Excellent authentic Sichaun food! The people who work here are nice also. My wifes from China and she says the food here is just like home. We love it.

Authentic food. Fair pricing. Highly Recommend. Ordered Spicy Boneless Chicken and love it.

The best Sichuan food in this area. Very authentic, good amount of portion enough for 2-3 people for one dish. Definitely will go back to try other dishes. Hope they don't change chef.

Thanks to my son in law we got to try a new spot. How Rowland Heights has changed since the 80's…read more Just love the rich food scene. Be forewarned. Friday and Saturday nights the parking can be very challenging. Once seated service was quick. But here is how it works. You order your broth selection an some premium proteins online. The rest is pretty much self service from the various refrigerators. Seafood, beef tendon, beef with cilantro, gizzards, plenty of mushrooms, and veggies. You select what you want and take it back to your table and immerse in the broth. Feels very cafe style which I just enjoyed. Totally a find. I will be back.

However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.

Pork dumplings: there's a bit of Szechuan spice in the vinegar sauce. Pork meat was nice and juicy. Dumpling skin was thin enough but held the dumpling together. Great dish to share! I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The noodles had the perfect bouncy texture, the pork was super tender, and the bok choy added a nice crunch that helped balance the richness of the broth. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good noodles Mian is definitely worth checking out!!
