I was hungry so I wanted to try Panda Express. It's ok. To be honest it's not the kind of Chinese food you get from a Mom Pop Chinese restaurant. I ordered Broccoli Beef and Chow Mein Noodles and it was a bowl. I also added one egg roll. I already lowered my expectations before ordering. BROCCOLI BEEF It was not salty enough. I mean it didn't have that deep umami flavor that I'm used to. Pretty bland. I normally don't look for soy sauce when I eat at a real Chinese restaurant but this bland dish needed it. CHOW MEIN NOODLES I guess they cook the noodles super soft. To me I think noodles shouldn't be an overcooked. Too soft for my taste. I used the app to order my food since I was at work and worked 12 hours. I wanted to grab my food and go home. I ordered it an hour early for a later pick up tone. I arrive and of course it's not ready and had to wait 15 minutes. On my food order I asked for my rice to be in a separate container and as I'm watching the employee make my food of course he starts to put it all in the same container so I had to shout across the restaurant for him to read the ticket and make it separate. The rice was cold and unflavored the whole reason I get fried rice and pick out the peas is because it has better flavor than the regular rice. I again told her that was wrong to do because people can get sick (why should I have to explain this). She stopped but put the chemicals right next to my food! To top it off she didn't wash her hands but immediately started making food for the person in the drive through. The cashier tried to give me a quick apology but I really don't think she cared. Worst Panda Express location I've ever experienced. When I came in I was ignored by two employees who didn't want to welcome or assist me. The place was not busy, I waited 5 minutes at the counter before someone came to take my order. When I asked for sweet and sour sauce the drive thru worker came and took it out of the hands of the employee that was getting it for me and put it with their drive thru order. I've never seen such terrible customer service other than at a Burger King. The fountain drinks never taste like an actual drink. You either get soda water, or just syrup. The food had no taste at all. The bathrooms were dirty. I would recommend not going to this location and avoiding a bad experience. There's a few other decent places nearby to go to. Following up on this review. Haven't been here since my last review (7 months ago) and the place has gone down hill. Ridiculous long wait when it's not busy. A receipt paper in the broccoli beef, tasteless soggy food, and bad service. My family had to wait for the orange chicken to finish cooking. 10 minutes later they had fresh orange chicken but cold rice which was undercooked, and their other entree was cold too. I've been to quite a few other locations which were great, especially the Round Rock one but this one is an absolute disgrace. I've given it a chance many times, at all different points - months apart, lunchtime, dinner time and of course off hours which I always aim for. It's always the same deal no matter what; the wait is absolutely forever for no reason (why is that the case on off hours with no other cars in line?), no apology, and no manners whatsoever. No "please", "thank you", nothing. These people need to get a lesson from Chick Fil A employees. They seem to have a serious attitude problem and the one cashier I've gotten now that I've gone twice in the same week is definitely high. Every single time I've gone they have loaded up what I ordered with rice or noodles, putting as little meat/chicken that I ask for that they can get away with. It's laughable. Can't say the same for Round Rock or other locations. If I didn't have a baby that I'd have to take in and out of the car I would just go in to avoid this. After a long day, we placed an online order. It said it woupd be delivered in an hour...which is absurd. An hour plus later and a phone call, the driver just picked up our order. The eta then swapped back and forth 20 min. An hour and a half later we get notified it's been delivered when there's no vehicle or person to be seen anywhere near my house. My boyfriend and I were craving Panda since we always had a good experience when it came to their food. This location was definitely below the standards we're used to. I ordered two plates (1 side and 2 entrees) through the drive thru. My boyfriend's plate was okay but mine was definitely jipped. I ordered half rice and half lo mein with Mushroom chicken and Angus Beef Steak as my entrees. What pissed me off was that upon opening my box, my food was practically thrown in the damn box. Then to make matters worse, the servings for both of our meals were really small for what we paid, which was very disappointing. I understand it was busy around the time we came but the employees should be more concerned with quality rather than quantity. At least take the time to make the sure the presentation of the food is decent and that customers are given fair portions. I'm a firm believer of "You get what you pay for" and for $23.71 for two plates, I think we deserved a decent presentation and servings of food. I literally had only 4 pieces of steak and 4 pieces of chicken and the rest of the already small servings were vegetables. Every time I've gone to Panda Express, I'm used to my plates being so full that I'd have enough for leftovers, but not at this location, I was still hungry after eating my plate. I utilized a delivery service to place an order with this restaurant. I specifically requested that everything be made fresh, and that the shrimp be fried extra-crispy. Thankfully, I was able to communicate with the driver, because when she got there to pick up my order, they were going to take food off the service counter out front rather than cook my order fresh for delivery. No way in hell am I going to eat food that has been sitting there a while and then still has to be driven 4.6 miles to my home for delivery. When it's ordered for takeout, you make it fresh! The only reason I gave this place one star is because I had to be able to do so in order to make this comment. I am a big Yelper, and they screwed up royally here. And it was a $45 order. Epic. FAIL! This review does not reflect on the food, but instead reflects on the service: My family ordered pizza to their house the same time we entered the drive through. They were able to get their pizza and start eating it before we ever left the drive through. We waited over 20 min with no explanation from the staff about why it was taking so long, and there was no apology or consolation for it when we reached the window either.
