The foods good, but sometimes it's so slow, they always seem to be understaffed. I've waited in the drive through for 30 minutes (and once you're in the drive through you're stuck!) Some of the staff members are really nice and apologetic, but sometimes they're really snappy and rude...which I guess if you're constantly understaffed. There was a 5 minute wait on chow mein followed by a 1 minute wait on orange chicken when I arrived causing about a 10 person pile up. Although I complained about the boyfriend wanting to go here, the orange chicken and lo mein is always good, the food fast, and the flavor consistent (for better or worse). We drove in from Phoenix to spend a few cool days and decided to have the first night's dinner at an easy going, economical place and chose this Panda Express. They had run out of Shanghai Angus Beef and the staff immediately cooked a dish for me. I don't know why Yelp has it ranked at four dollar signs when two dinners consisting two entrees, shrimp and beef, cost $17.00. Great food and accommodating staff. I want to hate them because I've never been here and not waited anything less than 20 minutes and have even been trapped in the drive through for over 40 minutes! Yesterday to avoid that I went inside and it was no better. The only reason why I give them any credit is because I see how hard they are working but for whatever reason they are constantly behind. I haven't complained once, I try to be as patient as possible. My last 3 visits I've left with free cookies and drinks as well as apologies for the long waits. So I was gonna order food for my family today, I was greeted at the door with one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Didn't get a name, she was to busy berating me that I couldn't even explain why I wanted to order my food by walking in. I don't use a smartphone so delivery apps or online ordering wouldn't have worked for me. I drive a very large vehicle so drive through wasn't an option and they don't offer masks for anyone wanting to enter the store. So instead of shutting up and serving me 4 to go orders she takes it upon herself to be rude human. The lady that helped me was not very inviting at all and not only made me grab my own water cup but I had to ask for fortune cookies. The bathroom was disgusting.... 1 stall was missing a door, no toilet paper in either stall and trash was overflowing. I went here after over a year because I now drive to Phoenix from Prescott to go to Pei Wei. I reminded myself why I make the drive. They pollute their chow mien so bad with cabbage, it's awful. I hate cabbage! (All Panda Express' do this, but this place is over the top!) No freaking filler cabbage in Pei Wei FRESH chow mien. Also, they clearly served me LESS portions because it was to go (they waited to fill the bowls until they knew if it was to go). They have reduced the size of their serving containers and give you less now, while the prices continue to rise. I will not be back. Wake up Panda. I went to this location to order food, I ordered a plate through the drive through, and was told to pull my car up. The girl at the drive through window was very rude, and did not specify where I needed to pull up to wait in order to get my food. I waited 25 minutes for food that I had ordered through the drive through! When I got my food I found hair in it and was it was missing one of the sides that I had ordered! Very unprofessional and rude I will never go here again. I work in the customer service field! This place lacks exactly that and the workers I encountered were very rude, I noticed that when I went to talk to their manager about the service I had received 2 of the girls I had encountered, went off to the side and were talking about the situation. Food was okay but the online order system stunk... The order wasn't ready for nearly 10 minutes after the promised time - even though the promised time had been extended once before. I wouldn't have minded waiting had someone told me what was going on. Instead, I was ignored, all the while thinking that my food was going to be ready at any moment. I could have taken care of some other things during this time instead of just waiting. These folks need to learn how to communicate and treat their customers with more consideration and respect. Clearly, that's a management issue, especially since the manager was there! In looking at the other reviews, Panda Express is CONSTANTLY apologizing for the lousy service AND NOTHING IS CHANGING! I'm sure there are better alternatives in Prescott. Dear Panda Express Corporate, Don't bother apologizing to this accurate review. I wouldn't have reviewed a fast food joint but had to comment. Been here twice and both times the place has been filthy. Four people working... tables/seats had bits of food on them. consistently bad food and the dregs they find to work there are generally jerky and inept. local staff are at least usually friendly. but it seems they prefer to hire out of townies, perhaps graduates of the local rehab industry who've decided to stay on. so expect some new jersey 'tude with your eggrolls. example: girl asks me a question and then halfway through my answer talks over me saying 'yeah i got that'. ok, genius. then she has to ask again (and again) because, well, she was running her mouth or just spaced out not listening. and yup, they still messed up our order. the insane fake friendliness of the cashier (ignoring the problem) was weird as well. the food is steam tray food but it should be better than this. it's quite bad by panda express standards and PE is a place one enters with lowered expectations to begin with. hey franchise owner - do you eat your own food? if you did, you wouldn't need us to tell you what's wrong with it. dry chicken, unpalatable sauce, can't even cook rice or noodles semi-correctly. just dog food, really. pro tip for the owner: if you go down to Anthem where the outlets are there is a similar sort of "chinese food" steam tray restaurant inside the outlet food court. same setup, similar menu, but about 9 million times better. rather than waste time sending me a DM i won't read, have a meal at the place i mentioned and analyze how they do things, from the quality of the food to the way the line is run to how the staff interact with customers. read more

Been here a couple times and its pretty consistent: Bad. Do not come here if you are in any kind of a hurry. The staff at this place has not even a remote sense of urgency. I ordered a couple meals (orange chicken for one and grilled chicken teriyaki for the other). The server plated the orange chicken as ordered and then started to plate a second orange chicken. I reminded her that it was actually supposed to be an order of grilled chicken teriyaki. "Oh crap" she said. Thought it was just an expression to acknowledge her mistake, but in fact she was apparently describing the quality of the teriyaki chicken I learned after I sat down and took a bit. You can't call this grilled. Its slimy and fatty and doesn't appear to be white meat. "Oh crap" was an accurate description. Couldn't finish it but cant say I wasn't warned. And yeah they ran out of chow mein too. Just like all the other reviewers have pointed out in regards to running out of food. So whatever is going on here is not getting fixed it would seem. The orange chicken was okay and the location is great. Otherwise the place was fairly dirty too. And no, it wasn't that busy and they appeared to be appropriately staffed. Every time i have been there they are out of most things. I ask for teriyaki chicken and they say "yes we have that but we don't have teriyaki sauce" they never compensate for messed up orders or for being out of everything you ask for. the last time i was there she told me she will give me the short list of what they do have because they were out of everything. I discovered this restaurant (I live just down the road and always take out) a few months ago and it is my go-to for Chinese cuisine. The welcome from the servers is always very friendly: they smile and ask how they can help, and if it's busy they assure customers that they will be right with us. They answer any questions with great understanding, because they actually listen to what is asked! This visit, I wanted only four mains, and I was shown how to do this with helpful suggestions on taste and variety. I arrived to have lunch at almost exactly noon. There were only three staff on duty trying to service long lines at the inside counter and the drive up window. They were processing huge to go orders and most of the food items were gone. The cook was trying to keep up and the two staff handling the orders were definitely doing their best. They did not have any mixed vegetables available and promised me they would be ready in a "about a minute" (they were telling everyone that). I never did get the mixed vegetables. When I left the restaurant both lines were still extremely long. If I ever return, I will try to avoid the peak hours. The management should hire enough staff to handle the number of customers. read more

Portions are VERY small. After eating a 2 entree plate, I walked out still hungry. I've never walked out hungry at a Panda Express before, in fact I usually take some food home with me. We went in just before the dinner rush and there wasn't any orange chicken so we had to wait for it. They forgot our order and my husband had to get into the now rush hour line and ask for his orange chicken. Terrible customer service. My husband and I ate @ this Panda Express and girl that took our order was not very kind (she was the girl tending to drive-thru also). When asked how can I help you, I pointed to 2 entrees and asked if I can sample them, she quickly told me "I can't see what you're pointing to because I'm behind a bar." She said this with an annoyed tone. After telling her samples I wanted to try I placed my order (2 plate entree, Black Peppered Chicken & Teriyaki Chicken). She quickly told me that I'm going to have to wait 15 minutes for more Teriyaki Chicken to come out as person before us placed a semi-large order. Another employee (very nice guy) said "No, we should have enough teriyaki here, pointing to bar area." Honestly, if one works in food industry he or she should know that they will be working with serving customers and should have better customer service skills. THIS store is awful! We went for lunch...only 3 people standing in line. No brown rice. Only 4, yes 4 entrees to choose from - all others were gone. Gal hollered out the need for more and was ignored by the cook. When we asked how long we would have to wait...the cook threw up 6 fingers. Bathrooms were filthy; tables were dirty and we had to clean our own table. Looked for sweetner for our tea, we were informed they were out....no sugar either! Go to the damn store and buy some till the order comes in! Tea fluid covered the stainless counter - I cleaned it up with napkins - disgusting! As I ate, watched a worker push down the trash with her bare hands, and then picked up the utensil holder - contaminating the utensils! Continued to watch as she then grabbed a rag to begin to wipe down tables! Grabbed trash can and dragged it across the restaurant and went right back to the server line - no hand washing!!!! They have a Help Wanted sign....but of the 5 'kids' I saw working...I would have kept only one - the others would be fired. Manager is at fault here....get these kids some reliable training and lessons in customer service. No, manager should be fired, keep the kids and the new manager should provide training and a watchful eye! read more

How disappointing can one place be! After sitting in the drive thru for 22 minutes with my engine off, I will NOT be returning. This wasn't the first time this has happen. Walked into Panda Express and was greeted promptly by the staff. I went through the serving line thinking I was receiving small amounts of food and asked for more, the employee told me she could add more as a second entree or charge me extra so I found that a little concerning as the elderly Caucasian​ gentleman in front of me had no problem getting extra food. I also noticed an employee in a black shirt preparing a plate for the drive-thru. He was literally getting all the old, small pieces of teriyaki chicken​ sitting in the bottom of the bold despite the fact they had just put out a fresh bowl of juicy, not old chicken. For this fact I would not go through the drive-thru. Getting through the rest of the line was no problem. It was not until I returned home that I opened my box and saw that I only had two pieces of shrimp and no steak in the new "wok-seared steak shrimp" entree. I called the restaurant​ to complain, talked to the manager on duty and she replied, "there's nothing we can do about that". This Panda Express has no problem charging extra money, reducing their entree size, not putting all ingredients of an entree in your meal, or practicing good customer service. read more

Thought I would treat my son and daughter-in-law to take out for dinner....BIG MISTAKE going to this place. Starting out we were pushed through as fast as possible. They were going to give me the last of dried out noodles and immediately after put out a fresh bowl, I asked for fresh noodles and the server gave me a 'how dare you' look and I knew right then we should have walked. There were at least five empty dishes and others having next to nothing in them. It's hard to decide what dishes to get when there are so little options. With the high price of this mess I will not be eating there again!!!!!!!!
