I don't know what's the problem in this area, but it seems like the whole fast food scene is horrible. But this one takes the cake. They are slow, they never have what you want (teriyaki chicken is our go to), and the service is horrible. The bathrooms are not clean, and I don't know how they stay in business. We were out running some errands, and stopped here. We ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl with super greens, oranges chicken with lo mein, but they were out of teriyaki chicken. Stopped by this one in lake St. Louis when we regularly go to Wentzville. We did not go in and used the drive theu. Order double serving of orange chicken and rice. The serving were skeet ( unless other locations just hook it up) and looked older like the sauce had absorbed into the meat. I was starving and started to scarf it down. Decided to give this location a try for the 7th time and yet again I was disappointed. Went on 5/10 around 3:30pm. The food was cold and tasted as if it had set under a heat lamp all day. The Orange Chicken was soggy and the Chow Mein was cold and dry. It was even discolored. Possibly overcooked or set there to long and shouldn't have been served. I understand places are understaffed at the moment, but as paying customers we are not looking for bad quality food, especially if we are dedicated to wait in line since the lobby is close. If we are committed to waiting, then the food quality definitely should be a lot better. I don't plan to go back to this location. read more

Lobby remains closed and after work (6:20 pm) traffic was heavy in the drive thru. Line moved pretty slow, it took us over thirty minutes to get to the window. They were making fresh orange chicken so we agreed to wait a little longer. Ordered food and it was so poorly prepared or maybe just very old. The broccoli looked like it was rotten it was so fried so I returned the order. The manager had to make a phone call to get approval from the owner and they do not return tax paid. I have a video of the manager explaining they only return the list price of the meal they do not return the tax you paid. This place is a fraud, scam business that serves crap food. Highly recommend the health department take a look as well. Horrible location for panda. Contacted corporate. They did nothing. This company is literally defrauding their customers and stealing taxes paid when items are returned. They should be investigated. Total garbage company and horrible location. Terrible food and terrible service. I ordered two plates of double orange chicken, one with fried rice and one with chow mien. All the orange chicken tasted like burnt charcoal. I called twice and no answer. I called the next day and he said he'd replace it. I get lots of attitude from the girl at the window and attitude from the manager. Big Sis and I went August 28 after her doctor appointment on Mexico Road. She broke her shoulder July 12, cannot drive for eight weeks, so I was the DD. Coming back from said appointment, we had lunch, although I'm not quite sure this was a direct route back to her house but she selected it, so that's where we went. I haven't been to a Panda Express since April 2013. The menu's different. Go figure. And I needed a lesson. What is a bowl. What is a plate. What is a super plate. You pick your vessel first. Then you select what you want on it. Dang, these fast-food joints aren't so fast food anymore. It's like the Taco Bell menu. You used to get a burrito and a taco. DONE! Now, all these places have soooooo many choices, I need an hour to figure out what I want -- while standing in line. We let a number of people pass us in the line, because of my befuddleness. You go down a cafeteria-style line, tell the servers what you want, and they create the meal you've ordered. I'm sure most people know how this works. Don't mock me. This is new to me. At the end of the line, your food is ready on a tray, and you pay. You may opt to add a beverage. I got a broccoli beef bowl. For the side, I got vegetables. Diet Coke for beverage. Big Sis got a mushroom chicken bowl. I can't remember her side. Iced tea was her beverage. The line servers were incredibly gracious and patient, and served up plentiful food -- large servings, IMO. The woman at the register was lovely. We got our desired beverages, snagged a booth. My broccoli beef bowl with vegetables was absolutely incredibly wonderful tasting!! Holy cow!! I put a packet of soy sauce on the whole shebang. It was delightful. And I took some soy sauce packets home. The broccoli was tender-crisp, the beef was in little tender flavorful strips. The additional vegetables worked incredibly well with this dish. I went back to the cashier to get to-go vessels. And then went again for bags. She was so gracious and lovely. I got two meals. I recently gave this location another try and it's bad beyond belief. The orange chicken barely had flavor or sauce. It tasted like it was rubbery and dry. The fried rice was undercooked so portions of it were like chewing on pebbles. After I ate it, I was incredibly sick a few hours later. It was bad 5 years ago and now has only gotten worse. I wanna know who put the damn rubber in their chicken. When I take bits and pieces out of that so called chicken I thought their was pebbles in the damn chicken. The first step into the restaurant it was busy and clean. They took my order right away. I got a plate which includes choice of rice or chow mein or both and two entrées. I got my order to go. I chose both rice and chow mein; first I had a girl but once I stepped forward some guy took over and I told him what I wanted. He made me feel so rushed. If you're looking for fairly quick Asian food, most likely actually prepared by a pimply kid named Trevor, then this is good place to go in a pinch. On one particular visit I waited about 15 minutes in the drive through line for an order of their popular Orange Chicken. After I received my order and drove away I noticed that they didn't give me any utensils. I drove back to the restaurant and noticed the sign on the door said the lobby was closed. I banged on the door and then another window, but if anyone heard me they just ignored me. I personally can't eat rice and sauced chicken with my hands, so I decided to drive to another fast food restaurant to grab some utensils since the line at Panda Express was super long. I ended up going to 3 more fast food places because every one of them was drive through only (I'm assuming because of Covid and/or a labor shortage). Twenty minutes later a nice man at Dierbergs gave me a fork. As usual, the chicken needed more sauce, but at that point I was starving so 5 packets of soy sauce filled the void. The one positive part of this experience was that the plastic container kept the food pretty warm during the debacle. read more

Here's the deal: Panda is ok when "in a pinch" for some Chinese-like food. Some of it is pretty good, although the sauces are likely from a bottle. But I've always found the occasional issue with freshness, especially with mushrooms and sometimes other veggies. Here I got the Mushroom Chicken and the Pacific Chili Shrimp with Chow Mein. Typically they will give you plenty of whatever side you order, but each "entree" is about one spoonful and looks like a paltry amount. As a matter of fact, the plates or takeout containers are designed to have a main dish in the center and two smaller sides; Panda does this backwards and puts the side in the "entree" position and the tiny entrees in the "sides". It's kind of ridiculous. And cheap. Most people avoid the issues (unknowingly) simply by getting the default dish, Orange Chicken, which, while actually chicken, over-breaded and over-sweetened, has zero orange flavor. While they are good at building new locations, having a decent dining room, and being fairly consistent in dishes from location to location, they are lackluster in food quality and value. read more

Although they were super busy, their customer service was phenomenal! The employees were very nice while working under pressure.

Once again we went to this restaurant and the dining room was closed, this time "repairs ". We got in the drive thru and waited and waited as it very slowly moved forward. They were " out of the chicken teriyaki " and when we got home found our bowls 2/3 full and the soy sauce that we requested not in the bag. This is by far the poorest run Panda Express that we have ever been to. read more

This location has been terrible since before COVID happened. The past months at this location have been horrendous and down right awful. When you go you have to go through the drive thru since the inside isn't open. When you go through the drive through lines take forever and they never have orange chicken or teriyaki chicken and today they didn't have fried rice. This place doesn't take your order till they give the person if front of you there food to booster their number for speed. Which causes the line to back up into the enter and exit lanes with no access in or out at times. It's like bumper cars out their. Kung Pow Chicken w/ Chow Mien - awesome! Hit the spot. Service - terrible! I was never once greeted. Was able to walk the entire bar to see what they had, with multiple employees looking at me, before someone walked over and said "what can I get you".
