I am sure this will fall on deaf ears but it needs to be said anyways. The staff is incredibly rude. Very poor customer service. I came in yesterday with my two small children. They are 5 and 1. As soon as I walk up, I smile and say hello to the cashier. She's staring at me with attitude already and says they close in 30 minutes. Okay, that's still a pretty good chunk of time. I'm not trying to order as you're locking the doors. It's not the information she's providing that is the problem. It's how insanely passive aggressive it is. Just tell me you don't want my business. There's no difference. I said, okay well do you think we have enough time? She says, it would be best if I ate outside so they didn't have to be inconvenienced. It was 100 degrees at 3 pm. You want me to take my baby outside to eat in the heat where the tables and chairs burn your skin it's so hot just so you don't have to wipe off my table 4 minutes past closing? It's ridiculously rude and inconsiderate. Then, she repeated they were closing in 30 minutes over and over. Just tell people you can't take their order. I'm not sure what the point is of the passive aggression. I was so disturbed. I didn't want to deal with her attitude or deal with spit in my food so I left. I made sure another restaurant for my business. You would think people would be grateful to have a job in this economy and businesses would be happy to have paying customers in their restaurant since covid. But, all the pandemic has done is bring out the absolute worst in people. And surely this girl will get away with it. Shameful. read more

This had been my new favorite restaurant. I've ordered a couple times for delivery without issue and the food was good, however today was different. From the delivery tracking, I could see the driver was stopped in one place about a 1/2 mile from the restaurant and sat there for 30 minutes, then they picked up the food and then stopped again for another 10-15 minutes about two miles away from the restaurant. We tried calling the restaurant to see what was going on, but they do not answer their phone - called at least 20 times. An hour and 20 minutes later, we received our food. The bag had been opened and my sandwich was removed from the packaging and was laying loose at the top of the bag. The rest of the food appeared to be tampered with as well. Husband had to take the food back to the restaurant and get a refund. This is unacceptable and they have lost a customer. read more

Panera is one of my lunch go to spots when Catering to lots of different needs (different diets and taste). This Sunday friends and I ordered lunch delivered curbside. The app didn't work so I called in. The friendly clerk who answered took my order of a pick 2 including a poppyseed strawberry chicken salad and a while poppyseed strawberry chicken salad. Delivery to the care was prompt- no problem. However, whoever made the salads must have gotten interrupted and there was no chicken or pineapple included. I tried to call back but the phone just rang(it was a busy time of day so I understand). I called again this morning and they invited me back for a salad remake on them. When I arrived, the kind manager quickly remade our salads complete with chicken and baguettes and sent me in my way. Thank you Panera for the excellent customer service! read more

Sorry to say we wont be returning to this location anytime soon... Something has happened in last few weeks and service and quality of food has gone severely downhill. We come almost 2-3 times a week, in last few weeks . And last 2 times they were out of things for our favorite meals and delivery of our food was super slow. Second time tonight in fact, I had to go ask girl in front about it and turns out our food had been just sitting there under the warmer for a while as obviously our food was Cold. The last time they were out of tomato soup and French baguette bread , and this time they were out of green goddess dressing for my favorite green goddess salad, I had been craving and real disappointed I didnt get to enjoy it. I SO wanted to love this Panera. I've gone about three times and each time had different staff help me, and each time the service was worse than the previous time. Horribly long wait times. No apologies for lost orders or wait times. Lack of communication among team members and management is no help. The first time, I was gifted with one hour of alone time while I had a friend watching my little one. I ordered a hot chocolate and egg bagel sandwich. After 20min of waiting, and an empty hot chocolate mug, I inquired on my bagel. Oops, they had misplaced my order. 15min later I received it, but now how to rush eat it, rather than enjoy it because I needed to get home. The second time they "lost" my egg bagel sandwich order and my toddler had completely finished his breakfast by the time they found it, so I had to take it to go. The third, and final time. I arrived to a small line, no biggie, with about 5 people behind the counter and only one ringing. I ordered an everything bagel with egg and cheese along with a milk and pastry for my son. We found a table immediately adjacent to the register/pastry area. Roughly 10-15min after I had ordered a girl walked in and ordered all the remaining everything bagels. I assumed, since I'd ordered 10-15min prior my bagel was already happily being toasted and covered in egg and cheese. Yet another 10min went by when the acting manager, who took my order, comes out to inform me they are out of everything bagels. He acts as though they had been out before I ordered. When I called him on his LIE and communicated my disappointment in both his lack of morals he didn't even apologize, but simply asked if I wanted another bagel flavor or a refund! Are you kidding me?! I was starving, so I chose another flavor and haven't returned. I found an Einstein Bagel about 2 miles down the road and have been overly impressed with their service, customer service AND their egg bagels are much bigger and fluffier. I am updating this review as I had posted about the lady touching my bread to "check my order" every time I was in the store. I moved it from a 2 star review to a 1 star review. In the times of Covid this really is NASTY. I asked her to wear gloves if she was going to "check the order" and touch my bread and she lied and said she used the napkin. That napkin is nowhere big enough to cover that big old hunk of bread. She was rude as hell. I finally stopped going there as I did not want somebody's nasty hands all over my bread. I used to like eating there but I can't have somebody's nasty hands all over my food. This is just gross and nasty. The location is the one in Allen off Bethany. I give up when you try to be polite and ask them to wear a glove and they lie and refuse. There are plenty of places to eat, just checked this one off my list. read more

Standard Panera, except this one seems to be understaffed as trash tends to pile up at old tables for twenty or thirty minutes before being serviced. Also the place was swarming with flies...hardly what you want to see while eating! Also of note is that nothing here seems to be made fresh. Certain things you request specifically is met with the response that "it was already made that way, there's nothing we can do". So they do try to come off as fresh, but it is not necessarily that way. read more

As a general rule I love Panera but this location makes me hesitant to ever eat Panera again. I ordered a full Fuji Apple Salad and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup to go. The salad was less than halfway filled to the box and the broccoli cheddar soup tasted like it had defiantly been watered down with water! If eaten their broccoli cheddar soup at different locations more then I can count!! Extremely disappointing. I wish I had taken a picture before eating but I was so hungry I dived right in. Weird! The advertising shows salmon on a bagel but this location does not have salmon. Weird! Bagels with no salmon. Weird! They didn't have souffle pastries at 8:30a.m. because a guy ordered all of them first thing. Make more, well the Manager does not work on Fridays. The lady was old enough to make a decision, thaw dough in microwave for 30 seconds and proceed with making new ones. Weird! I walked in before another lady, the same lady did not acknowledge me but acknowledged her and she saw me because I clarified she knew I was not cutting. We just got back from this Panera (Watters Creek) in Allen on 75 that clearly is lacking adult supervision. It sounded like the employees were having a party going on in the back of the store / kitchen..... Ok, high spirited, that's fine We ordered, then about 5 minutes later we noticed an order that looked like what we ordered put up on the kitchen out window. We waited, and waited, for about 12 minutes. Finally I went up and started to pick it up. At which time a very young smiling employee told me they could bring it out but they didn't have any food runners. The 3 soups we ordered had cooled considerably and was a C- at best overall meal. Until Panera institutes a policy that an adult manager needs to be on site at this location at all times, don't waste your time. read more

First thing I experience when I walked through the door were these two female workers talking to each other making racial slurs about white people RIGHT next to me at the kiosk, and I'm white. Didn't make a big deal about it but then I look around the empty restaurant; there is not a SINGLE clean table. Typical. The two girls too busy being racist to clean tables I get it. I really like Panera! I go here at least once or a couple times a month and it never disappoints. My favorite meals are the mac and cheese or tomato soup (especially in a bread bowl)! The menu has tons of bakery like food to offer, including soups and sandwiches and salads. The actual bakery selection is great as well. This is, by far, the worst run Panera Bread I've ever been to. There is never a clean fork or table in the place. The kitchen is super slow and the food quality, compared to other PB's, is subpar. The last two times I've been here, it was nearly impossible to find a clean seat. Soup was served without a spoon - I was finally given a plastic spoon. And dirty plates and dishes were piled high in the dining room. I feel like if PB franchise people walked into this establishment, they'd shut the place down. I have been a frequent customer at this location, and especially love their soups. I can't get out easily, so am a frequent delivery customer. It only costs $3 and is done by the store employees...always on time and with a smile. Especially liked ordering soup, because made it easy to add a couple of cinnamon rolls for my wife. (I like them too) But now they have changed products, and the replacement really SUCKS. Hope enough agree and post that fact so maybe they will return to the one I really like. I have been in several PB, I think I like the one in Allen the most. I normally have my Sunday Breakfast there. I have my secret spot that I always have my book with hazelnut coffee. The staff at this Panera location are absolutely the finest. Brian, Kriss, Darren, Christian, Ivan, Amanda, and Patrick have always had huge smiles for me and bend over backwards to ensure my satisfaction. The pastries are to-die-for and the bread's pretty good too. The breakfast soufflés are especially wonderful, but they tend to sell out quickly. Lunch time has a variety of clever sandwiches but the salads (especially the Thai chicken salad) reach the pinnacle of quick cuisine. Dee-freakin'-licious. In the mornings it's a great place to bring your computer and work the day away, although by lunch time it tends to get fairly noisy as the shopping crowd meanders through. The free Wi-Fi isn't too fast (around 1Mbps symmetric) however it is configured correctly (no double-NAT) so a variety of services (like Mac screen sharing) do work correctly. read more

This is my first panera visit in Texas. The two stars are indicative of my bad experience today. 1. Location was dirty and tables were haphazardly placed. 2. Napkin holders empty and a friendly reminder didnt seem to work 3. Order taking was very slow. 4. Later i am told , that the soup I ordered was over and that replacement Soup, I requested was completely forgotten and after a long time I had to walk over to the counter and remind them. 6. I'm going to give it another try. The people were nice and most of the people who work there looked like youngsters and my suspicion is that they don't have proper directions and so I would lay blame squarely at the manager and management. read more
