    All The Meats Pho! All...The...Meats...!!!

First, summer is when Pho Garden must run on bare minimum staff. With kids out of school, the parents go with them to more fast food places. Having worked in restaurants myself, I am shocked at the food cost, even the bulk purchases are very high. Leases are going up, up, up. So, with kids back in school, Pho Garden is looking for some extra employees for fall / winter, their busier time of the year. Decent location, right off Horizon & I30, or from Ridge Road. Plenty of free parking near entrance. Smallish place, 20 small tables, staff can combine tables for big party. This is not Kyoto, nor Panda Xpress, it is a small traditional Vietnamese kitchen that also served Thai style dishes. I arrived at end of lunch hour, 50% capacity, and people picking up their takeout orders. I had the grilled Shrimp, and Pork combo, with steamed rice, big slices of veggies, shredded carrot & daikon garnish. This was a good plate of food, prepped and cooked properly, about $2 over similar Panda Xpres offering, and better quality. Looking foward to the cooler weather, and steaming bowls of curry, or pho! I'm sure that every table will be taken here.

I absolutely love the food! The Pho is delicious!! But beware when they are busy. I have been here about 8 times in the past 2 1/2 weeks. I've had a good experience but I've come during the week when they weren't busy. I placed a To Go order and ordered double chicken and double jalapeños .. they gave me the normal amount that I usually get with a regular order. And when I said something to them about it an attitude was caught. I've worked in the food industry for a long time so I know it can be stressful when busy but know that if you are paying for extra for something you will not get it. Other than the food is great.

I went in for a pickup order during lunch. Person at the register put her own tip in, normally I am prompted to the screen to leave a tip and this time she just did her own thing. I was in a rush to get back to work and had no time to return this. Tipping is optional and I ordered online.

    PO8 with extra veggies.

Always clean, very fresh ingredients and fast friendly service both inside and takeout. This is a Family owned business, not a chain. I have not found any better Pho near Rockwall. We stop here often and have been for years. Never disappointed!!!

Good place. Clean, fast, and friendly. The shrimp spring rolls (A02) and pork Banh Mi (B07) we're very good. The Banh Mi could have used more filling, but it was still tasty.

We ate here last night around 7. There were a couple of tables eating when we arrived. The servers were attentive, and the food came out in a decent amount of time. The decor was very basic, so it was not a romantic date type of place. It was interesting to see a very diverse menu when the name of the place gives off a Vietnamese/Pho only vibe. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai Combo, and the Shaken Beef. The flavors were good, I wouldn't say the best I've had, but good enough, I would consider coming back to try other things on the menu.

I like this place but $18 for Pho??? For noodles... Really??? I asked for extra lime and siracha and was told it's an extra $2.. i feel like that's a lot for noodles and a couple extra slices of lime but paid it because I wanted soup and this is the only soup that sounded good at the time... did I get the extra lime.. no.. do I ever get extra lime without having to remind them.. no. If you order through Uber.. forget about it. Food is good but overpriced for what it is.

Thai curry. Flavorless. Do better. No cutlery provided

Horrible service. Ordered a large Thai curry. The man who handed me my order was extremely dismissive. No cutlery was given. 2/10

M19 with chicken and glass noodles. Mine is without veggies. Perfect for the picky eater

Not bad for local place on the square. Lots of options to choice in the area but this place seems to get its food and service right.

I started with the garlic edamame, Kani salad, and gyoza. The gyoza are pan fried perfectly! Some places fry them too hard or deep fry them. The kani salad is a mix of shredded cucumber, spicy crab mix with spicy mayo, and roe. I ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the Rockwall roll. The Rockwall roll is sweet with coconut shrimp wrapped, topped with spicy crab mix and coconut sauce. It's delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and intimate. Darker in the dining room with table lamps. You're not looking around the room at everyone, but more focused on just your party. I will definitely be returning to Basil Cafe more often! Overall, the food was solid with a few standout items. The spicy tuna roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The ramen was also quite good and comforting. The hibachi steak, however, was a bit of a surprise. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, but it (along with the vegetables) arrived slightly cold, which took away from the experience. The fried rice also lacked a bit of seasoning and could have used a little more flavor. While this wasn't a bad dining experience by any means, I'm still on the search for that standout spot in the area that truly checks all the boxes. That said, there are definitely some dishes here worth coming back for.

Came for breakfast for the first time today and life CHANGED…read more If you've ever been confused by the question of what you'd pick as your last meal, look no further than the sourdough breakfast panini. The amount of flavor in that sandwich from the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, to the shredded Gouda, grilled sourdough bread, tomatoes slices, and arugula will blow. Your. Mind. And once it's blown, you'll then get to pop one of the maple waffle fries that come with it in your mouth (and completely remind me of funnel cake!) and you will feel like life is complete, you have no regrets, and if it all ended today you would be able to die a happy human. Finding flavor like this (which I've only found in a few local spots like Zanatas or Fable and Fire in Rockwall) is an absolute diamond in the rough find for Fate! And after meeting the chef, Michael Shelley (who worked previously at a five star restaurant in Cali and has quite the illustrious history - go look him up!), you'll understand why flavors that you'd only expect to find down in Dallas are blowing your mind sitting at Red Dirt Social in Fate. (He also shared with us that the panini is a special recipe he created while working as a a private chef for a family and they would order it just about every other day. Trust me, I now know completely why.) My partner got the breakfast tacos and they were a totally different and just as delicious flavor palette. Packed with eggs, potatoes, bacon, veggies, and pepper jack cheese. The portions are HUGE. Where else can you find this much flavor in this much food?! I love the great seating options and the lowkey setup of picking your own table, ordering at the front when you're ready, and having it brought out to your table. Only complaint was on my partner's double chai latte where the beans were painfully over roasted and the smoky flavor overpowered the chai entirely, but some extra barista lessons needed aside, we're IN. This will for sure be our new breakfast spot (let's get honest, there aren't that many truly unique and good ones out this way if you want more than your typical diner style eggs, bacon, and pancakes) and we'll be bringing friends from out of town here as well! What a gem!

We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it!
