Popular spot... This Hawaii Kai Towne Center location is quite popular even though I came pretty late like 7ish I was quite surprised of how busy they can get as the service starts right at their front door so when the line gets long you can see folks standing outside of the door and no they're not waiting outside for someone but the actual line. Ordering is so easy it's a matter of choices and they do have lots of that from a simple bowl or a full plate starting with your rice or noodles or half/half of both what's nice is that you make it your very own and as I selected one after another orange chicken, beef broccoli and string beans chicken breast...did you count three entrees...not me and was wondering what was in this tiny little box on top of my plate lol I guess I was hungry which is a good thing I did so as I found out that mom didn't eat so it was the perfect plate to share. They do have an app which is very easy to use and if you forget you can still upload your points using the receipt which is nice and handy as I rarely do visit Pandas but already have enough points for a free appetizer. Online order is quick and easy if you want to expedite your order as it lists the calories and prices clearly. Always love the fortune cookie that comes with your order as well as this quick grab is very nice and fast along with friendly staff love the vibe here along with a nice and spacious dining area and free parking is why many do come here for various reasons. Thank you!

Used to love ordering food here but it's gone down in value and cooking. Sometimes it's overly dry and today was undercooked and over spiced. I asked for new order but manager said that's how they make it. I'm not sure what is going on but will not come back anymore.

Panda.. what is this? You are ok with serving this to your customers? For reference, this is what string bean chicken is supposed to look like....

This pandas gets pretty busy at dinner time. I'm writing this review on my last experience here. I went with my mom and she had a coupon through the app so we just tried to confirm with them that it would be valid. The employee asked another lady who I guess was maybe the manager or supervisor and she had that she would help us once she was done with what she was doing. Then she proceeded to pull us out of the line to ask us more about the coupon and then told us ok. I don't know what the reason was for pulling us out of the line as no other customers needed up passing us and we had already ordered the starches for the plates. The portions for everything seems to be getting smaller and smaller every time I go.

I will never eat here again. I ate here this past Saturday. I suffered a severe case of food poisoning. I was down for 5 days. I was dehydrated fainted in my bathroom hit my head, sprained my foot and ended up in the emergency room. This is unacceptable!

Pops gotta have his Panda Express grub! Notice da bonus container? I filled out da survey to get an extra entrée. DEALAGES Yo!

Whenever I do my shopping at Costco Hawaii Kai, I sometimes stop by this Panda Express for some Chinese fast food grub since it's in the same shopping complex. Is da grub for me? Nope! But for some strange reason, my pops really digs Panda, so several times a week I would buy him a plate to satisfy his Chinese fast food craving. Da two things I like about Panda's - 1. The Chinese fast food selection is made fresh, and there is a pretty good food selection. 2. I no need cook for my dad, and he is very happy whenever I bring him home a Panda plate! Lol! For you folks who are not Panda pro's like me, let Bruddah Fran give you da scoops and strategy about going to Panda's......... Rule numba #1 - Save da receipt & go online and take da survey. Why do I tell you folks this? Cuz if you do da survey, Panda's will send you a code to your email address for a free entrée! Can we say DEALAGES Yo???? Rule numba #2 - Skip da starch (I'm talkin' about rice, noodles, & chow fun) because what local family doesn't have rice or noodles at home? Just get da Super Greens so that way you get more vegetables, you can always get your starch from home. Rule numba #tree (3) - Again, if you did da survey like Bruddah Fran told you to do...........when you buy your plate, you buy da 2 entrée plate, but wait! Since you filled out da survey, you can get one free bonus entrée, therefore it's like getting a tree (3) choice plate, but you payin' for a 2 choice plate! DEALAGES Yo!!! Das da 'ol Hawaiian Trick! Buwahahahahahaha! You'll thank me for it later when you go to Panda's! Buwahahahahahaha! Anyways, although I'm not a Panda eater, the food here makes my pops happy, and that's all I care about. :D

Got great service here on a Saturday evening at 8pm. This place accommodates their patrons by quickly cooking requested menu items and adding more to your plate. They really treat you like a valued customer unlike other Pandas. Plenty of parking, this place is right next to the Ross Dress for Less. Also noticed that the kitchen and dining area were spotless, which is another plus. I'll definitely be visiting this location when I'm visiting my parents in this part of town.

I definitely love eating Panda express. We happened to be in the neighborhood and hubby got us all kids meals..I got half and half. I got fried rice and thick chow fun noodles. My main course was mushroom chicken which is my favorite dish here. This was delicious. Ordering was quick and easy. There's a Coke fountain drink station. I'm a major coke fan mostly diet coke or coke zero but I saw mango fruit black tea which was delicious and wasn't too sweet. Plenty of tables inside to sit and a single restroom in the back.. Parking is up front. I definitely would come back here if in the area..

    Plate missing orange chicken

We ordered using the Panda Express app and have never had any issues with our orders. This is the first time we had an error with our order. Ordered a plate with orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp but we did not get orange chicken despite the ticket on the plate shows that we ordered orange chicken. Unfortunately did not see this until we got home.

If you don't know where to eat, just grab something at PE! Big deal, no time to be choosy, what's important is that you gotta take away the feeling of being hungry/hangry. You gotta feed your tummy! Ordered a plate. Broccoli, chicken w/ green beans that swam in oil, & chicken.... simplest lunch before doing our Costco grocery. T'was pretty good. Love how they cook the broccoli though. It's flavorful & ain't salty. The garlicky flavor compliments well. The chicken dish is mediocre on the other hand. But good enough to fill in my tummy. Though the green beans is too greasy for me, it's still flavorful. They cooked the beans a lil bit too much but still it's okay for me. Not a bad lunch for that chilly afternoon. Next time I'll make sure to come in Costco after lunch so that I won't be having indecisive mind on where to eat. There ain't a lot of choices for dining in Hawaii Kai Towne Center so I'd be better off eating at home next time. Customer service is just okay. Pretty straightforward & no time for de-le-da-ling. I get it. And at that time, I don't care either. LoL. I just need to have my plate coz GERD starts acting already! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yelpers!

I was looking for dinner nearby that would be quick to order and fast to eat, so this checked all the boxes. I had read a previous review that recommended to call in your order, as they make the chicken wings fresh and it'll take approx 15 min. I dialed their number several times, but the phone just rang and there wasn't a voicemail. I found that odd, but decided to go down there anyway since it's nearby. They're located in the Safeway shopping center next to Repetti's Pizza and Tropics. There are several tables located inside, and the place is clean and spacious. When I walked in, I asked the person at the counter if they take phone orders, which he said yes. I told him I tried calling several times, and when he checked his phone, he realized that it wasn't working. The cook in the back laughed and said maybe that's why they weren't very busy. Despite the hiccup, both employees were very friendly. I ordered the Bone-In (4 pieces) Chicken Plate, which comes with 2 scoops of rice, corn, 2 pieces of mini mandoo and your choice of sauce. I selected the Crispy Snow (cheese and onion powder). It took approx 15 min before my order was ready, so the previous reviewer was right! The chicken pieces were larger than I had remembered. They were cripsy and flavorful. I was very happy that I chose the Crispy Snow sauce! The corn was cold, which I thought was odd. I'm used to eating warm corn, not cold. The mandoo was just average. I realize they are known for their chicken, so next time I'll probably just order the chicken and not the full plate. I will definitely return again to try some of their other sauces!

However, I would have to give them a 4.5 today because while we ordered the crispy soy wings, the amount of sauce on the wings were so minimal, you actually can't taste as much of the soy. Usually your fingers would be extra saucy almost like eating a bag of cheetos - finger licking good, but not today. I will say that the positive points were that we were able to call and order on the way there and by the time we got there, we paid and waited no more than a couple minutes for the wings to come out. Still crispy and enjoyable, just missing a bit of flavor. Fortunately for them, today is the day we intended to use Korean fried chicken in our last dab challenge so we have flavor AND spicy to go with crispy, juicy wings. The space looked pretty clean and almost freshly renovated, though, that's probably not the case. Indoor seating is available and the new menu is posted below. We'll be back again. Albeit, probably not as soon as we would like.

The sandwiches are good and the ingredients taste fresh, but I was surprised by the price. At around $16 per sandwich, I expected something a little more substantial. The sandwiches have a lot of toppings and presentation, but they also have quite a bit of "fluff," and the bread is sliced very thin, making the overall sandwich feel smaller than expected. The side options are limited to either a salad or potato chips. I chose the chips, and I have to admit they were really good. Overall, the food tastes good, but I don't think it matches the price point. For what you get, I'd say these sandwiches feel more like a $10 value than a $16 one. I'd come back if I was craving one, but I'd love to see either larger portions or a lower price to better reflect the value.

But Mala Market can do a good job with their Dave's Killer Bread. The sliced meat sandwiches are the best here. I personally stick with roast beef. Everything is layered tight with cheese, lettuce, sliced tomato and cucumber, chopped purple cabbage, julienned carrot, and grassy sprouts. The 21 grain bread and all the veggies are great complex carbs that will leave you satisfied for a long time. Sandwiches come with Kettle ruffled potato chips, or a salad with good dressing - a pink goddess or green cilantro. The wrap is proper for holding on to your sandwich and the take out box is good for traveling. I am less sold on tuna, chicken, or shrimp salad. I know the shrimp salad liquid will seep into your sandwich bread and quickly make it soggy - and I find soggy bread ruins a sandwich for me. For add on options there is double meat, or avocado mash. Skip adding the avocado. And don't pay extra for the pickle. The ladies are very quick at putting together the sandwiches and not waiting long is a plus. If you want to eat it outside there are decent tables, plus additional shaded seating near the marina. The sandwiches at Mala Market are not my favorite. But they are freshly prepared, well constructed, and a good balance of protein and complex carbs. A solid choice in the area if you want to take something to the beach.

(Tookout 04/22/26 WE @ 7:00pm): No raised fingers given at this chicken coop!…read more In my quest to continue exploring the various cuisine scenes as well as other businesses throughout O'ahu's Windward side, specifically the neighborhood of Hawaii Kai (southeast shore of the island), I ventured into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers as my first time to ever try their food after I've seen them all over the place on the Mainland. I was always down for a juicy succulent piece of fried chicken however it was fed to me. It wasn't the healthiest way to eat chicken, but things fried just tasted better, correct!? Founded in 1996 on the campus of LSU by Todd Graves and named after a friend's Labrador Retriever (Raising Cane), his arduous dream that began in college has since grown into one of the fastest grown restaurant brands in the U.S. Would I raise a thumb's up instead of a middle finger to their tender chicken!? PURCHASE(S) 3pc Chicken Fingers Sandwich ($8.79): This messy two-hander was slipping and sliding all over the place as I tried to keep it together (I failed). Three crispy crunchy thick pieces of chicken between a pillowy soft sweet bun with a smear of Cane sauce and a hint of lettuce, this was a lovely introduction to this brand's food, and I now understood the hype that surrounded it. Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. My only wish was that it was spicy and came with pickle chips, but it was still ono! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=sod8F8j7AIUDoK3mQptIUw The Box Combo - 4pc Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Cane Sauce, 22floz Drink ($12.79): Because of my sandwich, I was able to split this meal into two! Loaded with a little bit of everything, the chicken was just as yummy as my sandwich, there were plenty of spud sticks with a light dusting of seasoning, the toast was a revelation all on its own and would easily order a few more as a snack, the coleslaw lacked flavor (I put some on my sandwich instead), the Cane sauce add a touch of zing but wished it was spicy, and the sweet tea was like I was transported to the South it was so damn good and probably loaded with a ton of sugar. A heck of a meal at a deal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=f5GUo39r6DcCdVAVoN-ArA SERVICE I was greeted by a young woman at the front counter where I immediately placed my order, received my cup to fill with my fountain drink of choice, and within five minutes my name was called as we caught each other's eyes while I waited nearby. Everything was good - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots although I decided to do the 25-minute one-way walk for exercise - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A standard quick-service restaurant layout with a central order counter, a fountain drink machine off to the side, plenty of dining spots in a spacious room, and minimal decorations with some interesting elements such as these ceiling disco balls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=Ruk3zzf-dWb0pTPXWIWt6Q (I didn't know if they actually worked). Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and surrounding windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed the food at Hawaii Kai's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location as my first experience with this brand. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. Sure, they were a fast-food chain restaurant, but they started as a local small mom & pop business at one time. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $23.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Thought I had lost my gift balance and had completely forgotten what their specialty dishes are, as they have been relatively quiet in the community. Teddy's Bigger Burgers was founded in 1998 in Honolulu by two friends, Ted Tsakiris and Rich Stula. It is known for its 100% ground chuck charbroiled burgers, secret "Super Sauce," and hand-scooped milk shakes. They offer high-quality made-to-order diner-style burgers. Specifically, the burgers include: * 100% premium fresh chilled ground chuck, hand-portioned daily and seasoned with a secret 7-spice blend. * Char-broiled cooking. Patties are cooked to order on an open-flame charcoal grill to lock in juiciness. * Signature "super sauce." It's yellow, but without any mustard and is actually an aioli that is sweet, tangy, and savory. * Customization. All sandwiches come with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions, but there are options to customize with a variety of toppings, including bacon, blue cheese, jalapenos, onion rings, and pastrami; local geographical names are given to the burgers based on the toppings. There are also 3 sizes of patties: big (5 oz), bigger (7 oz), and biggest (double). * Golden potato buns that are soft and delicate in texture, with a slightly sweet note that brings out the savory, smoky, flavor of the burger. * Sides. Chicken tenders, salad, specialty fries, onion rings, thick milk shakes made with local Hawaii-made ice cream. With my gift card's remaining balance, I opted to order a teri burger. I had forgotten how fresh these burgers are! Yes, the burger was indeed fresh chilled ground chuck with crisp lettuce, cucumbers and sliced onions. The burger was rather large and had the perfect potato bun! Definitely not your normal McD! A very nice patty; however, the teri sauce was on the milder side and not the real teri sauce that locals are used to. Geared to tourists, the teri sauce will be more than satisfactory. Great customer service was the basis for the two founders who loved good burgers and set out to create a restaurant that served the best quality burger. Hours of operation are daily 10a to 9p. Located in the Koko Marina Shopping Center, free parking is available that is shared with other businesses in the complex. The restaurant interior is clean spacious with indoor and outdoor dining available; the interior décor has a nice ambiance of a surfing theme of the 1980's with wall photos. Note that that there are 12 locations in Hawaii, with 11 on Oahu, and one on Maui. Teddy's Bigger Burgers is a fine burger establishment that its owners take great pride in offering burgers that they have spent much time in making it their own! Support local!

Then take your receipt to the MIDDLE counter window with the BIG sign to get your food and drink. It still takes long!!!! Not much of a difference when both of the lines are long already!!!! 1 line for kiosk receipt that has a sign above the counter window. The other line for order and pay cash or debit/credit card. For seniors and for some others that don't have a debit or credit card it makes it very hard for them to get food or drink from the food court. Good idea for some and for some not. We ordered two taco plates (one asada $22 and the other carnitas $20), a side of beans, side of rice, and chips & salsa. It came out to $61.78, I gave a $8 tip, and there is a 3% surcharge to use a credit card = $71.87. I almost feel a bit sick that I paid over $70 for this meal. The tip suggestions are categorized so high (I saw one option being $12+). And there is no service involved other than your food was brought out on a tray. Also, I think businesses should say if you're being charged extra to use your credit card. I also think businesses should not make you pay for that service. But, I digress. Food came out fast. I thought the rice was good, except the peas inside can be a bit dried up, the beans were very thick. My husband enjoyed his asada. My carnitas was so bland, I thought I was eating plain boiled chicken. I brought it back saying I ordered carnitas, and the boy working said twice, "That IS carnitas." I was embarrassed, but that goes to show how bland it was.. I have eaten carnitas a lot! I thought the "service" was subpar. No friendly faces. I spent awhile tipping the water receptacle to get the drops of water remaining. The boy working passed me a few times and did not say anything. I heard him tell the couple next to us, that there was complimentary water, but not much water in the container.. mostly ice. I was thinking.. can you fill it?! My husband ended up asking the cook who refilled it, but talk about lazy! I'm sorry for the rant, it's expensive to live in Hawaii and I think people are eating out less because it's a lot to afford. So it makes it frustrating to spend a lot of money for mediocre food and poor service. We live in the area and want to support businesses, but want to feel like we are appreciated as customers. I think this was our final attempt to give this place a chance. Go to Los Chapparros where you'll be greeted very warmly with yummy food.

Housed in a former gas station, it would be easy to drive right on by without a second thought, as…read morenothing from the outside hints at the culinary treasures within. Despite the fact that it's a considerably trek for city-dwellers, factoring either traffic or bus schedules into the equation, or both if you're particularly unlucky, it's a journey always worth taking. Hit Hanauma Bay along the way and make it a day trip; the only way to top those dazzling sights is to follow them with a stellar meal. Boasting a menu composed of locally-sourced produce and entirely vegan options, you'll want to take a number of friends for the best experience. Heck, get out there and make some new friends! Join one of the long communal picnic tables out back and introduce yourself; there are no friendlier folks on earth than those living in paradise, as far as I've seen. That said, if there was only one dish to order, it would have to be the Oh WOW Laulau. Wow, indeed! No where else on earth have I found vegan laulau, let alone such a stellar rendition. Traditionally consisting of fatty pork and/or fish steamed in taro leaves, this version eschews the meat in favor of hearty root vegetables, adding creamy coconut into the mix for richness. Not to be overlooked is the Tofu Poke provided on the side, claiming to be spicy but really bearing just enough warmth to taste perfectly balanced. This was easily my personal favorite from the small sampling of dishes provided, but it's a close call when all the options are so good. Another front runner is the BBQ Portobello Sandwich. Mushrooms marinated in a bright, smoky barbecue sauce practically sing between two whole wheat buns. Coconut slaw tops off the assemblage with just the right amount of subtle sweetness to contrast the deeply savory flavors within. Simpler but no less spectacular dishes include the Roasted Veg Platter and Roasted Veg Avocado Sandwich. The way that the vegetables are treated with respect, from the moment they're harvested from nearby farms to the care taken when they reach the kitchen is evident with every bite. Cooked with care and proffered generously with each serving, even the basics make the trek out here worthwhile. I'm still trying to recreate that impossibly umami gravy offered on the side. It's one of those things that are so astoundingly, inconceivably delicious, it's impossible to deconstruct. Each entree promises an ideal amount of food; satisfying diners without over-stuffing them. That said, you'll still want to make room for dessert, especially when you see the towering bowls full of Outta This Swirled Soft Serve. Cool, naturally sweet spirals of banana-based soft serve are dressed to the nines with cacao sauce that hardens much like magic shell, granola and coconut flakes tumbling down the mountainous terrain, and fresh fruits that vary based on local availability- Expect papaya always to be in ample supply, based on the thriving papaya trees on premise. Each order is abundant enough to be a considered a full meal in and of itself.
