The best Sichuan food in this area. Very authentic, good amount of portion enough for 2-3 people for one dish. Definitely will go back to try other dishes. Hope they don't change chef.

The fried chicken was a crowd favorite, and anything with flower pepper really stood out with bold, numbing flavor. Tried pork ear for the first time, and it was surprisingly good--nicely seasoned with chili oil and had a great texture. We also had lamb, spicy roasted fish, tofu, and a variety of vegetables--everything was well-executed and full of flavor. Great spot for sharing dishes and trying something new.

I should've taken this gesture immediately as an unwillingness to seating us. I responded with no, party for 2, and another lady comes running over and says "but we close at 9" in which I responded, I'm well aware, but can we still order? they both responded with yes so i said okay can we seat? in which she responded with again, "but we close at 9." really not sure what's up with the people running this restaurant, but if you don't want the business or if you just want to close earlier, then do that. there are plenty of sichuan places in the SGV (and quite honestly probably better tasting) than this place. take your business elsewhere. PS - also seeing recent yelp reviews about trending terrible service, please just run from this place. if they don't want your business, don't force your time and money down their throats. i'm not interested in eating bloody chicken anyways.

We were pleasantly surprised that the lunch AYCE price was $25/person. They have a self service model for most of the meats/veggies/noodles as well as the sauce bar. You can also order appetizers and thinly sliced meat through their QR code. There were some snacks near the sauce bar such as freshly fried mantou and shrimp chips as well as bing fen and fresh fruit for a refreshing end of the meal treat. Everything was super fresh. The meatballs and beef belly were especially good and the spicy broth had the perfect amount of spice and flavor to it. I definitely would come here again to eat! One of the items that you can order has a peanut topping on it and the host was considerate to notify us about it. Upon hearing that one of our party members was allergic to peanuts, they came back with some freshly made without the peanut on it. Such wonderful service.

However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.

I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The noodles had the perfect bouncy texture, the pork was super tender, and the bok choy added a nice crunch that helped balance the richness of the broth. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good noodles Mian is definitely worth checking out!!

We usually come for the Chengdu zhajiang noodles, but also added on some cold apps and they didn't disappoint. Although still very spicy, the tofu with century egg dish had a calming effect to it that helped relieved some of the spices. Service was surprisingly great for a Chinese restaurant, and they were both attentive and efficient. Would definitely return again.

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"

Tofu rice noodles with pork - I guess I was expecting this to be soup but turns out it is soupless. It's very oily. The pork tasty but extremely salty. Tofu is decent but the sauce used isn't my favorite. I don't know how to describe it, but it is somewhat like a bean paste type. Yunnan style fried rice noodles - this was so good but oily as well. There is wok taste. No meat but is good without any. I think some sort of preserved vegetable is used for the sauce. Yunnan style beef jerky and egg fried rice - this was really good when it was hot but once it got cold the beef was not eatable. It had this gamey taste similar to lamb. Overall portions are decent but it is too greasy and service makes it very undesirable for me to return.
