When we left the store and headed home we found out that they forgot 2 of the entrees we ordered after making us wait 15 minutes for our food. One of the plates just straight up had an empty slot in it. I go to Panda Express a lot and the least I can expect is for my order to be right, this has literally never happened at any other location. Charged $35 but only got around $20 of food. It was our first time at this new location in Waikele (next to Kunio & party city) and it was convenient since we wanted a quick bite while shopping but the food wasn't that great. I don't think the standard orange chicken was cooked long enough. The chicken wasn't raw, but the breading tasted like uncooked flour to me. Maybe it was over floured/breaded but I couldn't eat it after a few bites. I also had the 5-spiced shrimp and my fault for not sampling it, I found it to be too sweet. When I looking in the window while passing by I needed to take a second look at the name of this restaurant...really Panda Express?? And it has a Tea Bar?? I didn't even know what that was but I had to try it. They have your typical Milk Teas and boba but also have some pretty unique items like red bean freeze, sea salt coffee, lava flow freeze, and taro freeze. You can even substitute soy and almond milk here! I admit, I was pretty skeptical still and was expecting the quality to be mediocre...but to my surprise, it was actually pretty good! I mean it's not your Tea Time or TasteTea quality but still I was impressed for it being a Panda Express. And it's so close to my house so perfect for just satisfying my quick milk tea cravings. I think this is my new favorite location, mostly cause they have a Tea Bar :P it's nice and modern inside but not too much seating space. But I'm ok with that since I usually get my items to go. Really great milk tea. I ordered the creme brûlée milk tea which was a regular size with 50% and it was probably one of the best milk teas I ever drank. The server was also great and she allowed me to taste the flavor as she put more of the powder in. The servers are always friendly an offering samples. They let us get half veggies and half fried rice, which I greatly appreciate! Normally pandas has a little more space for in dining but it was more like a ramen bar type of space if you know what I mean. Servers were really nice. I eat at Panda's from time to time, but it's not my favorite place to go for Chinese food. It was my first time at this location in Waikele. Pandas has oily food. Yup. When I do come here, I do half-n-half for the starch like fried rice and chow mein/funn. Today at just did a panda bowl (~$8). 1 starch, 1 entree. I got chow funn and chicken and mushroom. It was a bad choice to do chow funn because it was super oily and it made my chicken and mushroom even more oily. (I didnt finish my food...) I like their chicken and mushroom though, and their steamed fish and honey walnut shrimp. My Mom had white rice and beef and broccoli. Usually I like their beef and broccoli, too but their beef tasted a bit dried out today... I got their almond black tea (milk tea) with tapioca in a regular size. It was ok, nothing special. Server was great however! Greeted immediately. The worker asked if we wanted samples, she made sure we knew our choices and informed us on which food costed a dollar more (ie steamed fish, shrimp, etc). Inside is really clean, some seating, and nicely decorated. Parking is limited esp during lunch/dinner but there's parking right across and you can just walk. So parking is not a problem. read more

This is my second time not being satisfied. Today, I ordered mushroom chicken and grilled teriyaki chicken. Normally they ask for the teriyaki chicken sauce either be in a little plastic container or on the the chicken but today I didn't get any sauce. Additionally, if the order is to go, it should automatically have the forks and napkins or what ever it needs to eat the damn food in the bag , instead the customer had to make sure they get their utensils! Typical Panda Express fare, which, really, I can never complain about. I love Panda Express. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted upon walking into the door. Two items that we wanted, they didn't have, so they made some fresh for us in a timely fashion. When we went, it wasn't very busy. There was only one other table that had occupants. That being said, I wouldn't exactly say that they were too busy to not have spent some time cleaning the dining area. Every single table had rice, noodles, or some sort of sticky sauce on it. Pretty gross. Minus two stars for me having to wipe down my own table. If it weren't for the Tea Bar, I would be giving this place 3 stars. Luckily for this location, this unique add on adds back a star, so I'll settle at a 4 star review. I think the Tea Bar is a neat add on. Enjoy local favorites such as Thai tea or a Taro ice blended. You can customize with honey boba, etc., also with how sweet you want your drink. There were free samples by the counter to try out the Taro tea and Red Bean tea...yummy! The Panda Tea Bar at this location is the bomb! Various different fruit infused teas, milk teas, and freezes (frozen shake)! It is amazing! This location is a small pandas not much room to sit down and eat, but we always come here for the panda milk tea!!!! Never a disappointment! Although today, there was a rule worker that gave me a lot of attitude.

I hardly ever go to Pandas but this one recently opened up and wanted to try it out since its something different in the mall. You could tell that they just recently opened because it was crowed with people and all the food in the display case was gone. But you could tell them what you wanted and it was cooked to order. I did wait for my order but not as long as waiting for Starbucks and McDonalds. Also the service was much friendlier than those places and the portions were way bigger than other Pandas i've been too. This location also features a Milk Tea bar. I think its the only one in this area and its a great alternative than starbucks. I might be back soon! read more

Upon entering the store, I was cheerily greeted by a server at the food line. I was instantly offered a physical sample of a food item. It was the 5-flavor shrimp and was delicious with good sized shrimp. At checkout I couldn't hear a question asked by the cashier and she cheerfully repeated it. Very kind and patient crew all around. The Shanghai angus steak is also very tender with good size beef pieces. Then I got to taste 2 free samples of their custom teas. The lemon mango was delicious so left with that also. Altogether my 2-entree meal w/fried rice and tea drink came to $15.70. After being asked to make a round up donation to CMN Hospital, the final bill was $16.00. Really tight squeeze getting into and out of the place especially when there is a line. That line is created by the fact that they don't call for more food right away and they wait until the last scoop is taken. This creates the line domino effect. I pity the one that ends up with the scraps because they are in a rush and don't have the time to wait. My boyfriend and I like coming here for the Tea Bar! The last time I came I ordered the signature Milk Tea and it tasted like burnt popcorn.. Not sure what happened because the previous time it was pretty good. But I added A LOT of sugar in it when I got home so it wasn't that bad. I LOVE getting the wintermelon boba milk tea. I'm usually picky on my wintermelon flavors, but the Tea Bar is great! They offer a stamp card so thats pretty cool. This place was confusing when I came in lol. One side was to purchase like drinks from the tea bar and he other was to order food. I thought the line started the other way to order food but right when you walk in, that's where you order your food. The only downside about this place is that when it's busy, there is not enough tables & chairs. Wish they had like a small dinning area outside. The walk way to get your food & then get out can get pretty cramped. & also, the chow mein had too many lettuce in it like the ratio with noodles & lettuce was too much lettuce & a little of noodles. read more
