We usually go to panda when we don't know what we want to eat. The last 3 times we have gone at approximately 8pm. We are asked what we would like and my husband said a 2 item plate with half chow main and half fried rice. She advised him that they were out of rice and asked did he want to wait. Of course he said yes. She then asked what entrees he wanted and she proceeded to put those items in the to go tray. We assumed the rice and chow mean would be ready shortly. Well it was another 20 min till it was ready. My hubby told the girl that the entrees were surely cold by now and she said no they weren't because she put the container on the hot food tray. Well of course when we got home our food was ice cold and not fresh at all. I don't understand how they run out of stuff and they don't start a new batch. Obviously every plate typically gets rice or chow main or both. I think we will find another go to place. read more

It's Panda Express...Just like all the others. Consistent food quality, portions and service. The only down side is that sometimes the line is long, and you have to wait for them to cook things when they run out. Nothing earth shattering. I feel guilty eating here because I would rather support local business. Nevertheless, I keep coming back because the food is always fresh (since it's busy) and consistent (because they have specific recipes to follow.) This restaurant is always good if you want quick, greasy Chinese food... Orange Chicken is a favorite along with Kung Pau Chicken; you can get half chow Mein and half rice, either fried or steamed. If you order something spicy like the Kung Pau be sure to have some rice to soak up the spicy sauce... My tip is also to get something sweet, something spicy and something savory... The line gets pretty long. I've been to a lot of crappy panda express and I never go back to them. But this panda express actually cooks the food right there. Nothing is dry or been sitting there too long. I'm guessing the food doesn't sit there too long cause a lot of people go there. The weekends it gets really really busy there. Weekdays I've only seen it packed during lunch. The customer service is awesome. Very friendly. I order the fried rice with a side of kung pao chicken and a side of mushroom chicken. Taste great. The employees behind the counter were very helpful and especially patient with the customers in front of me as I was standing in line. The food is always freshly cooked, served hot, and tasty. The young men cooking were working in a productive manner and anticipating the needs on the food line. My husband and I eat at this restaurant or order take out at least 3 times a month. This place has just let me survive in Turlock when I crave Chinese food. It's not gourmet, but the taste is great. You never get old reheated food like in some other places...YUCK! Me and my wife arrived 35m before closing and right off the bat, the first girl to help us had a huge attitude with me and my wife asking simple questions about the food options. They quickly rushed through our order as if to throw the food together without any care. We looked past that and just wanted to enjoy our sit down meal. With the excitement of seeing our colleagues dining there as well, my wife unfortunately forgot her phone in the booth we were sitting in and did not realize until we were almost home. In a panic I called one of the aforementioned colleagues to help us in the search as we made our way back. When we arrived, Panda refused to let us in to search our booth and surroundings for the phone due to "Closing Procedures". The girl that came out surprisingly was just as rude as the previous that helped us in line. With blatant attitude she began to raise her voice at me when I requested to look in the trash just in case. Trying to keep my composure, she threw the full trash in front of me as if to tell me "start digging." I proceeded to ask her for gloves and by her facial reaction you would have thought I asked her to go the extra mile and then some. I've never seen a deeper eye roll. As she left to find me gloves I glanced over and saw the phone and gestured to the workers its location. She quickly rolled her eyes in annoyance and grabbed the phone to give to us. Just when I thought it wasn't humanly possible, she mustarded up from the depths of her soul what remaining attitude she had left and threw the phone into my hands as I reached out for it. I said thank you so much with sincere gratefulness and she again rolled her eyes and shut the door. In the years I've lived here I regularly frequented this Panda and I've never felt like so much of a burden to the staff. Panda Express Worst Customer Service Ever!! Online order, gave is a pick up time to choose we code 3:45, ordered 2 meals plus a kids meal, said due to a problem it will be 4 pm, after we put in my credit card info it said due to a PROBLEM AGAIN, 4:15 PICK UP... stop at 4:15, after we got frozen yogurt, go to get order, its not ready, they didn't get an online order, we show them on our phone the order, they can't find it, so they will make it if we can show them our bank statement where it charged us. Even though their app showed where we paid! So now we have to get in line and order then pay Again... The girl was so rude,we should have left..... But my daughter really wanted panda... going to my bank tomorrow, to see if we were charged twice. And on line ordering is a joke!! Also a elderly gentleman, on oxygen asked for napkins, the girl at the register told someone washing dishes, who took her time and never gave him napkins... so my 9 year old got them and took them to him! Fast food Chinese that costs more than traditional Chinese cuisine and lacks quality. Why does anyone go here?

Personally I would have never came here if my friend hadn't dragged me here and I have good reasons to steer clear of this place. First of all, Chinese food as fast food, me thinks not. The orange chicken lacked sauce so it looked very dry and very unappetizing. The honey walnut shrimp...gosh it tasted like straight mayonnaise without the sweetness that walnut prawns sauce usually has. I am SO disappointed in this place. I used to love eating here but now I don't think I'll ever go back. I ordered teriyaki chicken and when they were cutting it up for my order I noticed the first chicken breast was completely raw inside so instead of getting a new cutting board she just proceeded to cut a new piece of cooked chicken right on top of the spot where she cut the raw piece. For fear of cross contamination and getting sick I asked the manager to switch it out for a different entree. He barely apologized and went to make me a new plate and didn't even give me the right order. Extremely disappointing if I could give 0 stars I would. I always see bad reviews about the employee Maria and I just wanted to say that whenever I go in she is always very friendly. Mind you, I always go to panda and I have seen customers be extremely rude to the employees. I just want to say that I have seen a change in her, some advice I would give to her is to not let these rude customers get to her. I myself have worked in fast food and know how it is. Some customers come in thinking employees are less than them simply because they work at fast food. This goes to all the panda employees, you guys are doing great and I have seen a change. Reward your employees because of all the pandas I have gone to, Turlock seems to be the busiest and it seems to be the one with the most rude customers so far. As a frequent customer the past couple of years, I have to say that this location has improved, and it has been a pleasure to watch. The food is consistently delicious each time and day I go. The service is excellent, and I've enjoyed talking to the employees each time I go. It is busy, certainly, but well worth the wait. They are well stocked, and when they do run out of a dish, they bring it to your table promptly, usually within five minutes or so, even with a line trailing toward the door. They are happy to tell you about their products and give you a sample, and if something isn't right, they fix it quickly and patiently. I highly recommend this location! read more

I am a fan of Panda Express and enjoy their menu selections. I usually visit the location in Ceres. For my visit on Monday February 23, 2015 I made the mistake of visiting the Turlock location. I usually order the Eggplant Tofu but they were out. So I opted for the panda bowl with mixed veggies and string bean chicken. Well, the amount of veggies in my bowl was so meager I commented on it to my server and she said that they were cooking more and that I could wait about 4 minutes and I could more added to my bowl, so I waited, then when it finally arrived they were out of string bean chicken and I had to wait again. At least they had everything my son wanted to eat without waiting or being "out". Lastly my total was $12.42 I gave her $12.52 expecting to get a dime back. When she keyed in my payment she put in that I gave her $12.77. Then when it came time to give me my change she looked at me with a blank look and closed her drawer saying "Ops, I don't owe you any change". I said "well actually you do owe me a dime but it's ok". I was literally speechless. It's not like I am worried about the 10 cents, but to be so obtuse about it was just unbelievable. Finally, when I arrived home I discovered they forgot my spring rolls. I would say that Panda Express has done for Chinese food what McDonald's has done for hamburgers. Simply put, commercialized it and made it pretty much a household name. Now having said that, do I still love the food and crave it at 2am when I get out of work and wished that it was open like 24 hrs a freakin' day?.......hell to the yes!!! Today is my daughters birthday and she chose Panda Express for dinner. When I told the young lady at the register, she asked Tou So if they do anything for birthdays and he laughingly said, "I can sing to you." My daughter said she'd take it so after he was finished helping the customers in line, he gathered three of the other staff members and they all sang happy birthday to her. She loved it. So I just started going to Stan State, and have been trying different restaurants from time to time. I was feeling some panda for lunch today, so I looked it up and found this one. I was reading through reviews about how long you have to wait and how the food is bad, and people giving this place one star and whatnot; but I thought you know, maybe these people just have no idea what they're talking about (since ive been to places with bad reviews and they were actually good). So I decided to give this a shot. Can't lie, these other reviews were pretty accurate. Had to wait about 10 minutes for my food even though There was only one person ahead of me. Of the 20+ pandas Ive been at, they always got the food ready to go but I guess not here (maybe just came in at a bad time?) Either way, I got my food and well, someone forgot their seasoning kit at home or something. Eating the rice and chow mein was like drinking water, tasteless. Apart from the water noodles, something was off about the beijing beef, but the orange chicken was okay. Most of the food was slightly undercooked as well. Whoever makes the food needs to simply be fired or just retrained. Best part of my meal was the few pieces of red bell pepper that come with the beijing beef. Overall, worst panda ive ever been to hands down. Food was still edible. Oh, I forgot to mention I hadnt eaten in over 12 hours and was quite hungry, where generally anything for food would taste great, so cant imagine if I didnt have a big appetite. read more

As we waited i watched the gal continually talk and joke around with fellow employees. A little grab a.. when things are slow is good for team morale and can be positive but this was in the middle of a rush when they were in the weeds and ignoring customers standing there waiting. Finally after being ignored the lady in front of me finally said "excuse me but id like to order now" the one employee rolled her eyes at the other and half pointed at the customer as if to say can you believe this!? I will say the second employee had the decency to look embarressed and didnt encourage the first one. Finially after not getting the response she was looking for she turned back and said "ok, I'm ready now" her whole attitude was one of she as doing the customers a favor by taking our order. I got busy talking to my girls when my attention was again drawn back to the counter and the employee was saying "its not my fault, you can always go somewhere else". while the lady in front of me was a little abrupt she in no way deserved the attitude she got. I grew up in a family business and was taught that while the customer isnt always right they are always the customer. when we ordered she wasnt as nasty with me but her attitude was far from what I would allow any of my employees to have in view of my customers. when we got home we were short a couple items and had one we didnt even order. Was their earlier today with my friend to eat dinner and was very upset with the customer service, one of my entrees was orange chicken and the other one was teriyaki chicken, when the worker poured my orange chicken i noticed she didn't put that much so i kindly asked her if she could put some more and she reply's with " sorry we have a one scoop policy, if you want i can give you a small side for 1.50" i then told her that their was not one scoop worth of orange chicken in their and she proceeds to open my entree and show me. At that point i was about to ask for the manager, but i was in a hurry to leave to i let it go, she then also asked me if i wanted my sauce on top for my teriyaki chicken and i said yes. When i got home and opened my entree to eat, i noticed their was no sauce on my teriyaki chicken and they had not given me a side of sauce either. At that point i knew it was time to leave a review, this is not the first time I've had problems with this location. It also seems to always have long lines and the workers just try to get you through as fast as possible, which in turn causes them to make mistakes and or forget something. Not only has panda increase their prices recently but they also put less and less food in your plate each time. I remember couple years ago they would fill your plate up so much that i wouldn't even finish it all. The have lowered they're serving size so much that these days I'm able to finish my whole entree and still be somewhat hungry afterwards. I use to love panda and go their a lot but because of experience like these id rather take my business elsewhere if there not willing to give me a few extra pieces of chicken and lose an loyal customer over that. read more
