This review is based on just the food since I've never dined in or did take out. I've ordered them through DoorDash about 20ish times and to be honest the food isn't half bad. Not the best Chinese food but it'll definitely have you full. The portion size especially their fried rice is ridiculously filling. Even for a small I can eat it for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Here are the items I've ordered. * Wonton soup- the broth is light but enough flavor not to be bland. Great for a hangover. The wonton is decent and the meat is filling. Sometimes the dough is a little undercooked but it's not a huge deal for me. 3/5 * Fried catfish- fried in cornmeal which I preferred, but not fried long enough. I like it fried hard. 3/5 * Hot & Sour soup- definitely one of the better ones I've had. The soup has a nice balance of savory & tangy. 4/5 * Fried chicken wings- fried to perfection each time and it comes hot. I usually just get the original flavor which has a Chinese inspired taste to it. The wings are also huge too like they injected steroids into them. 4.5/5 * seafood soup- not my favorite since it's kind of bland and on top of that the fish they add into the soup isn't the best quality. 2/5 * General Tso's chicken- solid, chicken isn't overcooked and the sauce has all the components (sweet, spicy, tangy, savory) to make it a good dish. 3.5/5 * Singapore Mai fun- very good, I recommend getting it very spicy. 4/5 * cheese puff- standard, nothing spectacular but it taste fine. A little oily for my liking. 3/5 * Shrimp fried rice- rice is cooked nicely, soft and fluffy. Portions are crazy huge but the rice to shrimp ratio doesn't add up. Too much rice with not enough shrimp. 3/5 Overall, I'm content with their food. Chinese food isn't my favorite cuisine but this place does a good job providing decent food and huge portions. Make sure you're hungry as heck when you order from here. I will continue to order them through DoorDash, far as dining in nah I'm good, the area isn't safe. read more

I recently ordered takeout from Panda Kitchen and it was so delicious! Their fried chicken wings are big and tasty! The shrimp fried rice & singapore Noodles were very flavorful! I ordered wonton soup and kung poa. Disappointed with both. Let's start with the soup - the broth was typical but the wontons seemed old and stale. I could barely cut them with my spoon. The meat on the inside was so chewy I couldn't eat it. Next, the biggest disappoint of all was the kung poa shrimp. I eat this dish all the time all types of places. It was so spicy that I couldn't even eat it. It was also 70% onions with some peanuts and shrimp. There were more red pepper flakes than anything. The nice lady at the front mentioned they are new ownership which started at 2018 - which explains the review is kind of whatever and I was not sure about this place. However, now whenever I do visit Houston, this is a must go take out spot that I frequently visit. Food- 5/5 The meat they use seems to be high quality for the price being. I did not expect too much as this isn't a fancy area (near Chinatown). I always get the chicken wings in spicy garlic flavor while my boyfriend would go for the hot buffalo or general tso. We also always get the mongolian beef because the meat quality is nice. Their tofu is bomb, not too soft where you can't pick it up and not too hard where it is like too grossly deep fried. You can taste the fresh oil that is used and that is really important to me because it means healthy. I also love their hot and sour soup, it's very authentic and hits the spot with spice. I usually cannot handle food that are too spicy, but this one is totally acceptable and mild. This is not a place to dine in, would only recommend for take out. They deliver for only few bucks, which is way cheaper than me ordering take out from grubhub. Highly suggest when you have family party or just hung over and too lazy to cook. read more

I have learned that in 2018 this restaurant went under new ownership and management. I can see why the reviews before that time were completely horrible and most likely accurate. I cannot comment further on that because this is a completely new restaurant and deserves a proper and current review. I personally think this place is great. They package the food so carefully and they always give you a bag with sauces . My food is always hot and fresh. Everything I've had has been really good. Great Service . I came here in 2017 and had an awful experience. Decided to try this place again since I was in the area and saw that there was a new owner! I've got to say I was impressed. The egg rolls were light and crispy. Had lots of filling and came with this sweet sauce. The fried wings were to die for. That crispy exterior and juicy interior had me itching for more!! I ordered twice in one week. It was so good. The first time I went through GrubHub. There is a $15 minimum, but I got a lot for my money- Curry Chicken, 2 pork egg rolls & cheese puffs. The curry sauce is thin and light, with just enough spice. The cheese puffs were filled well and the egg roll was perfect. I called in an order yesterday. The lady was very nice. She let me know that the grubhub orders were their delivery driver and would always arrive at an optimal time. I left off the egg rolls last night with my order because I didn't have a minimum. So I guess you could say I'm a "regular" here even though I've never physically been to the restaurant. This is my boyfriend's and mine favorite place for Chinese delivery. Ordered from this restaurant about 5 years ago and didn't like it, but found it on BeyondMenu and read all the Yelp reviews and thought I would give it another shot (since Express Wok closed). I had to call the restaurant and the lady was very nice, delivery came 30 mins early and driver was very kind. Some of the food looked good,some did not. General Joe's looked good, but every piece I bit into was dark meat (like leg meat, not thigh) with skin on and was mainly dough and grissle. Maybe they got too busy to clean it well, but it turned my stomach. The fried dumplings were ok, but no taste and the sauce was awful (normally my favorite part). Wonton soup tasted like bland salty water. The wontons were twisted like crab puffs, so way too doughy in the middle and not at all like a traditional shape or thin. The ONLY good thing was an egg roll, which I am sure they bought frozen. No red sauce, just a packet of duck sauce. Ya'll, I eat a lot of Asian food (lived off Bellaire most my life) and this is hands down the WORST Asian food I have ever had. Now I get that whole no refund thing! I was treating myself tonight and it ruined my night. I literally threw up while eating it and $26 worth of food I threw away. Hi I have order for over year from this restaurant and never had a issue with my food being delivered neatly and clean. But on today when my food was delivered all of my sauce was at the bottom of the bag and all my food was spilled over and container was soaked in wasted sauce. When I contacted the manger instead of him wanting to make a customer happy he told me they would have to come pick up my wasted order and deliver me a new one and that they would no longer do business with me anymore. It was not my fault that the driver was not successful at delivering my food and if this is the customer service that they are giving it might be best that I no longer do business with this establishment in the future. read more
