Emma is great, I've been having my appointment with her for the last few months, and she never disappoints. She's very tentative and spends her time with me, never rushed even though it was crowded. The dip always lasts a very long time. It's a cozy and spacious salon, I like their spa music which is very relaxing. I have to make appointment in advanced but they always manage to squeeze me in whenever I want to come in the same day. They offer free drink and has a huge selection of color. The add-ons for either mani or pedi are a nice way to customize the experience. My pedicure with the salt scrub was truly amazing- Jimmy did a fantastic job. I've been here three times- never bad but never great either. This last time was the absolute worst. I went with a friend at the very beginning of the morning but the experience was still rushed. I had two people working in my toes and hands. The woman working on my hands didn't bother to take her stool to the other side, so I had to sit with my left hand dragged across my body to the right/ very uncomfortable. Next, the woman doing the pedicure was on her phone most of the time. Both women were fairly rude. My friend was unable to get someone to show her a selection of non/gel polish. Her woman basically chose a color and started using it before my friend could agree or disagree. When I got home, color on two of my toes slid off. Not smudged/ just didn't adhere. Like no one wiped off the skin cream before applying color. Lastly, it was way more than I'm used to paying in the lamorinda area. I will never come back. read more

Our 1st time here I went with an old friend for a birthday gel mani & pedi. The workers were overall not friendly it was expensive & they have some deal about paying cash & you get a discount & encourage you to use a fee for service atm machine there that did not work. The experience was not relaxing, I had one lady poking & pulling my feet around & one pulling & re-adjusting my arms & hands on some old little pillow that the manicure bowl kept slipping on. Also, my gel nail polish was applied so thick it peeled off in 4 days. I wish our birthday Mani/pedi experience for almost $200 dollars was better but sadly it was NOT! When I saw Pandora Nail Salon on Yelp I was super excited and immediately scheduled an appointment. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and organization of this salon. For me, a big plus was that they had a receptionist so the nail technician didn't have to leave to answer the phone or greet another customer. I had my pedicure first and it was great. I was also very pleasantly surprised with the length of the foot/leg massage--10 MINUTES! Awesome! Overall great quality until I saw how unclean some of the lines were when I got home. After the pedicure I got a full set of pink and white. The technician was very fast and appeared to be doing a good job, whenever I saw anything I wanted to fix she did so and never complained. My appointment was late in the day and unfortunately their dim lighting made it so I missed the fact that multiple of my nails have hairs from the brush she was using in them. Not only that, but some of them have streaks of white from the tips throughout them and they're unevenly shaped. Really wishing there was better lighting, even if it was just over my hands, so I could have caught these mistakes. The technician was very attentive so I truly think this was an issue from the lighting in the salon. In summary: Ambiance: Nice, some dust, but overall very clean. Cute and clutter free. Love that the technicians bring the nail kits out from the back so the supplies/carts aren't just lying around randomly. Service: Pretty good! The ladies were attentive, long foot/leg massage, really made sure the dead skin was off my feet, overall pleasant experience Quality: This is where Pandora looses their stars. I honestly think that the errors were a result of the poor lighting in the salon, but I can't get over that I spent $90 for poor lines, uneven shaping, and hairs stuck in the gel on my acrylics. Rating: Solid 3 stars. I'm going to go back and give them another shot, hopefully this was just an off day. read more

I rarely post reviews, but my recent trip to Pandora warrants a review. I've never had a good experience at Pandora, and only went because my normal place was filled up for the next couple of days before my trip. Went in for a regular pedicure (that woman did a good job) and a gel manicure - the worst and most painful manicure experience. Firstly, they were extremely aggressive taking off my prior gel and sanded off way too much healthy nail. Secondly, not only did the woman leave gel paint on my skin, they didn't work on my cuticles, she also cut and filed my nails way shorter than I asked (after I've been growing them out for a bachelorette party) and she filed into my skin leaving painful serrated cuts. It's been two days and my fingers still hurt typing (I'm on a computer 7+ hours/day for work) and putting on clothes. I'm keeping an eye on them for a potential infection. Not worth $70 plus tip - never going back. Pictures included were taken about 20 minutes leaving Pandora. read more

I've been here at least 5 times for manicures and pedicures. Today, I had the usual gel polish manicure. The technician touched a few of the nails before dry and smudged them. She then blamed me saying I took my hands out of the dryer, which i didn't. She restarted the entire gel process to which includes filing/damage to nails. After nearly 2 hours we were done. I watched several customers with appointments wait 30 plus minutes as those without appointments were served. I'm not sure what to say other than, if you are providing a service; don't blame your customer if something isn't right. Will try another nail salon next time. read more

I went here for a mani and pedi for the first time recently, which by the way was for my engagement party. It took nearly 2 hours to complete because they were clearly unorganized and running all over the place to help different people at different times. The woman doing my pedicure was very thorough and detailed and kind. However, the woman doing my manicure was profoundly sloppy and made a plethora of mistakes (obviously uneven nails, overly thick paint because she kept making mistakes, not painting the top coat evenly, uneven paint on the top). She also cut way too close to my cuticle on the side and hurt my fingers three different times. I finally got so frustrated after patiently waiting for her to do her job right that I eventually stopped asking her to fix her mistakes and paid and left. It honestly looked so horrible that I didn't even take any pictures because I was so angry about it. Mind you, I had to have my engagement party with everyone looking at my nails... In short, I do not recommend this place. They need to have better management practices around not overworking their employees so that they can be on point when working, and they seemed very disorganized, and some employees clearly need support learning to be more detail oriented with their work. But largely speaking, I don't recommend going because you're likely to get a really variable experience depending on who you're working with that day. And I don't think anybody likes that kind of inconsistency when they're trying to treat themselves. read more

Clean, well ventilated and relaxing. I love working with Ellie - the best pedicures ever. The only downside is how hard it is to pick a color. They give you this terrible book, where the colors don't match what is in the bottle. I don't see why they can't have a display like other places. I generally have to describe to Ellie what I want and she finds it. I will start bringing my own, as it's a bit annoying not being able to see the colors available. read more
