Their specialty is baked goods. Great product but the one star for this location is because I feel that they lack in service. The frontline workers don't move with a sense of purpose, urgency, and tact. And it could honestly just be their culture (the culture of Panera as a whole).. but I perceive it to be a lack of drive in their actions. I been here a couple of times, parking in this plaza is a nightmare on the weekends so I try to avoid it. The place has that chain smell (something about restaurants and carpets have got to stop)... the food is good and the service is good, but nothing to give more than 3 stars about. The location looks clean (aside from the carpet area). The food is reasonably priced and it's convenient for breakfast, which it's what I usually stop by for. The hot cocoa they made was huge, but the kids thought the marshmallows was too much. Their tuna sandwich is my daughters favorite and it is pretty good. They chicken soup is decent as well. They have plenty of baked items. What I do like about this franchise is that they donate their non sold bread to the community. And that is where they get my fourth star. This Panera bread in Aventura is the worst!!! They sell you old food mixed with new foos all there salads to go are wilted or rotten and mixed in with good lettuce this has happened to me more then 3 times this month, when you call to complain Manager acknowlegeded the bad lettuce and took no responsibilty for it, they are awful. read more

The food is fine at Panera. The services for rapid pick up and delivery need work. Without fail most of the rapid pick up orders I have done have been wrong. This is for Aventura and North Miami locations. I check the orders, however, in some cases you have to handle the food in order to know if it was done correctly. It's like they scraped these people off the bottom of the barrel of the human garbage can. They were out of the first three things I tried to order. Josephine in particular while ringing me up was super rude and seemed to be annoyed when I asked about my gift card balance. And that I was ordering things that were on the menu. Lazy workers. Food is always delicious. My favorite thing to get is the tomato soup and the Asiago steak sandwich. This morning I came in at 6:45 AM for breakfast. The morning crew was rude and really slow. We were the only ones in the place and it took them 15 minutes to fill three bagel orders AND the sausage was missing from two of the bagels. I would have gone back but I was already late from the slow service. I was also going to add to my order but the person behind the counter was just shuffling bread around and telling me...I will be right with you. Would be nice if the crew in the morning was more conscious of the fact that people had to go to work under a time crunch. read more

This is definitely a panera. The food is standard, but this place always seems busy and slow. The staff are nice, but the dinning room seems like it isn't cleaned as frequently as it should. Also, given the location, there are always lot of students taking up tables so it is sometimes hard to find somewhere to sit. read more

The staff working during late evenings are so nonchalant. They could not care less about customer service. They spend more time laughing with each other, then spending time talking to the customer. Because they are so entertained among themselves, they take forever to get your order ( ON A SLOW EVENING ) and also they mix it up. They gave me somebody else's order. Arrived at 930pm, 3 tables were occupied by people on computers, no one was eating. I ordered the classic grilled cheese. My husband ordered wonton soup, Asian salad and a baguette. He asked if the plum iced tea was sweetened, the cashier said, I don't know I never had it.". He asked if the Turkey Chili was spicy, again the reply was, I don't know." They now deliver the food to the table. My food came out 10 minutes before my husband's whose order was wrong. The worst location I have dealt with. Ordered online took over an hour to deliver. When I called the location was on hold for 10 minutes before anyone picked up. Said my order was on it's way and I cannot cancel anymore which was a lie. As soon as I hung up the phone I got a message that my order is finally on it's way. I feel bad for the people who work here because it's always so full, but that does not excuse the horrible service and forever wait for a pickup order. 40 minutes to get an order, only for hen t tell me they're our of some ingredient? And then they tell me to get another thing, which was an additional 20 minute wait. This place needs more employees. Severely understaffed and totally swamped. It's Panera, and it's still delicious, but the waits are simply unacceptable. And it's not the first time that it's happened at this particular location. So it's not a one time thing. It might seem petty, but I have eaten at the Aventura many times. You need to provide Splenda for coffee, but that's not the real reason I am taking the time to write this review. When ordering at the in store kiosk, it asks if I'm eating in, and I say yes. It then asks to to input the number on a buzzer to alert me when the food is ready. Today I waited, and waited...... was busy checking email online, then realized my breakfast sandwich was sitting up at the counter, getting cold. I went up, checked the receipt and it was mine. I asked the cook, "why does Panera have these buzzers? I've never ever been buzzed, sometimes someone will bring the food over to me, other times I see what looks like my food and I go up. I NEVER get buzzed! When I asked the cook he just stared at me with a dumb look on his face! Yes, got ya! The job is not just to cook, you have to communicate! You have to provide customer service just like everyone else there! If you can't do that then you should move along. Buzz people and let them know their food is hot and ready so it won't be cold like mine was. read more

Not sure what it is, but every time I go to Panera Bread my bag has dirty hand food on the outside. I digress. Today I go there and order a large salad but to my dismay I received two small ones. When I called the store, the manager told me they didn't have anymore large salads, that's why I received two small ones. Duh. I know that. What I wish is, is that someone had mentioned this to me because I didn't want two small salads I wanted one large one. Thanks Panera Bread.
