We all know Panda Express is not authentic and to those who think it is, well you're out of your mind and probably should take a trip to Hong Kong sometime in your life. After blowing all my money at Target ( can't say I feel guilty) my hunger pains kicked in and I wanted something fast and Panda Express is across the street and I haven't had it in a couple of years so why the hell not? I get there two hours before closing on a Sunday and it is PACKED. I counted 15 people in front of me but the service was actually good. I waited in line for about 10 minutes which isn't bad. The last time I had orange chicken at the Gateway location it was cold and hard but here it was nice, hot and juicy! Maybe I got lucky and they cooked up a new batch right before I got there or possibly their cook is a little better than the Gateway Mall location? I guess it's a mystery. They have new menu items which are the following: *Sweet chili chicken breasts *Angus peppered steak *pacific chili shrimp I'm a bore and I don't like change so I got what I got two years ago which is orange chicken and noodles. This combo IS my comfort zone but my mom being the adorable yet indecisive woman she is, decides to order what seemed like half the menu. I was able to try the following from her order: Walnut shrimp: most will like this but I've had way better. It doesn't come with broccoli like it would otherwise at a restaurant and the batter was soggy. Angus peppered steak: very tender which is great but lacking in flavor. Where is the seasoning? Beijing beef: sweet and not at all spicy like it states but I liked it. Rice and noodles: Meh. That's all I can say. If you're looking for your asian fix and don't have the time nor money to go sit down and order or if your pallet is simply dead then come to Panda! I was hungry but I only at about 15% of my entire entree. Don't you just love fake Chinese food? You think you're full then an hour later you're in the fridge finishing the leftovers ;) If you want a little more flavor I suggest asking for chili oil on the side. It's free! Parking is a pain. The chow mein was dry. The service was horrible!Ordered teriyaki chicken and was told it would be a few minutes. Over 30 minutes later there was still nothing. Apparently they'd made a whole batch and gave it all on an order that came in after (so much for first come). After finally getting attention from the workers of the extreme wait we were offered simply a different item or to wait another 8 minutes (getting close to an hour at this point). I wish I could give negative stars for how we were treated. We will NEVER be coming back to this Panda again, and possible avoid others as well if this is by chance standard practice! I've visited this location on many occasions. One thing I would like to point out is the workers that run the drive through need to learn how to work a little more efficiently. They only take one order at a time leaving you hanging at the back of the line for quite some time. It's hard for me to understand why this is considering most of the food people order at this place is premade. Please add some speed to the drive through. Update: 3/21/2020 Still needs lots of work! I like Panda. It's not fine dining or authentic dining but I think it's tasty, and reasonably priced with good portions. I also find it super convenient that this location has a drive through. The drive through gets crazy busy during dinner time so don't be suprised if there's a wait. read more

Do you remember when you could go to Panda and the food didnt look like MUSH, that 'kind of' resembled orange chicken? The compartments in the styrofoam box at least looked like they tried. When you asked for sweet and sour or hot mustard, it was just in your bag!? Or, maybe a napkin? Even just one?! Cool little inventions, aren't they? The food at Panda, at least this one, has seriously gone downhill over the last little while. And it is very sad, to be honest! My 2 kids and I went there tonight. Sat in at least a 20 minute car line. No problem, IF its worth it! While ordering we were informed that there was not enough orange chicken for one of the orders. We decided to wait the 10 minutes we were told was necessary for the next batch to be cooked. My daughter also bought an extra large box of orange chicken for us to share. Of the "fresh" chicken. Ok. At the window to pay we were told that they 'barely had enough chicken for the plates but needed to wait. All of this fun was almost $40!?! Ok. They handed us a car flag and we waited. I classify Panda Express as a fast food joint. The food is OK just not great. I have eaten here many time and only because I was craving Chinese food and did not want to go into a restaurant. So for me Panda Express is a last resort for the craving. The only thing that I would not recommend is the Walnut Shrimp. If you have experienced Walnut Shrimp in a Chinese restaurant you will know what I mean. The only way I can explain it is it tastes fake to me. If I could give you negative 5 stars, I would. Anyways, I thought I'd go back and give this fine establishment another try. Yeah, I was just hungry and I don't have no kind of will power to keep me away from food that smells good. Anyways, I ordered from the drive-thru cuz I'm too lazy to park, get out, stand in line, wait, order, wait, and pay for my food inside. I got my used-to-be usual, chow mein, mushroom chicken, honey walnut shrimp (fire!) and orange chicken. I get my plate, I drive off into the sunset (it was dusk...). Get home, open up, eat some (not remembering that the last time I went there was a freakin' long piece of somebody's body hair or from their scalp, Idk) sit back, watch the BYU game (GO COUGARS! It was the first game of the season against UConn) eat some more. A couple minutes into I start getting down to the end of the chow mein, at this point I'm a little full so I just pick at the plate eating pieces here and there when all of a sudden......wait for it...........wait for it...yeah, there was a piece of hair in there staring at me waiting for me to put it in my mouth! At this point the plate was almost done and I didn't wanna be "THAT GUY" who takes an almost empty styrofoam container back to where he made a mistake and made a purchase at one of the finest Chinese fast food restaurants in the country. This place has been our go-to for inexpensive Chinese food. The food is usually pretty good, but the service isn't the best. The other night (about 5:00 p.m. on a weeknight) we stopped in. The drive through was very busy so we parked and went inside. There were no other customers at the counter to order, but there were a couple trying to pay. We were ignored for about five minutes. Then someone finally acknowledged us and said they would be with us soon. During this time there was another customer trying to pick up her order that she had placed and paid for online. There was an issue with something. She was insisting she had paid for it, and the Panda staff said payment was still due. There were four Panda employees arguing with her about whether or not the order had been paid for. Four. Employees. Arguing in front of the rest of us. In addition to the fact that their behavior looked and sounded terrible to the rest of us, no one would come to help us. None of the four arguers.
