Panda has a big menu of traditional dishes, all are good, but I love the Brisket Pho here! Consistently clean, with a locking restroom, and enough parking near the front. Solid Vietnamese restaurant located in Rowlett. The restaurant itself is on the smaller size but they make do with their space well. Servers were polite and easing was a breeze. Food: Pork Egg rolls - solid and classic Vietnamese appetizer Panda Pho - the bowl is small but they pack it full of noodles and toppings. Stopped here when my regular spot was closed up the road on a Tuesday. 7:15PM dinner. Clean and bright dining area, albeit small. Waitress was pleasant. None of the grill items were available, apparently the grill was closed in preparation to close. Disappointing but ordered spring rolls and spicy beef soup. Shrimp in the spring rolls wasn't fresh, didn't/couldn't eat it. Soup was tasty but unfortunately someone bussing tables made it apparent it was closing time. I ended up laughing at how lucky they were not to have broken any dishes. I was surprised the waitress or manager didn't intervene. It was unpleasant enough to ask for a to go box. This is a nice little place in Rowlett. Every time we come in we have the Spring rolls and they are delicious. We've had the beef pho and Bún bò Huế. Both are top tier!!! I was so impressed at how attentive the staff was. Shortly after we sat down someone came by and gave us menus and another person served us water. The drinks with boba were delicious! I like that they have so many different flavors to choose from. We got mango slushy, pineapple slushy, honeydew milk tea, passion fruit slushy, and a mango green tea. The brisket pho is VERY good! The portion sizes are generous. The dumplings are average-- could be improved by a better dipping sauce. I did not personally like the spring rolls. My melon boba tea had too much powder (so it was thick) and not mixed well, which made it taste like you are drinking chalk. I tried their signature boba tea and it was too sweet for me. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Seating is limited if you plan to dine-in. All in all, I plan to return but only for the brisket pho. read more

While admitting I know very little about Pho. You could say "I don't know Pho"...but my tastebuds are smiling after sampling the 4B Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. I left out a couple of the soup ingredients for my newbie palate, however what remained was still great with a bit of beef/ham in every bite! I also had the Ginger tea which was very tasty. I had to let my mouth cool from the spicy bowl before fully enjoying the tea- all good. This restaurant is smallish inside (I believe it's the former Wing Pit) but nicely done. Wow! First time in a looooong time I had the Phó!!! Used to eat noodle soup every once in a while, but only twice in the ten years that I've lived here in the great state of Texas. This Pand Phó did not disappoint!! The traditional soup broth served very hot, I usually order it with meatballs (love the texture! Kinda rubbery!). Perfectly balanced and not "too" sweet but sweet enough! For the appetizer we ordered the shrimp spring rolls which were freshly made because I don't eat pork, so they made them without for me! Comes with a delicious peanut sauce that made them scrumptious! $3.5 for 2 Spring Rolls Main course was chosen due to my pescatarian needs- the Pho is either chicken or beef broth so I went with a noodle - Bun bowl with shrimp. No soup or broth but delicious with 6 grilled shrimps, lettuce, Thai basil, bean sprouts, cucumber, carrot, chopped peanuts and a light homemade fish sauce (that was so good!) $9 My fiancé had the Panda Pho Special which had sliced brisket, meatballs and tripe. He loved it! He went for the large ($1 more) and so worth it! The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were perfectly balanced. $9 for the large bowl Dessert was an Avocado smoothie with added boba For me. Not too sweet but packed with fresh Avocado- the flavor is unbeatable. My fiancé had the Mango slush with popping Mango boba. We both left full and happy and definitely ready to return!! The first thing that impressed me about the place was the efficient and attractive presentation in a very small strip mall presence. We had visited this little Rowlett treasure on the weekend. I forgot my camera - gasp - so I decided to wait to go back to take pix before I reviewed. The advantage to this is finding out if the meals are consistent. It was - it was every bit as good and it has now become one of my go-to Vietnamese restaurants. I found the egg rolls, albeit small, delicious. I could make a meal on just the eggrolls. Their Pho recipe is very tasty. The meat portion ... generous.I tend to put more hot sauce in my Pho than most people do so I have to mention, their hot sauce is excellent. I don't know if it is brand put in a container or if they make it themselves. I do know that it is delicious in the soup. The large Pho Tai is plenty. I could eat more but then I'd have to take a nap. A very nice portion. It is only a dollar more than the smaller size to I just have to go big or go home. The folks there make sure everything is OK. They asked, more than once, if I needed anything. Very pleasant people who all said good-bye as I was leaving. Bottom line - I give it the "Give It A Try" award. It is a smidge hard to find but if you go North on Dalrock from 66 you'll find it scrunched in between a doughnut shop and who knows what - they have tables and chairs outside but since it was in the 40's I chose with an inside seat. If the owners are reading this - my sincere apology. When I was signing the check I pulled out a tip. I then promptly went back to my seat to get my jacket and gloves then put the tip money back in my pocket - my bad. Was excited to find such a highly rated pho place within 15 minutes of me. The staff was nice and place was clean. However, the pho broth is lacking in flavor. The steak was really tough but the meatballs were good. I was tempted to ask for salt. It just doesn't have the deep flavors that I'm used to. My daughter wouldn't even drink the soup or eat the noodles. She just picked out some meat from her bowl and was done. Boba was watered down as well as I didn't get a tea taste. It was just sweet. Probably won't come back. I'll drive further out to get some better pho. read more

Stopped in to get my weekly Pho fix. I was in the area and decided to try this place out. The Pho is good, their broth have a hint a sweetness in it (sweeter than most) which doesn't bother me. It still has the same richness and 'good feeling' taste to it soon after sipping your first spoon full of broth. The meat quality is great. The raw beef is still halfway cooked when they serve me this special combination Pho which I like because it means that they have just recently soaked that fresh cut of meat on there.
