I've always liked Panera Bread and ate at several locations. This particular location was disgusting. While in the dining room having lunch, I saw many cockroaches running around. Even though they are just a tenant in the strip mall, that was enough for me to question if I'll eat at any Panera location. Now when I go into a Panera, those roaches will be on my mind. I have been coming to Panera for YEARS and this location in Aventura has the worst customer service I've seen. The employees don't greet you, they look unhappy, and the last 3 times I came the front doors were locked 1 hour before closing time, thus making my food cold because I was standing outside calling the store with no one answering. I was even knocking on the door (which are glass) and the employee were just staring at me. It's not like they were closed. They didn't even bother to come ask if I needed help. After about 20 minutes a girl came to tell me they were closed at 9:45PM.... Don't they close at 10? Why was I able to place a pick up order at 9 and receive a notification that it's ready if that's the case? Employee behavior here is unprofessional and lousy. read more

Jasmine the cashier was terrible No greeting,I asked her questions about the menu and her answer is " I don't know" and then she has the audacity to text while I'm ordering under the monitor, no eye contact or nothing. This location is very bad at getting the broth into their bowl meals. There is no broth in their bowls, only the solid ingredients. This has happened numerous times. After years of not having step foot on a Panera Bread, I decided to stop here for lunch on a Friday afternoon, and I am so glad I did! I have always being a fan of this chain restaurant because I am a sucker for bread and pastries. I love love all of their breads and sweets, period. While I have had their famous broccoli cheddar soup and yummy sandwiches, I was completely unaware of their magnificent salad menu. I got their Chicken Thai Salad, and boy was that a flavor explosion in my mouth! For starters, the salad is less than $10 and big enough to share or at least keep you filled for a long time. This salad had romaine lettuce, roasted carrots and edemame, sweet peanuts, wonton fries and a mountain of grilled chicken! I really think about it and my mouth simply waters lol. A salad might not sound like a big deal, but this one had the perfect combination of flavors and ingredients. If you are a fan of salads, try this one on your next visit... you won't be dissapointed! read more

They get orders wrong, long wait times, etc. We usually come with the hopes it will be a quick in and out operation but most times I end up regretting it. Was craving salad after an intense cardio session at the gym. Noticed they had a new in season "strawberry poppyseed & chicken" salad. Instantly decided it was the one for me. Got it to go. Couldn't wait to get home to eat it. This salad is perfection, all the fruity flavors mixed so well together with the chicken and romaine. It's a nice huge portion and very filling & most importantly HEALTHY. I am very pleased with the customer service here and the quality of my meal. Already dreaming about going back for more. AVOID. Decent food but crappy enough service to prompt me to write a review while eating. I had to literally yank my credit card out of the cashier's hand because she was spaced out and not even looking at me after she charged me and said "Next". Then waiting for a damn salad took outrageously long. The guy waiting for his food in front of me was complaining that they gave his to-go bag to the wrong person and this older tall white guy with a deep voice behind the counter was giving him smart-ass remarks like it was funny. 15 minutes later, I get my soup and salad served on two different plates. I put my salad on my soup plate and politely said I only need one plate because I couldn't carry both AND my drink and the same idiot said "I can't take the plate back" all sarcastic. I said, "What am I supposed to do with it?" And he ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME. He's lucky he was behind a counter. Quality, healthy food and decent service is something quite standard at all Panera locations, and this one is no exception. Though it was close to closing time, my friend and I were able to come in and place our orders. The only thing we did not like was the fact that it was FREEZING inside, so we had no choice but to eat outdoors. There were many other people doing the same thing, and also complaining about how cold it was, so that is my only issue. When I found out that they were opening a Panera Bread close to my home in Aventura, I was excited. I work in Fort Lauderdale and usually frequent the one located on Federal Hwy over at Bal Harbour. Unfortunately, this location has the worst employees. I stop in about 2 times a week and customer service is non-existent which is why I've been cutting back on my visits. Example, I walked in the other day very early on a Sunday so there was no one on line at the time. I stood there waiting for someone to take my order while the cashier did her own thing behind the counter. Even though she saw me standing there, she refused to acknowledge me or even say "I'll be right with you". Instead she's doing other stuff like cutting bagels and taking her sweet time. When she finally does come over to take my order after I've stood there being ignored for a full 5 minutes, she doesn't apologize for the wait, doesn't even smile, instead she has a pissed-off look on her face as if my presence there was a disturbance. I like the food at Panera but they need to hire a better class of employees at this location - not the Burger King-rejects they currently have working there. If you want repeat customers: (1) speed up the service and (2) make the customer feel like they are actually welcome. read more

I was so excited to see them constructing the Panera Bread near my house, and after a long anticipated wait everything was to my expectations. I had the asiago bagel egg sandwich, DELICIOUS!! On another occasion I had the spinach and artichoke soufflé...... So yummy!!! The service was extremely great, nothing like your typical miami customer service! I really like going their especially when I'm feeling like a healthier choice after work. I order a salad most times and I like to have the Napa chicken added, this seems to confuse them when I ask for it. Sometimes they get it right and tonight they they didn't, I would normally send it back but I was too hungry and tired. Our choice of sitting inside or outside depends on how cold the inside is, most of the time it's unbearable and tonight it was. The servers are usually kind but there seems to always be a turnover of employees. read more

The staff can be incoherent at times and carry on about personal life dilemmas rather than taking care of customers. I go to several Panera Bread locations but the Aventura store is by far the best. Always clean and the food is beyond great. But the one thing that sets this store apart is the people who work there. They all are great but one of the managers,"Annie", is the BEST! Always cheerful, super accommodating, and more energy then I'll ever have. I came for a "rapid pick-up" and asked one of the staff for a rewards card. I had explained that I registered online and wanted to know how to obtain a card and handed over a print-out of my temporary card. The guy had no clue what I was saying and since he mainly spoke Spanish he referred me to the manager. The manager was just as clueless as to what I was asking and after explaining more than once she finally handed over a card, but did not answer any of my questions regarding the rewards system. read more
