I'm a die-hard fan of Olive Garden, and I keep coming back for a reason. Over multiple visits, this location has proven to be reliable and consistent. Especially, when it comes to the food and value. The only real inconsistency is the service. Some servers are excellent, while others definitely fall short. There is one server in particular who is absolutely fantastic at her game, at this location! I am intentionally not sharing her name because she's already in high demand, and I don't want the wait to get even longer! If her section is full, you'll either have to wait or take your chances with another server. This server sets the standards high. These youngsters, simply can't keep up, NOR match, her spontaneity. Honestly, they don't even try. I wonder why I bother to tip them the standard 20% when my "usual" wait person gives me 100%. I've had a few wait staff that work her section and they are awful! No refills on drinks, which is the biggest mistake of ANY wait staff. Keep the glass full. I base much of my going forward on this simple task. As for the food, the soup and salad combo remains the safest and most reliable choice for me. The salad is always fresh and loaded with plump tomatoes and black olives. I appreciate that they offer extra shredded cheese. The unlimited soup and salad is a great value, and I leave full. I especially enjoy the Zuppa Toscana and Chicken Gnocchi soups. Both are delicious. I mix 1/2 and 1/2 sometimes. This way I end up with the best of both worlds. It's a really creamy soup. Took the trip to Olive Garden with the fam today. They have predictably good soup (chicken & gnocchi), breadsticks, and salad. Service was good as well. The ambiance is consistent with what you'd expect from Olive Garden. Today we ventured away from the typical entrees like lasagna and chicken parm, both of which are good. I tried the Calabrian Steak and Shrimp and my wife had the Chicken Marsala. My dish was surprisingly good with good flavors and seasoning. The Chicken Marsala on the other hand, was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was accompanied with mashed potatoes that tasted like it had some expired ingredient. We had to send it back. Overall, it was an okay experience at Olive Garden. I'd recommend sticking to what you know they do best - breadsticks, salad, soups, lasagna. read more

Who doesn't LOVE Olive Garden? It's an excellent place for a family meal, a Sunday family gathering, a birthday party... yes, they have room for that, or even a special date night! We were planning to meet some family early on Friday, but plans changed when a little one wasn't feeling her best. So, we pivoted and decided to make it "Take out". When we entered the restaurant (4:30-ish), we were warmly greeted by so many people; there was quite a gathering at the host stand as they prepared for the evening. We told them about our evolving plans, and they offered recommendations, provided menus, and were ready to answer any questions. As we sat on the bench in the lobby, looking at all the selections, an enthusiastic employee came over to help us decide. Her name is DJ ... she was a delight! After a bit of Q&A, we decided on a family lasagna, salad & breadsticks! DJ proactively checked to ensure it wouldn't be a long wait, and to our surprise, it was only 10-15 minutes! PERFECT! SO we added desserts to the order... because why not? The order was ready in 10 min... how wonderful! DJ then sorted through the order (with us) to let us know what was in each bag, and we were quickly on our way! The lasagna was amazing! HOT & FRESH, and so much salad! I was happy, as that IS a fav of mine! Plenty of breadsticks too! Then dessert... ohhh yes... there's always room for dessert! We had ordered the Chocolate Layered cake and a Black-tie chocolate mousse... the Chocolate Layered cake was perfect and delicious! However, for the 2nd choice, we were given something else... it was a white layered cake (we were surprised), and maybe we were looking forward to the choc mousse, but we didn't love the white cake. BUT... we still enjoyed our dinner, and we were so glad we didn't cancel on Olive Garden--we just shifted a little and still got to enjoy the goodness of Olive Garden... TOGO!! The fact my friend won the unlimited pasta pass for next month inspired me to try olive garden after years of not eating there. This location in Allen is very good, definitely turned me back on to coming to this chain. The breadsticks tasted fresh and were soft, it's the item so many rave about. I just enjoyed relaxing and eating a good Italian inspired dinner. My friend is in the league of the few, he will be chowing down on food here for 3 months! I hadn't been to an Olive Garden since Covid hit and I lived in Missouri, but a guest wanted to go so we went. Wow it is so much nicer than the ones I've been to before, and the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo was amazing, and enough that I made three dinners out of it! Tonight 10/24/25 I decided to take my daughter to dinner after a long day. She chose Olive Garden and we both we ordered the never ending pasta. We had the mushroom angel hair pasta. It was honestly really good for the first two bites and the third bite I felt metal. I thought it was just a uncooked pasta but nope it was a long metal wire or paperclip. I told the waitress and she immediately took it and then sent out a manager who offered us free desert. We declined (we didn't want else from this restaurant). The manager did apologize but said it looked like a paperclip but they don't have them there. Meanwhile my daughter stopped eating and we left. Thankful she comped the one meal but they should have taken care of the whole bill. We had the same dish and I didn't let her eat anymore. So disappointed!! I know peeps say it's not authentic Italian food but I love Olive Garden and their soup and salads. It's good enough for me. I'm not a fan of their bread as it isn't as soft as I would like it to be. Doesn't ruin the experience. The entree portions are always generous, just the right amount of salt. It had enough chicken and shrimp but probably could lessen the sauce just a little bit. We've been to this location on multiple occassions with mixed experiences, but the last time was unfortunately the worst, 2 of our party of 5 got food poisoning from the meals we ate. Normally, my family has a wonderful time at Olive Garden in Allen, TX. Our last visit however the food was good, but the service wasn't great. We asked to see a manager named Margie who typically treats us well when we're there. I guess she wasn't working that night because we got Briana instead who happens to be the GM there. It felt like she was trying to kick us out the door. Felt disrespected. If I was an employee there, I would quit or ask for a transfer if that is the leadership that is there. It's nice to step away from the sports bar ambiance now and then. For an Italian chain Olive Garden offers consistently good meal options including pastas, soups, and of course their tasty salad. I will say on my last visit a hair found its way into my lasagna. Fortunately, my observant waitress discovered that upon delivering the dish to my table, and quickly rectified the situation, while apologizing profusely. I'm reminded of a (now kind of funny), event when I found a cockroach in my partially eaten cheese enchilada at a local Pancho's Mexican Buffet. I still remember the waitress looking like 'well we don't charge extra for that, what's the problem'. Needless to say, the manager tried his best to make amends. We have eaten here a few times recently for late dinners after getting off work and have had great experiences each time. Always greeted upon entering and so far haven't had any major wait times when we have gone. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, from the host stand, to our waiters/waitresses, and even the folks who bring out the food always have been so kind and friendly. We have ordered different things each time we have come and the food has always come out as ordered. I was pleasantly surprised w how well a recent steak order was cooked! So, this is the 2nd time in 3 weeks I went here. I'm just trying to see if this food was any better than the first visit (it wasn't). I don't know why, but this particular OG restaurant is much worse than others I've gone to. I ordered the special stuffed baked manicotti they have going on right now. Had the gnocci soup and their breadsticks. You know, you see the picture of these perfect, light & fluffy filled tubes of cheese in these round tubes of manicotti? That's NOT what came. They were these dark yellow, dried out tubes of rubber with runny, flat gooey cheese. I grew up in the Northeast and we had beautiful Italian food on the daily. This was the worst example of baked manicotti I've ever had. The soup was runny (like watered down) and the gnocci were chewy instead of light. Like they were old. The bread was OK. I heard others ask for real butter too, because if you don't ask, they won't bring it. So $17+ later and pure disappointment, I'm done with Olive Garden. Don't get your hopes up for anything special with them. Oh, and I didn't mention that I tried to go to their OG location in Plano on Hwy 75 (by Plano Pkwy) and they had closed the location that Friday for some unknown reason. Just don't bother. read more

This place is pretty good and pretty convenient for anyone in the area. Menu is basically simple and good. I had the Seafood Alfredo and wife had Endless Soup and Salad. These dishes were tasty and serving size large but I think prices are a little high. Lunch is more reasonable but ends early at 3 p.m. Restaurant was nice and clean. We ordered calamari as an appetizer which was so good and their endless soup,salad and breadsticks. On a very cold day it was well worth it. Burnt bread, burnt pita chips and got the order wrong which was don't put red sauce on anything. The place is at least 78 degrees inside. I am going to be completely honest, Olive Garden has let me down in the past. However, this specific location restored my hope by providing a fantastic experience. My husband and I were not particularly in the mood for Italian, but we were meeting some of his family for a late birthday dinner. We had a group of nine, and we walked in without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. Within 15 minutes they had found us a table. We ended up ordering the 2 for $25 deal with salad and ravioli for me and soup and chicken Alfredo for him. We spit the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. My husband ordered 3 bowls of the Pasta Fagoli soup, which is a strong indicator that he loved it. I liked to dip my breadsticks in his soup. Our soup/salad, entrees and desserts were fabulous. There were two servers that took care of our large group. They ensured that our waters were always filled and that breadsticks were replenished often. Olive Garden is getting less & less variety of food. The only meat they have That Is Not Chicken is one pathetic overly priced steak and the ground beef in their sauce. There is no Beef anything anymore! They only sell the cheapest food (noodles & Chicken) for the highest prices ever. Why would anyone want to pay $16 to $24 or more for noodles and sauce when you can buy them for less then $5 at the grocery store. You can go to a real Italian restaurant and get a better meal with real beef and a decent Salad with your choice of different salad dressings and home made real garlic bread, not just a bagel with garlic sprinkled on it for the same price. In fact you probably can get Veal and vegetables with your meal and a dessert. If you keep buying theirs, they will keep upping the price and downgrading the food. read more

We have been living at hotel for 2 years because of the winter storm and tried almost every Allen's restaurant. One of them was Olive Garden. I would say good Italian restaurant. I love Italian soups and ravioli. My son loves spagetti with meat ball and husband always ordered lasagna. I like they have hot tea, nice Italian desserts. Service is good, nice atmosphe clean, quality food, big portions. We have never had problems in this restaurant. The only one thing I would pay attention - the wine Chianti. Drove by after giving up waiting in line to get into a store. Decided to order online and I pulled up to the curbside spaces. Placed my order online and it said 23 minute wait no big deal. 10 minutes in a man came up and i explained my order wasn't ready. He said no problem I'll just make sure they know you are here.
