This was the worst place that we have been. There was no food and everyone had to wait 10 minutes or more for food. Then they would put the bee food in the old serving bowls. The cream cheese rangoon were cold and there was no sweet and sour sauce. The soda machine was broken. There was no ice and only one flavor of soda but no one said anything. Even after buying the soda they never said it was broken. Just was not a very good lunch and not what you usually get at a panda Express. I would not recommend this location. read more

I come here because it's better for you than Taco Bell and McDonalds and it's supposed to be pretty fast. This place is quite the opposite. I placed a large online catering order for 35 people. When I arrived 10 minutes early to pick up, the food was cooking and smelling delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Never ever again!!! Went there back in Dec. 2016. Ordered two meals. One being orange chicken, chow mein, the other Kung pow chicken and fried rice. Got home and Could not even bite into the chicken it was so hard and the Kung pow chicken had 2 pieces of chicken. I was really upset. I called and complained and had the nicest man ever. He said whenever you decide to come back in, ask for the manager. I will make sure all the good is fresh and there will be no charge. We decided to go two nights ago. He manager first said, this was back in December , we do this a couple days after the problem. Then he said I will give you the orange chicken for free. I nicely explained what I was told. He was a complete jerk. We talked for at least 5 straight minutes. I told him what I was told by the other guy. I was I pissed , I told him forget it!! I do not want your food all. He said I'm just trying to find out more information . I said we're not talking 50$ meals this is ridiculous!! As my voice got louder he said, I will give you your food. I told him to keep it! The best thing I like about Panda Express is their Orange Chicken. That seems to be their best dish, and I think it's the one that made them famous. This one in Petaluma is usually a good deal, but if you get there too late in the evening the selection becomes pretty slim. This is by far the worst place to eat!!! Please read my whole review!!Simple bland and disgusting. You can tell the food sits there forever. This wasn't my main concern. This was the first time I went there and will never ever go back. My kids love chow main and rice. I put some on the plate for my 6 and 4 year old. My daughter who is six told me there was something funny in her mouth. I told her to spit it out and put it in my hand. When I looked at what it was. I was pissed it was plastic!! Completely disgusting and dangerous!! I called them and they guys who answered said oh sorry about that. I told him you don't sound shocked because this is very serious someone could die. He said no I agree but this happens frequently. I told him he should throw the rest away. He said since I was there 20 minutes ago it would've all been served and gone. He also said I probably won't be the only call tonight. What really bothered me was this was normal to him. He told me he wrote down my complaint which was Wednesday and the manager would call me Friday. I'm sure everyone knows there was no phone call. If I could give them negative stars I would. This wasn't about a refund it was a warning to get their shit together!! Reading previous complaints they say the manager seems drunk or on drugs. It wouldn't surprise me since she didn't find my complaint serious enough to call me back.I will get a hold of this manager and the owner. This is not done I'm just getting started!! I've eaten at a bunch of Panda Express locations but I find the Petaluma spot is the worst I've ever had. I know Panda Express is a chain and all their food is suppose to taste the same everywhere but this one is far from the rest. I normally like eating at Panda Expresses when I'm in a hurry. I've eaten at the one in Santa Rosa, San Francisco, San Jose, and Sausalito. Those places all tasted similar but for some reason the Petaluma spot falls short of standard. Fried Rice is pretty bad compared to the rest. Lacks soy sauce and seasoning. Alot of the time, the fried rice is undercooked. Egg Rolls are usually undercooked as well (crispy on the outside, wrapper inside is soggy). Only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because occasionally, food is cooked properly. First of all, NO VEGETARIAN ENTREES. There's a sign on the buffet where you begin your order stating this. They've never had many options for vegetarians but now they've even done away with their eggplant tofu. Basically, you get chow mein, steamed vegetables with zero seasoning (think 1970's vegetarian) and vegetable spring rolls. I visited Panda Express on February 18, the location on South McDowell in Petaluma. I wanted to use a coupon for a free item and was told that I had to purchase a 2 entrée meal in order to use the coupon. I was confused, so I looked and re-read the coupon and nowhere on it did it state that there was any purchase to be made. It just stated that I would receive a complimentary item with the coupon. The person helping me was very rude and said that it didn't matter what the coupon stated - SHE was telling me that SHE would not except the coupon without the purchase of a two entrée meal. Since they were so busy and I didn't want to hold up the line I asked if I could just have the manager's name please. She responded ' I am the manager' turned away from me and went onto the next customer in line. I still do not know who she was (a short plus size woman with a need for makeup tips) but even the other employees behind the counter had looks of apology and embarrassment. We come here often, as the kids like the food, and it's convenient. The service is often slow and they sometimes seem understaffed for the dinnertime peak. Last night I was standing in line with one of the discount cards that high school sports sells to raise money. I got a call saying that more mouths were to be fed and quickly went from single meals to the "family meal". The extremely fine print on the card said something like "buy one entree, get another free". When I got to checkout, a rather brusque woman named Helen said that the coupon didn't apply to the family meal. I said that an entree is an entree, and complained that they were not being honest with us and our kid's fundraising efforts, amounting to a kind of exploitation by the restaurant. She had several ways to get out of this, I mean what is the price of a $5 entree measured against customer loyalty? Well she wouldn't budge so here we are. I have no sympathy for a business that doesn't honor their coupons, especially when they claim to be supporting our schools. I also had to wait an additional 10 min. or so (by design? As Helen at that point wanted to show me up?) while they replaced some basic commodity like broccoli. I suggest you go to one of the many family owned Chinese restaurants in Petaluma instead. read more

Last time I visited this place was a few days ago (end of August 2015). The service was so slow that I had time to watch food being prepared. I saw this guy shoveling noodles with his bare hands OVER and OVER - no gloves. This made me think of whether or not he washed his hands after the last time he used a bathroom - or did he go straight to shoveling noodles? Then, the other guy at the checkout took 20 minutes to flirt with three girls who looked to be about 12... Fucking creep. The guy looked like he is in his mid 20's. Then the only other person who was available to serve food, said she will be back... she left and never came back. My total wait time was about 30 minutes. After watching the guy shovel those noodles, I turned around and left. I also remembered finding a hair in my Panda food last time I ate there and then I noticed the people were not wearing hair nets. Needless to say, I will never go back to any Panda ever again. And I already made sure no one in my family goes there again. read more
