This location has gone downhill over time, but I think it's an artifact of the chain just.... trying to do too much. The express pickup, for example, isn't very express, and you'll often wait 5-10 minutes extra for your food to find out it was just waiting around getting cold. I still come here, the food is still good. The ambiance is nice, and it's a convenient place to meet friends or have a meetup with a group. You just have to know exactly what you're getting into I guess, and order earlier than you might think you need to lol. read more

Just picked up stale bagel today. Last week ordered a salad with wilted lettuce and missing ingredients. I will not patronize again.

We love this store. Food is always fresh and delicious. I usually order for rapid pick up and times can be hit or miss, most of the time I am there before it's ready, depending on the time of day. Went there this morning for a quick bite to eat, while en route to work. I ordered a sandwich that I was kind of on the fence about (had avocados on it), but I decided to give it a try. Of course the picture was very inviting and I wasn't looking for the sandwich to look exactly like the post, but pretty close. However; upon getting my sandwich, I was kind of disappointed, it look like someone had just thrown my stuff on my sandwich, wrapped it up, and served it (when bread was removed). Now the actual taste of it was pretty good, I would give it another shot, just want my sandwich to not be so sloppily made. The service was okay, the cashier was someone who had just started and wasn't to familiar with the menu, but someone else did come over and assist, of which I can appreciate. We were en route to the D.C. area three days ago and we needed to get some dinner, but the Welcome Center we stopped at was charging a humongous amount of money for very little food. We looked up alternatives and it was worth driving further to this Panera, plus it's literally right off of I-95. The woman who took our order was extremely friendly, the manager (who we complimented about the woman) was also very friendly, and the food was delicious & reasonably-priced. The only issue was something we'd encountered at another Panera in MD a few months ago; one of the items we'd ordered was missing. The amount of meat on the sandwiches was ridiculous, less meat than Subway and that is pretty bad. The soup container was not full. Would have given this location a 3/5 but... So if you are visiting Aberdeen, you notice that decent food is few and far between. They have plenty of fast food locations, random diners that serve who knows what, gas stations, etc. All the good restaurants are a town away. I visited this place two days in a row because I suddenly became a Panera member (not a big fan otherwise as I don't go to Panera on a regular basis but I always take advantage of store benefits if it just means me filling out my contact info and registering) and I like getting discounts and free food lol. On both days I had to wait over 10 min for my food. It was good, but it gets annoying when you are wasting your lunch break watching everyone else eat. Didn't say anything or complain. I noticed today that Panera noticed my wait time through their systems and since I'm a Panera member now and gave me a huge $ reward for next visit. I truly enjoy coming to Panera bread since they now value clean food!! This location does well with conveying information regarding taste and portions when asked. They also do well with the presentation of the food. Sometimes the employees at the register get engaged into their own conversations, the customer is put in the position to have to wait. So I would work on getting the employees to know there a time and a place. When it comes to the speed of service from the food preparers, they have always been wonderful! No complaints! The bathrooms really need work at times. In the several times I have been it's normally dirty each time. From paper all on the floor to unidentifiable items in the sink. It makes a rather clean and decent establishment feel dirty. So I would recommend working on cleaning the bathrooms. Stopped here on a road trip to NJ for a quick breakfast. This location is probably the worst Panera bread I've ever been to (and I used to work at a Panera back in the day). The line wasn't very long yet we waited for what felt like 20 mins so I assume they're understaffed. I ordered an oatmeal and I asked if I could order it without nuts. The cashier said yes and I got my food. I was examining it just in case and there were a few nuts in it. Luckily I am not allergic to nuts but I can't imagine what would've happened if I was. They didn't even bother to ask if i was allergic (although I didn't mention it I remember being trained to ask if someone asks for an item to be removed you ask about allergies). I came here with a large group (19) and overall our experience was mediocre at best. Multiple people in the groups had issues, such as everyone who got Mac and cheese didn't think it was warm enough, the servings of Mac and cheese in the you pick 2 was relatively low, and 3 people in my group had to wait a rather long time for their food (for one order that had multiple meals, the hot meals were ready 6 minutes before the salad was). I can expect this when places are slammed with a large group, but that's what's usually great about Panera- the way they cater to big groups with a variety of tastebuds. We had a great experience at this Panera location (came on a Friday evening). Part of my rapid pick-up order was missing when I arrived, and the staff were very accommodating to remake what was missing. Even after I received my entire order, the staff followed up with me while me and my party were dining to make sure everything in our order was ok. Good Panera. Great staff. Unfortunately they were out of hummus, cheese foccacia, and medium cup lids. That is at least what I knew they were out of. The young woman who took my order was extremely friendly and informed me of what they were out of. The woman who made the sandwich told me one one of my so called friends said it was ok for my sandwich to be made on sundried tomato bread, which I don't like and have it to go when I ordered it for outside and on real plates etc. I did not have a friend with me so I am not sure what she was talking about. She also said my friend tried to take my sandwich for me, again I didn't have a friend with me, confusing. The sandwich was good and came with chips. I got a cookie for a buck because I ordered a drink, I was not told I could get a cookie for a buck with a drink though. I couldn't get a medium drink cup, no lids, so I was forced to get a large, oh well. Mac and cheese was good,, no silver ware in bag, so went back in to get some and manager said it was in bag, no it wasn't. Ate outside on patio, nice and clean. People were friendly and nice. My experience is you can't really go wrong with any of the salads. The Ancient Grains, Arugula and Chicken was no exception. The ingredients were fresh and the salad, with the citrus based dressing, was quite tasty. Combined with the quick service it was a good lunch experience. read more

I want to file a complaint about the customer service received on 3/15/22, order number 700947202 at Cafe #203766. On this day, I placed a mobile order which included a coffee tote for pick-up. I received notification via the mobile app that my order was ready for pick-up at 0810. Upon arrival at the store, I notified the cashier "Dena" that I had a mobile order and had received notification that it was ready. She informed me that she would check on the status and that it was still in progress. I waited patiently for approximately 20 minutes and proceeded to ask Dena about how much longer she thought it would be on the coffee as I was on a tight schedule. My demeanor remained understanding and well-mannered. She walked through the swing door, and I could overhear her ask a gentleman that the customer would like to know how much longer on the coffee. He then began to speak obscene language immediately, and his exact words were, "I don't give a FUCK what that BITCH wants. I will have her damn order ready whenever the FUCK I feel like it." I could overhear someone else in the back questioning him, and he kept saying, "That stupid BITCH out there." When Dena came back out front to address me, I told her she could kindly refund my order as my name was Sharnell and not that B. I. T. C. H. I explained that I overheard the entire conversation and would never return to this business as that is very unprofessional customer service, and I refuse to let anyone disrespect me. The individual expressing the vulgar language never came out. A kind gentleman named Kevin assisted in my refund and told me to take the coffee he was carrying in his hand. I inquired about the gentleman's negative and disgusting behavior and was informed he was "Antwan" and one of the managers. I also filled Kevin in on what I heard and my reason for requesting a refund. WOW! That is crazy that a "man"ager could be so distasteful in their approach to a job they chose! If you do not like your job, pick something that allows you to remain in a room and not interact with the public nor provide customer service. My office will consume Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts from here on out. The Panera Bread in Aberdeen, Maryland, will not have to worry about any of our employees picking up items for our daily morning breakfast since this is the type of behavior we could be subjected to. read more

I got off the train in downtown Aberdeen and my dad drove me straight here for lunch. The restrooms and tables were clean, and there were plenty of people behind the counter, so no one waited long for service. I tried the Summer Corn Chowder and thought it was bland and overcooked. The second part of my Pick Two, Thai Chicken Salad, was as good as always. The bread was fresh, although my dad noticed that the bagels are "bread-like" and not put in water before baking. That's okay; it was fast, friendly, mostly tasty and reliable, which was just what we needed. read more

As i walk in to order he does not greet me but rather instead he takes the time to pull his phone out and start checking himself out. It was only when i said excuse me he looked up and took my order. This kid was the most inexperienced person i've ever met i almost had to baby step him through my order. After the fact he has the audacity to call me a Karen and call me a "big back" for eating at this establishment. i was bombarded with a list and combinations of insults. When i asked this worker for his name he said something along the lines of punch made? Im not sure if this was a threat but it will not be tolerated.While i love little cesar's so dearly this male ruined it for me and i will not return. This male was african American 5'7-5'10 with his nosed pierced and a man bun. DO BETTER. Worst customer service ever. I believe he told me his name was Barry but this kid was a total buzzkill. There's a lunchtime crush where the kitchen is swamped and you just have to wait. It's busy. It's not their fault. It's just busy. The first time I came in was shortly after they opened. The people who worked there were very friendly, and even though it was crowded the service was fast and great. The food is awesome, like any other panera I've been too and I'm very happy that they opened one in Aberdeen. Today I went back again. It was quite empty compared to the first time I've been there, so maybe the buzz has warn out a bit. The food was still great. Super nice cashiers and a commitment to quality. I ordered the pick two for about $8.00. You can pick any half sandwich, cup of soup, or salad. I got the creamy tomato soup and the chipotle chicken panini. You also get a choice of a side of bread, panera brand chips, or an apple. Creamy tomato soup - YUMMY! The soup was chunky with diced tomatoes. It had a very strong acidic and vinegary taste, which I liked. It paired nicely with the sandwich. Chipotle Chicken - This was a rather small sandwich. Big pieces of tender and moist chicken were stacked between white bread. The cheddar cheese melted all over the concoction and had some great crispy bacon to add a crunch to the sanwich. Terrible breakfast ...after a 3 hour drive from Stafford...stopped for a pit stop and breakfast. Usually, I hold Panera Bread in high esteem...but I could have had a better breakfast at a truck stop. The coffee was stale and old ..and the soufle was a day old and heated up in a microwave ..gummy and lukewarm....mmm .mm...just how I like it. I felt my $9.00 breakfast didn't live up to the standards other Panera Bread stores maintain. No would have mentioned something to the manager...but he/she was nowhere to be found...and complaining to a teenag worker bee early in the morning...well we all know how that conversation would have gone. I don't quite understand the option of a side of extra bread with a sandwich lol so I opted for chips, they are included in the price which was cool. Service was fast, hardly had time to get a fountain drink and my tuna sammich was ready for pickup. Came with a pickle too but a little skimpy on the tuna salad, grr. Vegetarian rating: 3+ stars, my veggie driver brought us here specifically for the veg options which included soups and mozzarella/tomato sandwich. Not too hard to get a table but don't bring a big group at noon! From the lunch crowds here you'd think nobody else serves food near APG, but the staff seems to handle it well, except for occasionally wiping off tables, that would be nice. read more
