Yesterday I bought a take out large sized serving of Beijing Beef. Today I was eating it out of the container (I happen to like cold Chinese food) and found a foreign object in the container. I called the manager and reported what I found. Google didn't identify the item as a food related object. It looks a little like tinsel. Or the strip you use to open up a package of candy or gum. On top of the food being subpar most of the time because of so much inconsistency with their cooks...we just came to get food and the hours listed on THEIR DOOR say till 8:30pm it is 7pm and they said they were closing. Whoever the manager is, is LAZY and going against company regulation hours! Okay so I'd my previous review of two stars was so bad why am I back here? Well the shrimp is actually pretty good. And I keep thinking that maybe a manager somewhere will read the Yelp post about how stingy the place comes across they don't even put sugar out by the beverage station to allow you to pick your own you have to go back up to the counter and ask them for it after you realize that they're probably the only restaurant in the world it doesn't offer a selection of sugars at a beverage station. Strangely they're still using equal and don't know what Splenda is. As I said before everything is an upcharge. Really I should grade the food at a 3 to 4 stars and everything else had one except for cleanliness it is very clean in here so that's nice. Anyway they just got sufficient help with the counter got a little bit more consumer-friendly attitude it wouldn't be bad. Today my son's noodles were burnt, the box smelled like burnt popcorn and nobody answered their phone when I called to let them know. I just want to give a shoutout to Antonio at the restaurant in Sahuarita! He is so kind and personable. Very well mannered. He was cooking and the only one that made eye contact with me. I had a question. He had the other guy cover his station while he came over to help me. What a kind professional young man. He made sure I got my order the way I asked as he served my plate himself. This place is HORRIBLE! None of their chicken is breast meat; it's awful thigh meat, which I despise, and I fought with the guy there about it being thigh meat, but they claimed it was breast meat. The cuisine is bland; I had the Teriyaki chicken, blah blah blah. The fried rice might just as easily be plain old white rice, and the low mein, well, what can I say? Brand new to the Sahuarita/Green Valley area; in comes in a new fast food restaurant chain; Panda Express! Off to a reasonably good start, the public ran in with a FURY! This area of south Tucson is known for pizza joints and deli sandwich shops so to have a Panda Express this far south of Tucson was a refreshing stance. For the first few weeks, the delays and portion sizes were quite an issue and normal to the expected value you normally expect. Now, a few months down the road, it's balanced out and a bit more polished, thought not perfect. This Panda Express still struggles with execution and speed but the food is good if not great. The portion sizes are getting back to normal but one thing I absolutely can not appreciate is the CONSTANT bombarding of asking each and every customer if they want to donate to some cause or another as you pay out at the cashier. I get it, but PLEASE, learn to be concise and expedient... The store isn't usually a mess, but there are days, they struggle to get a body out from behind the counter to clean up the very dirty drink counter area. The floor can become quite a sticky situation. I'd suggest management pay attention to this part of the review and work it... Overall, being in fast food a few decades ago, I get it. They have to hammer out a few details and find their groove. However, they are ALL the noise in Sahuarita right now so the management really needs to take heed and get a grip on the speed of their delivery. It's not the money, but with so many other fast food places giving it, why not give them my business and save a little $$ while doing so. We go here frequently but this is seriously the later straw for me. Every time I order the cream cheese Rangoons I ether have to ask for the sweet and sour sauce or they forget it. I've made it a habit of checking the bag because I know they don't put it in there. Which baffles me because every other panda I've been to provides a container with the sauce. Maybe they changed it because there are packets now but I feel like the sauce is part of the meal! Just went through the drive through today and I look down in the bag see some sauces and drive off. The communication between coworkers is horrible. I watched them mess up the order. I don't know how you can mess up orange chicken and chow mein. I was the second person in line with one customer behind me. It was a train wreck. Both orders were simple and no excuse to cause a back up. I am very understanding when it is absolute chaos. This restaurant always has long wait times. If you go anytime after 7pm you can expect to be told you'll need to wait for your food, for at least 20 mins. According to Stephanie, the person left in charge for night shifts, they don't cook food in the evenings so they don't toss a bunch out.
