There were many food options including a fantastic buffet. There is even a non-smoking portion of the casino. Island View is connected by an indoor pedestrian bridge to nonsmoking Beach View Casino which is on the beach. It is all one big resort. Island View is convenient to other Gulf Coast attractions. I love walking out to the beach and taking my daily walk for exercise from the resort. The rooms are nice. We did not win this trip, nor did we lose much. Better luck next time! We love traveling from San Diego to the Mississippi Gulf Coast at least once a year. Give it a try. You will love it!

I had a slice of lemon meringue pie and it was hot. I spoke with a manager to point out our displeasure and he told us he would address it. I told him it was unbelievable that their people would put this food out knowing how it was. The highlight was our server she did an excellent job so kudos to her. It'll definitely be a long time we before we return, we definitely like their Dock Side Deli restaurant. Kudos to Island View Casino's social networking specialist Lilly G, for taking the time to address our concerns I'll definitely let the group know, and that we might consider revisiting the buffet again at a later date to see if they've stepped up their food quality.

Overall, this was a BAD eating experience. All the food tasted cheap and had that "generic asian buffet" taste...those of you who eat at a lot of asian buffet's will know what I'm talking about -nothing was really good and nothing stood out and the food tasted like most crappy and cheap asian buffet's around the country. Their creamy shrimp had a weird doughy breading that was just plain weird..it was not delicious like the creamy shrimp served at the Royal Buffet on Hwy. 49. Their steaks were tough and hard, the beef and broccoli practically had no flavor, their spicy chicken tasted like someone poured a pound of sugar in it, the roast beef looked as it it had been left out in a desert and was so dry and overdone looking nobody even touched it, the boiled shrimp looked dirty and unwashed, and most of their seafood just looked really bad to the point nobody would even touch it. I had high hopes when I read here on Yelp that they had a good Sushi selection, but I was really disappointed not only in the sushi but in the sushi chefs. They had two sushi chefs working, one who wore a hat and glasses, and another who did not. The one without the glasses & hat was just plain rude, as I asked him for some eel sushi (which was on their menu but none to be found on the sushi display) and he looked at me as if I was bothering him. When I asked him again for it (hey, if I'm gonna pay over 13 dollars for a meal you better believe I'm going to get what I want) he very quickly grabbed some rice, threw a piece of eel on it then put it on the display. So I stood their waiting for more, and he again looked bothered and did it two more times. At this point I just grabbed some other sushi roll pieces and went to my table, a little annoyed at this guys behavior -this is NOT the way to treat customers. Most of the rolls were decent tasting, nothing was really special nor grabbed my attention, and they only had a handful of roll varieties, much less than their advertised "20 or more" varieties, they only had about 5 on display at a time. However the main problem with the sushi was that the sushi chefs were making them as if on Valium..they took so long to get them done (I make sushi at home, so I know how long it should take) that people would just give up waiting for them and move on to the crappy cooked food. After I finished my few pieces of sushi, I went back to the sushi chef and specifically asked him to give me 6 pieces of salmon and 6 pieces of eel without the rice, so as to speed things along and he could just throw them on my plate -he refused and just pointed at what was on display as if to say I had to get what was their or tough luck. At this point I told him "I called your restaurant before I came here and they told me you had this available all the time" to let him know that I wasn't going to put up with his crap anymore and wanted my damn sushi. After I repeated this 3 times and didn't move, he just threw 3 pieces of salmon on my plate and pretended he didn't hear me say I wanted 6 pieces, nor did he give me any eel. At this point I was so disgusted with his attitude I just went back to my table, ate my 3 pieces of salmon and decided never to come back to this dump. The dessert's were pretty awful as well. As for the decor of this place, there was none and it felt and looked really cheap, except for the 4 flat panel TVs on the walls that at least gave you something to look at. The only saving grace about this place was the helpful and friendly wait staff. To make matters worse, my husband woke up in the middle of the night sick to his stomach from this food. Save yourself the trouble and heartburn of eating at this place. Personally, if I want a decent asian buffet I will eat at Royal Super Buffet, off Hwy. 49, but never again will I visit Poop Palace..excuse me..Panda Palace. read more

The food was good but as I was leaving there was a man in front of me trying to pay for his food and told them he was a senior citizen. This man was 85 years old and looked his age! He was the sweetest little man I have ever met. The woman at the register was so rude to him! She said, well you should have asked for the senior discount when the hostess seated you. Now you can't have the senior discount. He said I didn't know I was suppose to. She said "OH WELL YOU KNOW NOW". I have never seen someone treated so poorly. Then he was walking away with his cane and I walked up to pay and she said "THAT'S WHY I DON'T LIKE OLD PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE A**". I paid and then was walking out and the man held the door open for my son and I even though he was walking with a cane. When we got outside I asked the man if I heard her correctly and she would not give him the discount. He said "YES BUT A VERY INTELLIGENT MAN SAID ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE AND SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND". He also said "I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE ASKED BUT I DIDN'T KNOW". I told him I was so sorry he was treated this way and no one should be treated this way. He was a veteran in the war and he said he was trying to tell her this and she told him she did not care. I called the manager and told her what happened and she laughed and said "WELL HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR HIS DISCOUNT AND I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHAT THESE YOUNG KIDS SAY". I told her she did not sound sorry because she was laughing and that is what is wrong with the world today. People like her and her staff that disrespect the older generation and nothing is ever done. I will never in my life eat at this place again. She did not care what was said nor that one of her staff members not only disrespected an elderly man but also a VETERAN! There is no reason anyone should be treated this way! Some people treat animals better than they do elderly people but what goes around comes around. This place has pretty awful chinese food. The menu is pretty small, and the food is really processed, as in, it tastes like it came out of a freezer bag or container instead of being cooked in the back. The seafood looked overcooked and is over-seasoned. The boiled shrimp was small and wasn't kept cold enough. The roast beef was dry and tough. The "steaks" didn't taste like steak and were mainly fat. The noodles were starchy and super oily. The chicken dishes were just gross. They offer sushi, but the weird thing is that even though they had different sushi rolls, they all tasted the same! And their sushi chefs are incredibly rude. If you ask them for anything they make you feel like you are bothering them -definitely not nice. Last but not least, they use young asian girls as wait staff who cannot speak good english and are hard to understand, and most of the time these girls are so busy gossiping together you have to flag them down for anything. My friends warned me not to come to this place, and I also read some awful revues on Yelp about it, but I had to see for myself if it was as bad as what they say it is -and sadly it is. Their food is good, I am very upset and will never go back there and I hope if you read this you will never go there either. Tonight a blind man with a seeing eye dog came to the restaurant. Another table complained to the hostess that they had a dog allergy and the hostess asked the Blind man to move. She stood there and argued with the blind man over this for a while and she was extremely rude about it, she then grabbed the manager and now there was the manager, a server, and the hostess all asking the blind man to move to the back of the restaurant!!!! I couldn't believe it and everyone was staring. I finally stood up and told the Manager that by law you could not treat this man any different then anyone else and their were NO laws protecting people with allergies and that he should be at their table apologizing saying there is nothing he could do. They finally left the man alone, unbelievable!!!! The blind man later told my husband he appreciated what his wife did and told him he was a veteran who was blind to his service in Iraq 4 years ago. You dine at your own risk when going to either of the Panda Palace locations on the coast. They have been closed by the health department numerous times over the years because of pest infestation and unsanitary conditions. Just driving by this place smells of rotting garbage. The owners/managers just got sentenced in federal court. They need to shut both of these places down for good. The D'iberville location may be worse than Gulfport. There should be warning sign required on the entry doors. Absolutely disgusting! read more

We are vacationing from Indiana and decided to go here for dinner and we where not disappoint the food was wonderful. But Michael our server was absolutely amazing he took his time and told us about places to see while we are here and gave places that where kid friendly & responsed so friendly to my children as well . My family and I have eaten here for years but will likely never eat here again. The Quality of the food has gone way down over the years. The sushi was clearly several hours old and had lost all flavor. The crab legs were tiny, mushy and flavorless. I don't even want to give this business a 1 it's the worst restaurant that I have ever been to, they had a roach crawling on the buffet near the food, when I pointed it out tgey laughed,knocked out off and killed it. This is a great little habachi-plus place in the local area…read more If you're reading this, you probably already know hibachi. Check in, once there are enough people for a table you get seated around a large griddle, drinks, soup, salad ... then the chef comes and entertains you while he cooks your meal. The soup options were egg drop and miso - I chose egg drop. I give it 4.5. Salad cake with ranch or ginger, I chose ranch. It was fine - nothing wrong with it, it was just a time filler. Our chef was very entertaining. He engaged each person at the table, figured out how to bring the playfulness out in everyone, and had the three separate groups interacting with each other and cheering each other and him on. It had the usual hibachi fun with dancing spatulas, spinning eggs, and an onion volcano. He also juggled eggs - with his hands, with the spatula, and with his hands and the spatula. Lots of pretend spills, and some good spatula work sticking out rice, meat, etc and bringing it back. I had the chicken. It was good - pretty much like every hibachi chicken ever. The fried rice was tasty. He also made noodles for everyone, which I don't recall at other places. I tried steak - it was a 5/5 and I'll have it next time. Shrimp were okay, but not as good as steak or chicken. Lots of mixed veggies - also very good. Servings were huge! We all had half an order left over. Service was better than good, and two birthday girls got happy birthday songs (with drums and a giant ice cream sundae)! Way better than expected and fairly priced. I'll be back!
