This is the absolute WORST sandwich (chicken bacon rancher)I have ever received from a Panera. I don't even have any words for this disgraceful purchase. Had I not been traveling i would have turned back around and went right to the manager. Pictures speak a thousand words, so I'll let my pictures say the rest

This was the first stop on our family road trip. We went in to use the restroom and grab breakfast. Personnel was scarce and not very hospitable. The restrooms were in dire need of attention. I intentionally chose to stop at Panera as the brand usually represents a higher standard, in my opinion. This location did not live up to that expectation.

It's Panera; 8:15 on a Saturday Morning. Missed the entrance and almost pulled into the one-way exit. Pulled into Waffle House and drove my truck over the curb to the defunct hotel which actually shares an entrance with Panera...go figure. This location has the smallest parking lot I've ever seen at a Panera, and one of the smallest seating areas as well. Not busy. Ordered on an automated touch screen. Works fine but absolutely no human contact during the experience. Don't expect hello or good morning. I only saw two employees but there at least needed to be a Baker since it was still early. The tables were clean, but the hanging / suspended lights over the tables were disgusting. The light colored cable was covered with dirt, dead flies, and other what's the word starts with a d for junk for not debris. It's close, yeah detritus.

Slooooooowwww service! Dirty tables, employees were too busy talking (at least 20 minutes while we were there) instead of wiping down tables... we were there 45 minutes waiting for a sandwich and salad and the tables were still all dirty, we had to clean our own table...even one employee sat at a dirty table for his break. They did not ring in one of our salads and the employee behind the counter had an attitude... don't blame him though, sounds like poor management issues. Last picture, same tables dirty a whole hour after we walked in... and if you are the customer that left it that way, shame on you. Avoid this place, until they make some changes.

Great service and it was super quiet. Food came out extremely fast and tasted great. Got the pick two which is a great value choice.

It was nice and rich with great flavor. Nice dark chocolate flavor mixed with buttery crust. My view on this place has pretty tiny portions too.

Last Friday's lunch decision directed me to this small town delicious spot. I hadn't been there in…read moreyears. First, I checked out the menu that is posted on the wall, and tried to make the right decision. EVERYTHING is homemade. Ok, I decided on the Tuna Salad on a white homemade yeast roll. You can select one side, so I had cucumber, tomato and onion salad. I couldn't pass up on fresh lemonade and a slice of one of the most delicious coconut pie I've ever had. The lady that took my order was soooo sweet and of course knowledgeable of the menu. I didn't feel rushed, just relaxed. Soooo we had the most interesting conversation that concluded her parents knew my mother back in the day. I didn't expect tears of joy at lunch. It was lovely! I didn't get her name, but I'll never forget her until I return with friends and family to experience this "small town" treasure. Ok, the food. The roll was golden brown, soft and screamed HomeMade. It was filled with a white flaky and well seasoned tuna salad, topped with fresh crunchy shredded lettuce. YUM ! The cucumber, grape tomato and onion salad had a lite vinaigrette dressing. Fresh !! There is freshly made strawberry lemonade, lemonade, Iced tea and the Pepsi fountain drink products. Ok, the star of the show. That slice of coconut pie was Perfect. The crust was brown, very flaky and filled with a thick creamy coconut filling. This little cute old town restaurant is next to the railroad track and train station that's across from Randolph Macon College. It's popular to the students and residents of Ashland. If you would like A DELICIOUS Lunch in a warm and cute small town restaurant, come to Homemade's by Suzanne!!!! Thank you
