Rio Hondo had an event this afternoon at 12pm and Panda Express really came through for us in a HUGE way. We had a food vendor lined up and unfortunately, they cancelled an hour and a half before the event. Pandra Express came through for us in a pinch, providing 200 bowls for the event in an hour. Today around 12:00-12:30 PM, my visit was extremely disappointing.The employee who helped us, Diana, was all smiles and very friendly to the couple in front of us( which is not Asian) even giving them generous portions. When it came to our turn, her attitude completely changed. Instead of helping us, she spent time mopping, wiping tables, and doing other tasks while we stood there waiting. When she finally served us, she was rude, gave us dirty looks, and served us noticeably smaller portions than the couple ahead of us and the customers behind us ( also not Asian)The difference in both her attitude and the portions was obvious and made us feel unwelcome. Customer service should be respectful and consistent for everyone. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I won't be returning. read more

I really do hope the owner of this restaurant reads this. Owner of this location just know you are losing money with those lazy workers you have that close. We understand that they close at 10:00 PM but if I show up at around 9:00PM I expect food and quality service no matter the time. These children that run your restaurant obviously want to leave ASAP once 10:00 pm hits. But it doesn't work like that you have to take care of the customer until the last call. They already finished our order but didn't give it to us until they finished doing the other people's orders that were BEHIND us. Poor customer service. I notified employees about my celiac & was met with attitude and overall poor service. I asked about the ingredients as most items are not labeled gluten free & I assume they are not due to the sauces Panda uses, but the employee (I'm assuming the manager or tl as she was wearing black) couldn't tell me about the sauces & the other employee rolled her eyes. I don't mean to be difficult, I just want to be able to enjoy my food but these employees didn't have the patience & made it known with their facial expressions. Employees were in such a rush (no ppl waiting btw) that the cashier did not provide me my exact change (cents lol)? I usually don't complain, but being nice doesn't require much energy. Hello panda express. I'm Jon. I went to your store yesterday at 3:30 pm. I placed an online order for 3:30 pickup. When I arrived my order was not ready. I was asked if I was picking up an order by the mgr. I answered yes nd gave the name. My plate was on the counter but not being made. Since I work in food service, as well as management, I understand the order of operations for the various tasks in different workplaces. The mgr said it would be ready asap. The customers who were in line before I arrived were being helped 1st. This is a constant "fast food" issue with your company, as well as many others. My order was placed "online" at 3:15 exactly. I remember, because I scheduled my pickup for 3:30. As an online customer, I am supposed to be able to count on my food being ready at the pickup time I select, otherwise what is the point of having the option? So anyway, I waited patiently while the mgr "wiped the counter" instead of making my food as soon as she saw other employees were unable due to them helping people in line. The mgr should have taken "initiative" and got right on top of the next task quickly. I don't eat out very often. This is a prime example of why it truly makes no sense to not cook for yourself in this day and age. I haven't even got to the worse part. Once we(my wife and 3 daughters)got home with the food and unwrapped it and sat down at our family dining table, I thought to myself how great "panda express" was about to be. I remember thinking, "I haven't eaten all day". The fried rice was crunchy and cold. The noodles were cold and dry, extremely dry. The teriyaki chicken was burnt. The only item that was "ok" was the walnut shrimp. Not good, just ok. I am deeply hurt by this experience with your company/location. It shows me yet again why I choose to eat out once maybe twice a year. The customer service was unacceptable. The attention and care to the preparation of the customers food is vital for you to receive "repeat customers". This experience deserves "zero stars". I would appreciate someone from your store or corporate to reach out to me and "make this right". I've spent quite a bit of money with your company worldwide over the last 45 years of my life, and I sure don't feel like panda cares about that. I had a disappointing experience at this location today. The store was not busy, yet three employees were standing around while my order was incorrect. Craving Orange Chicken, yum! I was craving Orange Chicken and got one Pork Eggroll. The Orange Chicken was delicious and a lot, even for a small box. The pieces were both large and small. Crispy and great for eating while watching Hallmark Christmas stories. Pork Eggroll: Yum! Felt like I was eating at my Mom's. We saw more boxes waiting where the entrees should be. And at least two grub-hub drivers waiting. Because we were waiting so long for our food some of it was cold. One of the worst service I have ever experienced. Food doesn't taste the same. Someday veggies could be no taste and someday it could be so salty. Today, cash register froze but a charge shows up on my credit card app. The person who was there insisted that if no receipt means no charge. I do not believe that no receipt means no charges. Picked up a catering order from the app for the first time today... the price was great but what was even better is the kind staff at the store were willing to adjust the pick up time for the order! Everything wanted and needed for today was hot fresh and ready. A young woman with the cutest hairstyle and most pleasant personality named Diana had everything ready on time set up perfectly and was ultra polite when handling the request that were made. This Panda Express is clean and ultra cute I love the little chalk board sign the staff puts up with hearts and cartoon drawings on it ! Very clean sit down take out bustling with customers but fast on point service catering menu is great for a work lunch and the time can always be adjusted reasonably with management if need be.Appreciated the service and staff here so much ! I've been here a few times but not a good experience today. Took a bite of broccoli and it was super salty! The rest of the food was ok. What made me feel a little uncomfortable is when one of the workers started sweeping the floor while customers were eating! Worst service ever. Never experienced this but I guess there's a first time for anything. Made a mobile order, received a text message stating order was ready. Went to pick it up, all employees told me "sorry your order is not ready". Waited 10-15 minutes extra until manager said, "oh I'll work on your order right now". I asked an employee why I revived the text if my order wasn't ready and she stated, "oh I don't know we've been receiving many orders like that". Okay cool whatever. Just didn't make sense when everyone, including manager telling me that they were still working on it, but towards the end manager "works" on it. To "make up" for the time waiting the manager offers me some egg rolls (plural) but proceeds to give me 1 egg roll and this is how it looks. Didn't open nor check my order until I got home and was instantly disgusted and confused. I should have read the reviews. I've been to several panda express in the southern California area for years. First time at this location and it was the worst! I literally only signed up for yelp just to review this location. I ordered bigger plate, comes with 3 entrees. I don't have a pic of everything but you can see very little sesame chicken and the pieces are really small. The beef and broccoli was just broccoli with 3 pieces of beef about the size of a nickel. Black pepper Angus steak, which we pay extra for this extreme, only had 4 small pieces of steak, and 2 slivers of mushrooms. If you see the sesame chicken in the pic, there was half that amount for the black pepper angus steak. And why is the chow mein do chewy and dry? I asked for sweet and sour, had to go back in because they forgot an entree on another order and again.... told them sweet and sour sauce, still didn't get any. Every other panda the portions are almost triple what they give. It's more worth it to drive longer and go to a good panda. read more

The ambiance in this store was amazing. I came in around evening and the store was filled with people eating laughing and just chilling. The guests welcomed me as soon as I entered the store and they immediately served me. Also, I donated to the charity thing they have and the workers thanked me , even a random lady said thank you out of confusion. The chowmein was fresh today, the broccoli beef, and the kung pao chicken. 10/10 read more
