3/8/26 - My grandson & I went to church and then since it is a beautiful day we decided to take a ride!!! I drove to Lodi and we couldn't decide on what we wanted. I drove into the parking lot and noticed The Habit which I haven't been to in a long, long time. They also have a kiosk where you order your own food. I opted for a steak sandwich w/onion rings and a tropical tea. My grandson the barbecue bacon char-burger w/fries and a blue wave milkshake. I stood at the counter hoping to get the drinks because I was a bit thirsty. I got my wish!!! I took our drinks to the last table inside, there is a lot of seating outside. We waited & waited & waited, I got up and walked to the counter to ask about our order and he checked around and found it. He cook/register clerk said, "they are still working on it!" Well it was another 10 minutes before we got our order. When I go out with my grandchildren I always make sure their food is ordered the way they ordered, I want them to be happy!!! Well, grandma wasn't too happy, first my steak was a little bit too rare and when I bit into it, it was a bit tough but I held onto the meat with my finger so it wouldn't all fall out!!! My opinion rings were on the burnt side. The only thing worth paying for was the tea for my liking. I hate returning food and I know they are on the shirt side so I kept my food. I didn't want wait another 30 minutes then have to eat alone, I do enough of that throughout the week!! The meal (lunch) was $45.09 I don't think I will be back. We noticed customers coming in and then going back out. They told them when they walked in that it was a 25-30 minute wait. They only had four people working behind the counter. I don't know about Lodi, there are only two places out of about two or three restaurants that have given me supreme service: The first:The Velvet Creamery Second: Brick House Restaurant I have tried Chili's, West Coast Sandwich and In & Out and they were terrible. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to see the $40 family meal and the amazing value for 4 burgers, 4 sides, and 4 sauces. The burgers had a nice char but aren't the juiciest I've had. Still delicious though! The fries were average and didn't stand out. The standout for us were the tempura green beans, which were perfectly crispy and satisfying! They went well with ranch. I crave In N Out more than this place but would gladly return for their tempura green beans. We ordered off of the kiosk and they just silently handed us our food. read more

This is probably the cleanest habit burger I've stopped into. The bathroom especially was kept up well and stocked. The drink area was clean and had my favorite strawberry limeade! My family of 9 came in and had ZERO issues with any of our food and it was all made so delicious. The manager Eric also made rounds to check on all the tables, ours included. Very disappointed with my order. Called to inform the establishment that order was missing an item, was told to return to pick up the missing item. Such an inconvenience because I don't live in Lodi. The burgers were clearly not fresh, the meat was dry, overcooked, and lacked flavor. Overall, the food quality did not meet expectations, and receiving an incomplete order made the experience even worse. I had mango miso chicken salad without dressing. The design of the salad container is such that the salad dressing sits in a small container that is placed in a hole in the lid. Whoever made my salad did not securely tighten the lid on the salad dressing. When I opened the cover to the salad and lifted it up the salad spilled all over the coffee table linen cover. What a mess! To make matters worse, salad tastes so plain without dressing. Please fix your salad container design to prevent this from happening in future. This is my third time trying Habit and I just don't get it. It's a subpar burger place that misrepresents itself. Look at their Yelp for example: Every photo they have posted on this page is an advertisement shot and as you scroll, you instantly see that people's photos of the products they receive look nothing like the photos the business posts. Today I got a burger, fries & onion rings and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake. I really thought the nostalgia of the children's cereal might make me feel better about the meal. What I got was a cinnamon flavored shake with 3 or 4 crushed cereal pieces on top. The fries are soggy and bland but the onion rings were crisp and tasted great at first, very flavorful; I soon realized, however, it was just an abundance of salt which became a bit too much to bear by then end. I don't even want to talk about the burger...it was SO forgettable. It had zero flavor. I mean, we have A&W, 5 Star Burger, even Carl's Jr makes a better burger than this. Stopped here after a doctor's appointment in Lodi. I ordered their Cobb salad with sirloin steak as my choice of protein and it was amazing. They provide a generous amount of dressing for the salad which I appreciate. I sat in the back area of the restaurant and the seating was perfect and away from the crowd of people ordering/waiting for food. The restaurant looked very clean. Thank you to who I believe was the manager (Charles) who helped with my order and was patient with me while I figured out what I wanted and gave me the suggestion of getting the sirloin instead of chicken . This is probably one of my favorite fast food spots in Lodi due to their menu and quality. I frequently order online for pick up and I appreciate their speed and notifications when the food is ready. I personally like their salads because the chicken is simple, but well seasoned and grilled to my taste. I personally love their Caesar dressing. When I dined in a month ago, they did a service charge of 3 dollars at the Lodi location that I did not know about until I saw the receipt after.I wish I would have took a photo of it. I went in during lunch to order to go, and now they charge for ranch on onion rings, DOUBLE the price when they normally would give one per order FREE before. I was not asked if I wanted one or two, they just automatically charged me twice. They are sneaky with the extra money. They lost my business as I don't appreciate fast foods like this. The Habit is a chain that makes a point of serving good quality food. Better than In n Out might I add. Their burgers aren't overdone, and if you order them plain, they still don't taste like mustard like the previously mentioned chain does. As I am a bit picky, my orders are always custom, and they've never messed up an order. I give four stars for two reasons: they don't have a big patty that you can get medium or rare, and they don't have many side options that aren't just something fried (other than a salad). Their sandwich options aren't bad: grilled chicken, steak, ahi. But they're almost always a bit overdone. And they have a lot of plastic packaging which I always feel guilty about if I order one of them to go. In any case, if you want a decent burger or sandwich in a pinch, go here instead of a major chain, you'll be happy you did. Also, they recently added self ordering stations; skip them and order from a real person. Let's keep people employed. Extra points for having a couple veggie patties available. Garden in sandwiches, impossible in burgers. Don't get why they're separated but that's where you'll find them on the menu. read more

Well this my very first time here. I usually ask to have my Vega. Burgers WELL COOKED, like BURNT WELL COOKED... This place didn't do that for me, well we was only eating here after we helped my brother fix up his kitchen... When I ask for WELL COOKED I would need it exactly what I asked for nonetheless, because I have known that anything plant based could easily turn watery of such. The lady that took our order, I told her that this was not the "WELL COOKED" that I asked for, but by then I was already half way finished I didn't want to cause a scene... Thank you for teaching my disabled ass that some places tend to not follow what customers instruct, just as "BLAZE" pizza, one time they got it perfect for me, but then didn't do that the following times, I learned that to order in person so I could easily tell them to put it back into the oven to make it WELL COOKED... This was the only fast food I've ever been willing to do. As it's not my usual preference. I ordered online after a strenuous day at work. I have ordered here a few times over the years and sometimes it's been decent, sometimes I've had issues with them not including something in the order. But this time, there was a full blown toothpick with plastic on the end embedded in my veggie burger. I was trying to figure out what was stabbing me in the mouth and when I pulled it out it was an entire toothpick with colored plastic on the end. It looked like some of the plastic might have come off in the food, so I threw it away. I don't understand how someone could make a mistake on this level, and my fear was that someone might have done this intentionally. I really do try to be very patient and understanding with food establishments, but every single time I order DoorDash from this habit they leave out a very big part of the order. I really hope this establishment does a better job in the future of checking to make sure that all items are in the actual bag before someone picks it up. Again, I do not like to be critical of local establishments, but this has literally happened five times. Sucks that I wanted a Santa Barb but left mad. Went for dinner and mind you there was maybe 2 customers there. While I was serving our drinks an older lady with messy braided hair told my other half to lower his cellphone. First of all it may have sounded loud because hardly anyone was there and no one was complaining but her. I bought a Chicken Salad take out and when I got it home and started eating it, a large but crawled out from the bottom of the salad. I was grossed out and tossed the salad and immediately contacted the customer service on their website since you can't call and I could not go back. I was not keeping the salad with the bug! They are refusing to give me a refund on my salad becuase I failed to stop and take a picture of it. Sorry but I wanted that thing out of my house! I even showed my daughter who was sitting next to me, and we were both grossed out. They are being cheap for not refunding my money. I am not going back there. Sweet disposition, greeted with a smile and kindness. She was attentive and friendly. She exhibited a strong work ethic while I was there for the 45 mins. That's Lodi, CA This weekend we stopped (as we often do) enroute from SoCal at the Arvin store.. they had an unusually large crowdn(from a youth camp) and they handled it very well.. we didn't have to wait as long as we thought it might be! Never come to this location. The older blonde lady with long hair (pretty sure is the manager) had terrible customer service and was super rude! I was explaining to her what kind of side I wanted of two different kinds of fries but she made me feel so dumb with the way she responded to me. Then she asked my sis what kind of sauce she wanted and it didn't take her longer than 4 seconds to respond and the lady already had an irritated look on her face. When my sis responded, she also asked the lady something about her burger but right way the lady goes "Hold on! Let me put it in here first" So rude and she had her hand out too like telling my sis to stop talking! I did not enjoy my food because the whole time I had to sit and listen to the loud voice of this rude woman!
