Years ago we used to go to ChinaThai owned by the same owner and we loved their curries. Yesterday we went in for lunch to this place and I have to say it was meh. Since this was a weekday we got lunch specials. You get hot and sour soup, egg roll and what ever dish you order plus steamed rice. I ordered Thai iced tea and pad Thai. Their pad Thai is too runny and too sweet for me. The hot and sour soup is veryyyyyy gooood. Thai iced tea is super sweet, needed a glass of ice to make it drinkable. Sadly the portions have gotten smaller while the prices have risen. Very inconsistent experiences. Also, they are unexpectedly closed.

I like being able to order online, it was very easy to use. When I went to pick up I was bit early but we just sat and waited which was fine. The cashier was very kind and actually gave my 3&6 year old apple juice boxes while we waited: that was a nice gesture. The food was delicious, although I should've gotten everything spicier (for my taste). We got the pad Thai 47, wonton soup 25, and general Tao 60 & crab puffs. I like that the crab puffs actually taste like crab and not like straight cream cheese. Didn't get a chance to take any pics as we were really hungry and everything got eaten quickly. I haven't been here since we first moved into the Rita ranch area over 5 years ago. Happy to see they survived through the covid times and are still in operation. Ordered a takeout of Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Panang Curry, Egg Rolls, and Hot & Sour Soup. My daughter told me this was the best Thai place she's had and she's definitely correct. The food was flavorful and fantastic. Food portions were generous. The cashier taking our order was very courteous, knowledgeable, and polite. Still inconsistent and high priced with very very small portions. They are closed a lot for vacations- so must be doing well financially (maybe due to their high prices). Seriously it's a complete rip off especially when Thai ingredients are not expensive. Rice is extra and it's so small. Wow. Stopped by on our way back up from the Apple Orchard. Service was extremely hospitable and friendly. The ambiance is casual and what I'd expect from any unassuming Thai take out restaurant. Restrooms clean. My friend and I got the #27. Gaeng Dang which is described to be red curry paste, coconut milk, bell peppers (green and a red), mushroom and bamboo stalk. I got it with shrimp which was $17.95 I believe. The food was STELLAR. So delicious and flavorful I couldn't stop eating!! The description reminded me of panang curry so I got it. However , they have a dish called panang curry which I didn't try. I also did a $5 glass of Cabernet and it was great! Just what my meal needed. It was $25 in total. I'm half Thai so I can be a harsh critic of authentic Thai food. The service was fine, building seemed a bit run down. I mean, a walk to the bathroom seemed sketchy. We were with two locals who say this is the best Thai food in town. If it were not for them, I would have walked out immediately after realizing they don't make Som Tum (papaya salad). If you want to be the best Thai Restaurant you have to serve papaya salad! What in the world! Every Thai restaurant I go to I always order the same things to see if they are any good or not. Som Tum, Yum Nua (beef salad) and a noodle dish. My husband got the beef salad and they never asked how spicy he wanted it. He likes Thai hot. I ordered the Pad se ew and it was sweet, gravy like soggy noodles. No char on the noodles so it seems like they made the same recipe for pad se ew as they do for the lard na. Very disappointing. This is the best Thai restaurant in Tucson, my Sister in-law is from Thailand and when she visits Tucson we go here. I work nearby so I get take out many times a month. The food Is always great. The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant has pictures on the wall of Thailand. One day I will add Thailand to the countries I have visited for sure. We were in Tucson and decided to let Yelp pick our Thai dining spot one night. Saing Thai is located south of Tucson and to the east. They are located in a strip mall and can seat a out 40 people. We ordered the chicken Pad Thai and green curry chicken with rice. The staff was a bit slow and the owners daughter, who works there, was over the top with sharing her life story for over 6 minutes. A neighboring table asked her how she was and off she went. It was very uncomfortable. The order was placed at a medium spice level. The food arrived hot but there was NO FLAVOR AND NO HEAT. The Pad Thai was unremarkable and a huge disappoint. The green curry had the flavor of heavy SALT. We could only eat 1/3 of the order before tapping out. I don't like giving a bad reviews to a mom and pop restaurants but they earned this one. Saing Thai needs to focus on their flavor and taste profiles. Ok this place got rave reviews on Reddit. Kinda far from my home but on a return trip from Bisbee, we decided to give it a try. Ok owner was there and he was very nice. He was attentive and friendly. Store is small but enough booths to eat comfortably. The hot & sour soup is hands down best I've had in AZ. Now the portions were very small. Yes it was the lunch menu but honestly my drunken noodles had honestly 25-30 noodles max? Too much oyster sauce for me as well. Husbands pad Thai chicken was a very off putting color. Good but pink. I recently moved to the area from Texas and was on the hunt for a Thai restaurant. I don't like spicy, peppers or onions so it can be challenging. I love Pad Pak if it is prepared like I am used to in the Austin restaurant I frequented. I went in, asked about the Pad Pak and vegetables that were in it. It was all good, so I ordered it. The lunch special comes with rice, an egg roll and hot & sour soup, which I don't like. They have no other kind of soup, so I was offered an additional egg roll. My Pad Pak with shrimp arrived and I was pleased with the flavor. The egg rolls were great. My only complaint was the portion was rather small, especially for the price. Small strip mall restaurant. Clean but not super inviting. I would rather see condiments on the table (soy sauce, etc.) rather than those hard to open individual packets that sometimes explode when opened. I just drank water and with tip, it cost $20. I just wish the portion was a little larger. Other than that, service friendly, just a few diners in the restaurant after a bit. One couple was rather loud, but I'm not sure if they knew the owner or were employees of the restaurant. read more

I have been so heart broken since my favorite Thai place closed. I miss it so. Before they came along I was hard pressed to find a satisfying place. I had almost given up. I don't remember how I found this place but I did. It's a strip mall casual place with a few tables and booths. Not fancy. Not divey, just a casual everyday come as you are place. They have a full menu with all the expected items such as Pad Thai. Since I was hankering for a few specific items I didn't look extensively at the menu. But it seemed there were a few different dishes some others in town don't have. Either way I think you'll find something you like. I ordered take out. The order had the green curry, the drunken noodles and the Tom yum soup. The soup was soooo good. All you'd want from it. Flavorful. Warm. Satisfying. I wish I had ordered more of it. The drunken noodles were nicely spicy. They were not Thai hot. Not over the top can't even taste my food spicy. They were nicely done with good not mushy noodles. Just the right amount of sauce and a little kick. Perhaps for some to much. Idk. We live in Tucson right? So what is spicy? And it is Thai food. I thought I could go a bit more but for not having specified the amount of heat I wanted, it was pretty perfect. I finished off my Thai food feast with the green curry. It was good. Not as creamy as some. Definitely not as good as my old fave. Still it was quite tasty and it will fill the bill. Overall I found it to be a very good meal. I'd be happy to share with or recommend to anyone. It was totally what I was wanting. The only thing was that I so sadly forgot to order the Thai tea. I really had wanted it to. Oh did I mention they have Thai tea, Thai coffee. Actually their drink menu is nice to. They have crazy coffee (whatever that is), Thai espresso a Japanese wine plus an assortment of, wines, beer, regular coffee, tea. And sodas. I'm going to have to go back just to try the Thai drinks. Fun fact: This restaurant is one of the 12 Thai restaurants in the USA to be rewarded by the Thai government for being authentic Thai cuisine. This was my first time trying Thai food and I am obsessed! We got green curry and beef pad kee mao. The green curry was well spiced and savory, it was devoured instantly. Sooooooo happy I found this place. I was craving Thai food ( I just moved here 4 months ago and didn't know any Thai restaurant here yet) and was searching for a Thai place on Google and Yelp. I called the first place I found but they didn't answer. Then I found Saing Thai and looked at the menu and thought, oh the menu looks pretty authentic. So I called them and I'm so glad I did! WOW!!
