Absolutely horrible! I got a big plate with honey sesame chicken, and green beans and teriyaki chicken along with the vegetables. I also ordered a orderlcrab Rangoon's. The crab Rangoon's had absolutely no cream cheese in them. It had all bubbled out when they fried them. The teriyaki chicken was stringy and tasted like some other animal. Some of these reviews are a little misleading, because this Panda Express is at the mall, so, it is an even 50/50 whether it's going to be good or bad. But, the other locations, like the one just off South Street, is really good. Usually the food is good, (at least when I have been there). The service was decent. The ambiance, however, was noisy. Big shout out to the Filipino Aunties who run the line here LOL. I know it's weird to write. A Yelp review for a fast food joint, but I just wanted to highlight how hard these girls work. Everyday that I come here (I come here at least once a week to get my chicken breasts with super greens) there is always a line that LITERALLY zig zags into the main lobby of the mall. This place is ALWAYS busy during lunch time so if you wanna skip the line I highly recommend you download the Panda Express App. That way you can just show up and pick up your order whenever it's ready. Again, I mainly wanted to write this review to give a big shout tout to the Filipino Aunties who work here. No matter how busy they get they are they do not get flustered and, more importantly, the food quality does not go down. This is a pretty average restaurant. This time I went, they had a new almond chicken I decided to try. It was old and hard. Super disappointed. I figured it would be fresh since they were busy, but it must not be popular. I did get fresh honey walnut shrimp which I ALWAYS have to get when I go. It's the perfect sweet with a little savory. Usually their fried rice is pretty good, but it really lacked seasoning. I salted it, and added some hot sauce to make it better. For whatever reason, the coke out of the soda machine tasted like Dr Pepper so I dumped it to get something else. Too much work for not cooking it myself. The food here is really good for fast food. During busy hours the line can get quite long around lunch, dinner and weekend hours. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The orange chicken is my all time go-to comfort food and I highly recommend it. It's a little more pricey than other fast food options but definitely worth it. This location is always crazy busy, but Ryan was holding it down at the register today, September 7 2023. He was fabulous, giving direction to the other workers, and juggling a lot of tasks, but he had a pleasant tone the whole time. The food here is quality and super delicious, and they obviously place an emphasis on it being cooked well! That being said, that's about the only thing they place an emphasis on. They are not concerned with efficiency or helping the line move quickly. I waited in a line of 8 other people in front of me for nearly 25 minutes. And I wish I could say that was the only time this has happened here. There is not a sense of quality customer service or urgency to help people. Everyone takes their time and will serve you at their own pace...which is insanely slow. So if you're in the mood for Panda, just make sure you budget an extra hour to wait for it. read more

Well..... The noodles were dry & hard. I received the general Tao's chicken which looked like some one just sliced a chicken breast in half, battered, fried, and rolled in sauce & veggies. Big pieces. 2nd I received the Shanghai beef....two small pieces of beef and that's pretty much it. Well, well, well done! Disappointed to say the least. I've come here several times since I've moved to Lafayette in March. Even when the line is extremely long, their service is fast. The servers and cashiers are always very friendly even during the busiest times. Food has always tasted fresh. The young Hispanic gentleman typically serves me and he always has an extremely positive attitude. I often see him helping the kitchen staff on the grill simultaneously. I'm Beyond impressed with the team work and sincerity of the staff here. Management should certainly pat their staff on the back. read more

I refuse to be ashamed that I love Panda Express. I went through a phase a few years back where I was working a job where Panda was the only edible food for a few miles, and I ended up eating a ridiculous amount of it. After a few years' hiatus, I'm back. This location has always-friendly staff. I appreciate what they put up with, too; like any job, you're going to have to put up with your fair share of rude customers. This Panda, though, seems to have a disproportionate amount. Every time I'm there, there's another demeaning and demanding customer, upset that their chow mein isn't ready RIGHT THAT SECOND. I assure you, sir: your life won't end in the two minutes it takes for them to transfer it to a serving dish. They do seem to run out of entrees at dinnertime; it makes me wonder why they don't make more of them, especially with their more popular dishes. They of course try to upsell you with add-ons but aren't pushy about it. So I went to Panda Express with my grandpa since we never tried it. I got the new Five Flavour Shrimp with noodles and a Chicken Egg Roll. The shrimp was out of this world tasty, but the veggies that came with the shrimp were soggy and mushy. The noodles was very good, and the egg roll was ok.
