Very, very old school. Now, this isn't always bad, but it is not always good either. PROS: * It tastes like you remember, if not considerably more expensive. * Generally, when I have visited the drive-through, the food is hot. CONS: * The wait in the drive-through for each order is long. And this is per car, not just with 3 or 4 cars waiting. * The employees seem to be moderately polite, but they show no evidence of enjoying their jobs. * I always forget to ask for sauce. Why not put it in the bag first? I know, some people would waste it, but it is a fish place! * The bathroom inside this store is an absolute joke. First time at a Long John Silver's and I was pretty pleasantly surprised! The service wasn't the friendliest service I've ever had but I've had so much worse. They were patient enough to let me look over the menu and time my time when ordering! The food took a bit to come out but when it comes to fish or chicken, I prefer it that way! As far as the taste of the food goes, I was pretty satisfied with the fish, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw! It was definitely greasy beyond belief but that's expected haha. As far as the interior of this restaurant goes, it could definitely use some TLC as far as renovations go but I thought it was very clean! This isn't spot I'll be rushing back to for fish over a sit down restaurant but it's a spot I'd like to visit again eventually! read more

Cmon people. Got $30 + worth of food. 5 cold fries. One shorted chicken. No hush puppies (which is the only reason i stopped). Tired of getting screwed at the drive thru. Skip this place at all costs. read more

Dirty. Health department needs to make a visit. Never have food items in stock, they just happen to be the items that take effort to make. The staff have the personality of the rags they wipe the tables off. Never again. read more

I just went through the drive-thru I asked for extra crumbs which I always do and what I got was what you see in the picture which is a box of burnt looks like from the bottom of the fryer so I was pretty disappointed that whoever would have done that not cool read more

We haven't eaten here in decades so we thought we would try it for a change , bad move . To start , a sign said closed for maintenance , but people were getting served in the drive-thru , so we pulled up , ordered and waited for the longest time , another red flag . Fish was like it had been saved from the day before and redipped in the fryer , dried out and nasty . The hush puppies were ok and the shrimp was "edible" but not very good . We will eat almost anywhere before we stop here again . read more

Started going in here a few weeks ago for the clams. Gotta say I've gone to a lot of restaurants for clams and these are honestly the best. Puts Red Lobsters and Steak Eateries to shame. Staff are so friendly and I usually go through the drive thru but it's very clean. Went to get a soda at the McDonald's near by and the outside drive through window was disgustingly dirty :/ I always think if a place is dirty then they probably aren't that cleanly when making food. If you want an alternative to the regular fast food try this place out. They make everything fresh to order and it's nice to have hot food that tastes great. :) read more

This may sound weird, but Long John's makes awesome chicken. If you're on the go and are in the mood for some, grab it. And this may sound even weirder, but it tastes pretty good in their cocktail sauce. Plan on showing your ID if you use your card. This one typically asks to see it (even if you're in the drivethru). read more

Went to this restaurant directly after the civil war re-enactment in Jackson. I bought small drink, two chicken planks and coleslaw. Also came with two hushpuppies. The chicken was good and greasy like I remember. The hushpuppies had some kind of specs all over, however they were good. The coleslaw was good. The person that waited on me was super sweet!! She was working her tail off, so was the cook I imagine. read more

Love this place.Have never been disappointed with the the cleanliness, warm welcoming crew, and the deliciousness of the eats! Never once has my family exited without ringing the Long John bell on the way out! However, please be sure when driving around the back of the restaurant to avoid the huge pothole. read more

Slow drive thru.....spent 15 waiting to order, then they were out of item I came to get...you get stuck in line, no way out....once I finally ordered it took another 15 minutes to get to the window.I won't be coming back here soon! read more

on august 29th 2015 my family went to the restaurant we were very disappointed in the service as the cashier asked my husband and daughter what they wanted and never asked me what I wanted . the food was cold and greasy. my husband had to go back up to the cashier and order my food .we all got sick from the food .we will not go back to this restaurant. read more
