, the more the new size makes sense. I would have to freeze half of my gelati with the original size because it was a quite a large portion. Overall, great good, good service and nice location. Finally went to Earls after hearing all the hype these past years. Glad they have one in Kapolei now in the Kamakana Alii shopping mall right outside the food court. Couldn't make up our mind as to what to get and so the counter help did just that, helped with our decisions. I got the classic cheesesteak sandwich because the other cheesesteak options had sweet peppers in them. My sister was trying to decide between the mushroom and the Teri burger. The counter help recommended the mushroom burger. We also got the bacon fries. My sisters mushroom burger was messy but she was happy with it. I enjoyed my cheesesteak. Some iffnit fell out and I tried it with the bacon cheese fries and recommend they also have a cheesesteak fries. And they have tux. My favorite are the kettle chips which they didn't have today. So i got the chips with ridges. We also got the large Italian ice with frozen custard. Had to bring it home because it was a lot. A small Italian ice would do. I also tried the frozen custard with the fries. Loved it. Restaurant is basic. Classic-style fast food bench tables. Nothing impressive except for the food.
