Found this place while looking for a healthy lunch on our way from Indy to Chicago. After reading the previous reviews we were skeptical, but we'd had CoreLife on our list to try for awhile, so we gave it a try. The service was top notch. Tried to order at other end, nobody said a word to me and continued to help the people behind me. I had just left the vet office with bad news about my dog. Bad timing for bad service/treatment. Was so excited to try this place but was kind of bummed. First, cold noodles were hard and chewy - maybe they were supposed to be (super) al dente but basically my kids wouldn't eat them. Also they were out of tzatziki for the Greek quinoa bowl which was told to me after it had been made - really a deal killer and also the reason I ordered this bowl. I always enjoy coming to corelife for a healthier take on a fast-ish meal. They have plenty of options for entrees with meats and a large variety of fresh veggies. It is an assembly line format where you walk in and order your ingredients as they slide your bowl down the counter. I always get the korean bbq pork and it is always very tasty. The portions are good and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. They also have a few flavored lemonades and I strongly suggest at least tasting the beet lemonade. I strongly dislike beets but somehow the lemonade blends very well with it and it just works. It does get somewhat busy during the lunch hours and I have had to wait 15-25 minutes before so keep that in mind. read more

Tonight we decided to try the tacos as we LOVE tacos and eat them at home in various forms of plant-based proteins likely 4-5 times/week and we do them very well. These Pita-bread things are NOT tacos and a shouldn't be on the menu as such to mess with folks who love tacos and want them. After my wife saw mine being made she almost asked them to stop and/or ordered something else but she chose to take one for the team... Soggy pita-bread in a bowl-shape doesn't make a taco... We had buyers remorse And searched a real taco place on our drive home. An hour+ later and I feel like I ate a pile of pita The contents were OK, yet the pita ruined these taco-imposters. When I went to order, I discovered that my app did not work and the website did not recognize my username. Who knew there are decent salad places here! There is a sizable selection of salads and bowls that can all be customized to fit your taste all at a reasonable price. We love that there's a lot of seating indoors and outdoors, and the dining area feels clean. Taste can vary from order to order depending on your server and can be heavy on the sauces or make you wonder if they forgot to add sauces. My coworkers and I enjoy coming here often for lunch. Expect a lunch rush and ordering or building your options takes time. There is plenty of staff but not all dedicated to fulfilling bowls. I tried one of their green bowls - sriracha ginger tofu with ancient grains (small size). Firstly, not a lot of options for vegetarians/vegans. The tofu salad could have used with a little bit more tofu and dressing, otherwise it just feels a bit dry. I expected it to be packed with flavours but that wasn't really the case. Went for the first time last week. It was very good! Lots of healthy options to choose from. It's sort of like a Subway, but with healthy bowls. You can create your own bowl from the wide variety of options they have, or choose one of their menu items. I had the poke bowl and it did not disappoint. They put a lot of poke in there which was nice as a lot of places skimp on their poke portions. There are three sizes you can pick from, a small bowl, large bowl, or there's an even larger plate option. The large bowl was just a dollar more than the small bowl so I got that. It was a lot more than it looked like! I could only finish half of mine and took the rest home for leftovers. Prices are a little high, but it's fresh ingredients and large portions so really not too bad when you break it down. I'll definitely come here again. I look forward to trying more bowls and their juices next time too! read more

I'm sorry to say that I had to leave town to try out a CoreLife (there's one 10 mins. from my house). That being said, it's the only regret I had! So many customizable options available here, in addition to vegetarian protein sources...I was in heaven. The employee who helped me create my bowl was so kind and helpful; he explained that my falafel/hummus as well as the variety of drinks are made in-house, as well. After some careful consideration I chose the large sized Mediterranean bowl which featured a kale/romaine blend tossed with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, pickled onions, two falafel, a dollop of hummus with a creamy cucumber basil dressing. Next time I might elect to purchase more falafel, as these were small but so flavorful! The basil lemonade was certainly different but after a few sips it had me wondering if I could recreate the flavor at home...lightly sweet, yet very refreshing with an herbal undertone. Whenever I'm feeling for something quick and healthy, I turn to CoreLife Eatery. It's so refreshing having a healthy option in town! I LOVE their tuna poke grain bowl!! The portions are always so generous and the workers are very friendly. I like that when you walk in, you immediately see the fresh produce! The food here is all right most of the time, but the consistency is terrible. Since opening the menus has been incredibly sporadic. Typically when I go to a place like this, I try a few things and settle on my "come back" dish. When I found my favorite dish, shortly after they changed the seasoning of the meat. Then I settled on the new form of the dish, and they began charging extra for the veggies that had previously been included. On top of all of these changes, the staff can't seem to keep up with the changes. So many times I've gone and my bowls didn't come with the proper ingredients as listed online or in the store. Apart from menu changes, the quality of the food has been subpar and I don't love the customer service. I once almost chipped a tooth on a piece of dry purple rice -- this was the last time I went. I love that there is a health food place in Lafayette now! Every option sounded delicious, so i I had a difficult time picking, but I'm sure everything is worth a try! I ended up with the chicken coconut curry soup and it was great. My husband tried the ranch flank steak with root vegetables and love it as well. My dad opted for the Poke bowl-I snuck a few bites and know I'll be getting that next time for sure. Our little one got the kids protein plate-chicken, mandarin oranges, rice, corn, and cucumbers with ranch! When I first heard about this place I was a little hesitant to try it cause it's "vegetarian", but there are plenty of meat options and add-on possibilities. I had no idea what to expect as far as the menu went but they serve four types of meals: soups, salads, rice/grain bowls, and a make your own type non-soup bowl. I went with my mother who ordered the shiitake mushroom and vegetable soup with tofu while I went with a quinoa kale bowl with tofu and multiple veggie toppings including spicy bean sprouts. The ingredients are organic, GMO-free, antibiotic free, etc etc. They promote a healthy lifestyle and diet and even promote a diet plan. I had a large grain bowl of Spicy Thai Chicken and Rice Noodles. Yes, it is spicy, but you can cut the spiciness by switching out ingredients. I thought it was heavy on the cabbage, and I wonder if the small bowl has less cabbage because the difference in the price between large and small is about a dollar. The large bowl is a full meal and I left a lot of cabbage in the bowl. I had iced coffee for a drink. I noticed that you can taste test the other beverages with little tasting cups provided so you don't have to take a chance on a full cup. I enjoyed the thai chicken although it was a bit spicy for my taste, however, all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and there are hosts circulating around to answer questions or provide information. I had it just as it is listed on the menu. I got the fire sauce on the side but once I tasted it, I poured it all over my bowl. It was delicious. I also had a side of sweet potatoes...... OMG!
