The food isn't the problem. The service is just downright bad. They are unable to keep up with the demand at any time of the day. The constantly are running out of everything they serve! They have to keep barking orders in the back that they need more of everything else. The kitchen staff moves at a snail's pace. Then you're sitting here waiting for your food. The product comes out and they just continue service to people in line, and forget the people they have waiting. This week was my 5th or 6th time here since they opened. I return because I like the food and it can be fairly fast. It was later evening this time and there was no line, but I had to wait for a basic side....vegetables...to be made. To compensate for my wait, I was given a free drink. All of the staff have been pleasant and accomodating every time I've been here. This week I had Walnut Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki with brown rice and vegetables. I enjoyed my meal as usual. This is the worst Chinese restaurant in Jackson. The food is greasy and the employees in general are rude and unhelpful. Two I can name who are very unprofessional: Makayla and Laquisha. These two cannot keep their personal emotions from doing their jobs. My parents and I have decided never to dine here again. Funny how most of the patrons are millenials who seem to have no taste in good food. They would be delighted if the place decided to make a Tide pod flavored meal. I would rather go to Lucky cafe who has good food at inexpensive prices and you get better portions instead of tiny sized meals that represent the size zero waitresses and other staff who work here. Panda Express is the Chinese analog to Qdoba; it's Americanized Chinese fast food served in front of you in a line. I ordered the mixed veggies as my entre, white rice, and two spring rolls. The spring rolls were far too wet and sludgy on the inside. The sweet-and-sour sauce tasted like sweet ketchup (of note, the hue was that of a neon red. Sauces shouldn't be dayglow). The rice was fine with the teriyaki glaze. The veggies were hardly cooked/sautéed; the onion was nearly raw. The staff wasn't all that hospitable and rushed me to make a decision. I didn't have high I hopes going in (you don't expect good food here), but the services and the partially cooked veggies exacerbated my already low opinion of the chain. read more

Where else can you get fast oriental food, which is both healthy and filling? I eat lunch here any time I'm in the area. The place is on a main roadway, bright, clean, ingredients are freshly being prepared so they are fresh, fast serve of entrees with a base of sticky rice or fried rice or chow mien noodles with one of twelve meats dishes by any of several servers so the line moves fast and with spring rolls plus drink for $10. Servers are friendly and helpful with in putting the meal together with you. read more

This now makes my 3rd visit to Panda Express in Jackson Michigan. I love Chinese food, so I keep giving them another try hoping the experience will be different! WRONG!! Once again I am so very disappointed and downright disgusted and its definitely my final visit to this restaurant. I've tried many Panda Express restaurants in other parts of the country, and never had any complaints, the food was good, service was quick & efficient, so I'm not sure if this one is mismanaged, but every time I visit this place I experience the same problems. Extremely long crazy lines, no matter what time of day you get there, and once you get to the server they seem to always be out of the main entrees, the wait for a dish is usually 8-10 minutes! REALLY!!! I usually go on my lunch break and 8-10minutes is a long time to wait for 1 entrée! The drive thru is even worse! That line moves slower than a turtle does, and of course there are never any dishes that I want ready to go. I was hoping to try the Singapore Beef! Again 10 minute wait, so I decided on the Beef & Broccoli, once I got my lunch I had literally one piece of beef and tons of broccoli! It's GREAT it you're a vegetarian, So yes I was very disappointed. The noodles were hard and tasteless as before, and the portions are so small it's embarrassing. I truly wonder how they actually get away with it! I am still hungry as I write this review. So that's it, I give up with Panda Express and will try other places for my Chinese dining, sorry but 3 strikes is too much now. read more

This location hasn't figured out how to do things yet. Multiple TVs with the sound blaring, plus the radio on, inconvenient/uncomfortable seating arrangements, and undercooked vegetables make this an undesirable place to eat, despite its convenient location just off of I-94. Add to it that "the tea hasn't been there for a few days" (according to a worker, after we'd already purchased drinks) and this place just kinda sucks. Keep driving. read more

Between deciding on the least dirty table to sit at because they don't clean any of them, and the inedible food, one bite turned my stomach. Then the manager I spoke with took my receipt from me, and walked away. So I paid for food, which was so gross, and didn't eat it. I wasn't offered a refund or anything. It's kind of like a buffet in that the food is prepared before you get there. its not a huge selection and its not all you can eat, but one meal is usually plenty of food for me. I've eaten there a few times and had different entrees and I've liked each of them. I recommend giving this place a try. I like seeing them cook in those huge woks! read more

I normally like Panda Express but the customer service at this location is a joke. Multiple times I've just left without completing my order because I've been ignored while standing at the counter or they're just out of almost everything and I don't have time to waste. Most recently the employee behind the counter was the only one out there and was begging someone to come out of the back to help her and half the food bowls were just empty. I'm not sure what the problem is but this is probably the worst Panda Express I've been to and its issues seem to be ongoing. There are lots of other places in Jackson to get better Asian food. Decent priced mainstream Chinese food for the masses. The Orange Chicken is popular yet I prefer the spicy dishes here such as Beijing Beef. The staff can be friendly and courteous depending on who is working. The egg rolls are a bit dry but the crab rangoon are delicious. Wok seared steak shrimp and honey walnut shrimp are their deluxe dishes. The taste is good and for the average consumer not into authentic Asian cuisine Panda satisfies most taste buds. I prefer the chow mein over fried rice here too. Overall I still like China City and Aka and Lucky bwyter but this is a pretty good place for on the go dining. read more

The food gets 5 stars but the incredibly inefficient service and management gets a negative 50. Nice people, but in 2 months the wait time hasn't improved. I decided to give this Panda another try. I hadn't been there since the first week. I Love Panda Express. They were the bomb in Hawaii and California. However, this Panda blows. I had hoped there would have been some improvement since the beginning, but sadly, it was about the same. Long wait, poor service, and SKIMPY portions. The food was OK, the Pacific chili shrimp was hot and fresh but the rest was blah. The noodles were hard and cool. There were 4 employees seated and eating HUGE portions, so I had hope. But, the customer isn't as lucky at this location. This will be my last visit, which bums me out since we waited so long to get a Panda. I went to Panda Express today for lunch and had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the orange chicken bowl and took 2 bites, I realized something wasn't right. I cut open a piece of the chicken and it was completely RAW. I went back into the restaurant and gave my food to the manager and was apologized to and refunded. The biggest problem I had, besides eating raw chicken, was that the manager did not throw the rest of the orange chicken that was being served to customers away. I wonder how many other people had raw chicken for lunch today. I guess I should have went to panera like I had originally planned. read more
