We are always satisfied with Panera's menu items. It's the poor service at this location that continually disappoints. Our last handful of "Rapid Pick Up" orders have been missing items. I recently orderd a Mac and cheese and it tasted like ass also it was very small and cold and it cost 40 for two Mac and cheese bread bowl and later after my kids ate it they threw up and were sick to there stomachs and were up all night to food poisonin. In the last 4-5 times that I've ordered, it's either taken a crazy amount of time to get the order, or the lobby is blocked with a chair so we have to wait in the drive thru which is also so slow, or today, when I ordered two separate salads and literally just had the ingredients mixed together on both like whoever was making it put most of the toppings on one and almost nothing on the other. I'm done ordering food here, this is the only Panera that I've ever had problems with like this, I'm literally going to drive to a different city to get this overpriced food if this location can't even get simple orders right. Almost every time I have (politely) asked a worker about something here I get nothing but attitude. Had some girl working the drive thru staring at me and eating her own food while I was waiting to give her my payment card and she just wouldn't open the window, and then sent a text or two before she finally opened it. Have also been straight up ignored at the inside counter trying to ask about the status of one order of Mac n Cheese (15 mins after ordering) while we were the only people in the restaurant- several people walked past even when I was just trying to wave and be like "hey, quick question please." I don't like posting negative reviews because I always worry that someone is having a bad day at work, or is working and going to school and tired, but there's no excuse to be rude. We've frequented this location over the last 4 years, but we're done! The prices continue to rise, but the quality has gone downhill. We love the Chicken Wild Rice Soup, it's usually thick and creamy. I'll try to attach the video my husband took, but got soup that was EXTREMELY watered down, and noticed that sometimes we'll get less than 1/2 bowl of soup or salad. Brought it to the attention of the manager and were told it's yesterday's soup and this is how it reheats - um NO. Anyone who makes soup with rice in it will know that the rice absorbs the water not make it more watery. Basically they took leftover soup and added a LOT of water to it in order to serve it the next day - they charge us over $10 for it. It's a good place to go in and grab a danish, bagel, or even a hot breakfast sandwich, which I will occasionally do, especially on the weekends. I rarely eat in because I'm always in such a hurry, but when I do, I like that they enable their wifi for customers so that can respond to email, check stocks, other misc things. Their staff is always very customer service oriented. In fact, while I was waiting for my bagels and filling up my coffee cup, one of their staff members walked up to me and hand delivered them. My experience with both the food and the employees was deplorable. I ordered take out and when I arrived home the lettuce that was placed on my sandwich was rotten (photo posted separately). It was absolutely disgusting. I also specifically asked for no onions and yet there were still onions on the sandwich. The manager, Sean, refused to refund my money without me driving 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back to return the sandwich. The fact that an employee of Panera knowingly placed rotten lettuce on a sandwich is disgusting. Their refusal to fix the problem makes this far worse. I will never go back to this Panera again. The young lady making several sandwiches today, touched her hair and adjusted her hat with gloves on 5 times in less than 2 minutes. I placed a to-go order, and when my husband arrived home and looked for his sandwich, it was nowhere to be found. I contacted the store, and was told that I could come back (totally inconvenient - we just happened to be in that area to shop at Costco, I have to drive past at least two other Panera stores to get to that one) and get my sandwich, or I have 30 days to come and get a free sandwich (except that I already paid for it, I just never received it). So, they screwed up my order, and I get to be inconvenienced, and for my trouble I get exactly what I paid for in the first place. Recently ordered a chicken Caesar salad from here off their app. Upon opening my salad at home I came to find an arugula spring mix, which was bad with Caesar dressing. As you can imagine I was very frustrated. I called Panera and they said they had left a note on the receipt attached to my bag and apparently the manager tried to chase me to my car and let me know... I asked her why she didn't call me provided a number is a required field when ordering online and she had no answer. I asked for a refund since i did not get what I ordered and was told I had to call corporate because ordering online was through a third party. I called corporate and they were no help and said someone would get back to me in 2-3 days. I also emailed them a picture of the salad I received because it was so disgusting. After not hearing from them for a week I emailed them again. Finally they got back to me and offered me a gift card because the refund process is a "very lengthy process." I settled, they won, the absolute WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. They never even addressed any of the issues I had mentioned, like why no one had called if they didn't have the ingredients to make my salad. read more

I stopped in Panera Bread this morning in Avon. The staff and manager who waited on me were rude! I asked for a toasted croissant with peanut butter and it was as if I asked them to fly to the moon and back. The cashier lady said "I never did that before". Really.... would it be that hard to try putting a croissant in the toaster and spreading a little bit of peanut butter on it? The manager said "we don't have any croissants anyway plus it wouldn't work toasting a croissant". I told both these ladies several times that this location has prepared this for me before, but they were insistent that it could not be done. Neither one bothered to offer another item on the menu. Worst Panera I have ever been to - employees standing around and not waiting on customers or cleaning dirty tables - customers waiting in line were ticked off no one was at registers - also no one vacuuming dirty floors - my turkey chili came with a large piece of plastic & when they replaced with black bean soup they delivered it with a dirty food encrusted soup spoon. My Sierra turkey sandwich barely had dressing & the lettuce was brown & wilted. I would have gone elsewhere except had gift card and birthday treat & was shopping nearby. Sugar was only stacked with processed white in ice tea area - when I asked employee if they had other sugar she pointed me to coffee bar but didn't ever restock the other area & was still standing around talking to other employees - another customer made a comment that Zoup is going to take their business if they didn't get their act together & an employee with a broom said...trust me they will not get their act together - wow - I used to come here but hadn't been in a while. Place was 1/4 full on a sunny Sunday at 2pm - service etc explains it. Westlake Panera is run much better. I spoke to the Asst Mgr who was the only mgmt on duty - and she didn't seem to want to do much about anything - I think I would have comp'd me or something - she did apologize while she was being distracted by looking at the bottom of a milk carafe & not looking at me in the eye. Although Panera used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to, the quality of their food quickly went downhill. The past few times I have been there have been ordeals that were a complete waste of time and money. The food that I received was not worth anything near the amount I paid for it, and sandwiches that were advertised as being hot were very cold and unappetizing, not to mention that unappreciated surprises were added to my sandwich that I was not informed of. I received a gift card to Panera. I went to the Avon Ohio location and was immediately not sure were to stand in line? I then placed my order The Italian sandwich then I asked for soup with my order. I wanted to use the complete $15 on the card the Woman I placed my ordered with told me She did not know how to do that? So I had to order again? I knew there was 50 cents I would owe She replied I had 50 cents left on my card? Then She realized I owed them and got very unpleasant with me? She tried to run the card and told me it had nothing on it? After going back and forth someone else ran the card and imagine that there was $15 on the card?????????? As I waited for my 2 orders? I received the first they ask why I was still waiting. Then I received my second order there was a tiny little half of a sandwich? The lady at the register is SUPER friendly. If you are trying to remember what sandwich you had in the past and ask her, she will make you explain yourself and make you feel real dumb.
