It's been years since I've eaten anything here for a reason. I had a members reward and decided to use it. I got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich on sourdough adding cucumber and tomato. This sandwich was amazingly good such I'd order it again. My wife got the Green Goddess Greek substituting the Green goddess with Greek dressing. Cucumber was added. She really enjoyed her salad too! Unfortunately, after coming here quite a few times, I've realized the place is way too small and congested in comparison to the previous location in Avon Commons. It's like you're sitting on top of each other at the other tables. The place to sit is along the window, the Southern most part of the restaurant, and that's like 5 booths. I think this Panera really dropped the ball with that. The Sheffield Lake one is a much better size and more open feeling. Now onto the service: I maybe stood at the counter for the betterment of 3 minutes and no one noticed me or cared to take my order. Then, when my order was supposedly ready, I didn't even hear my name called and time passed for awhile until I saw my order at the counter. Very annoyed at the service at this location. They also don't seem to be good about cleaning periodically so that the customers can actually sit down at the tables open. Not to say customers shouldn't clean up after themselves (they should), but the employees need to step up since it's their business/job. The food was overall very good, but I get so annoyed with this location specifically because when I get the chipotle chicken avocado melt, it's almost as if they shouldn't have even bothered putting it on the bread... the bottom part has barely bread covering the inside of the sandwich; and therefore, becomes an extremely messy meal. Very disappointed overall in my experience at this Panera, where I almost always have good experiences. But this location has been dissatisfactory since my first visit here. This place is terrible. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup with a baguette. $8.59 for it. I ordered on the mobile app had a terrible cold and just wanted a nice how bowl of Soup. I picked up in drive thru. I get home it is not a bowl of soup it is a little cup of soup. Almost nothing but broth. 3 noodles 2 pieces of a carrot and that was it. When I opened the bag the baguette was laying on napkins on top of the Lille cup that the broth was in. I have never felt so scammed in my entire life. Where to begin! I'm going to be a Karen right now because I've never been so damn disrespected for no reason when I remained polite and collected. Well for starters, Elizabeth (at least that's what my receipt says) was very impatient and disrespectful when I was ordering. She even cut me off twice to total up my order and tell me to go to the window. I wasn't even done ordering and when I told her that, she made snide comments. I noticed a mistake on the screen and changed the order and she made it seem like I highly inconvenience her. Then I get to the window and pay, and the young woman Elizabeth, was super cocky and rude, she didn't even wait to close the window before she started b*tching about me and her job. I'm not one to call corporate or write reviews, but I've never been so angry over that type of disrespect. And I still got my order wrong! I called the store to file a complaint and a young man claiming to be the manager was also dismissive and played dumb about the situation. As we were doing some errands for a family emergency, we stopped at this Panera Bread. The service could not have being worse. A female manager around 7:30 PM on 3/20/2024 was very condescending to my family. We were given bread that was hard as a rock, when we asked for fresh bread this "manager" was very rude indicating they only do one batch per day, when asked for extra lettuce for our sandwich she said there was not a button for extra lettuce. We ended up asking for a refund for our orders and leaving the store. Really bad experience! Maybe because we are people of color she felt that it was ok to talk to us a certain way. I've been to this Panera twice, first time they forgot my dressing for my salad. This time they forgot my sandwich and only gave me my salad. Incredibly slow and long wait times. I went through the drive through and ordered pretty quickly, and arrived at the pay pickup window where I waited for approximately 20 minutes for my food to arrive. Once my food did arrive, it was handed to me quickly without a comp or coupon or really an apology for the wait time. The people behind me were getting out of their cars to look at what was taking so long. Love the food - horrible wait times and lack of accountability. I have always been a Panera fan, but lately I have noticed that their prices are going up and their service is so slow. Went in around 445pm and it took forever yet no one was there. Very disappointed! Walked in around 8:45. Ordered a sandwich and a salad. Turkey, bacon avocado and a Greek salad. Sandwich was one folded slice of turkey and NO avocado. Greek salad was 95% lettuce and had rotten peppers on it. The worst part was that my food sat on a counter in the back for 25 minutes while everyone ignored me (it was closing time). I've been to this Panera location more times than I can count. It has always been a decent, inexpensive option for lunch, dinner, or a good breakfast pastry. Many fond memories of coffee and pastry with my mom when I would make visits home from college. My favorite breakfast treats are the Chai Tea Latte and the Egg Souffles. The Pick 2 lunches and dinners are great. Pretty much every salad, sandwich, and soup is delicious. I love that Panera posts calories on their ordering board so you can quickly tally your meal as you wait to order. The dining area is always clean with tables ready for dining. The employees also make rounds during busy times to take dirty dishes. If they don't make it your way then you'll bus yourself at the end. Employees are usually friendly and prepare orders correctly. I have noticed over the years that they do hire many teenagers and sometimes they can be a little awkward with service. We were all teenagers working at a first job at one point so it has never bothered me. read more

Last time I ever eat at Panera Bread. Tried this brand new location and was hopeful it would be well managed, clean and the food fresh. Well, strike three and you are out: staff could care less about waiting on you, half the tables were dirty and this was the after 2pm, lettuce on the sandwich was gross and wilted while the tuna fish was about 80% mayo and maybe 3 bites of tuna that tasted like it was contactedfrom a can. I recently contact Panera Bread via an email about the quality of their restaurants in NE Ohio. As of today - 3 weeks later - no response. Based on this corporation's lack of customer satisfaction, I encourage everyone to just go somewhere else to eat. There are many options today and no one needs to support a company that could care less about their food's quality, their staff rude manners, and of course, their major overpricing of unedible food. I got the smallest amount of poor quality steak on my steak and white cheddar sandwich. I've never gotten such a terribly made sandwich. There was no meat, the bread was burnt and uneven, and I said light cheese which meant they didn't put any on. I've never had a bad experience until I came to this Panera and I want my money back. The service at this Panera location's drive thru was terrible. The man at the window was on his cellphone and walked away from me. There were two other employees in sight who clearly saw me, but did nothing. The Panera Bread in Avon is not my favorite location in Lorain County, but it's not bad either. The service and food is pretty consistent. Can't go wrong with ordering a cup of soup, a sandwich or a salad. I also enjoy their baked goods and bagels. One of my least favorite things about Panera Bread in general is that they have a WIreless Internet restriction during their peak hours ...11:30-1:30 (I believe). They have a 30 minutes time limit for Wireless use during that time period. I understand why they have the policy, but I think it's a bit extreme nonetheless. I have never seen a Panera Bread so busy during peak hours that the Internet users were keeping other customers away from having a table to sit at. One other thing I like about Panera is that they have a dietary restrictions binder. My boyfriend has to eat a gluten-free (GF) diet, and while Panera doesn't have an extremely large selection of GF items, it is still nice that they have the information available for their customers. There are quite a few salads on their GF list, and it appears that almost all of their salad dressings are GF as well. In addition, a few of their soups are also GF. If you need to observe a strict diet due to food allergies just ask the cashier and they can show you the binder of information. All in all Panera Bread is a decent place to eat if you want something better than fast food, but not quite as nice as a sit-down restaurant. It's a little pricey for what you get, but it is also consistently good! I enjoy coming to this location when I need a place that has WiFi. It can be a bit noisier than a coffee shop, so I would suggest bringing a pain or headphones if you need to concentrate. This is especially true during the lunch and dinner hour time frames. read more

I have gone to Panera this past week and each time I went there was no bread bowls and the cookies are supposed to be soft not crunchy. Today I just went and I was waiting in this line for let me tell you how long, 15 minutes. Once we got to the window they gave us the wrong order, and had to wait an extra 10 mins. to get our right order. The service at this location is awful! I placed a mobile pick up order for drive thru pick up. I waited in line for over an hour. I placed my order at 6:15 and was supposed to be ready at 6:26. I did not receive my food until 7:30. When I got up to the window I waited for over 15 minutes to get my food. During my time sitting at the drive thru window. The girl working at the window was dancing around, eating food, and goofing off with other employees. She also rubbed a cookie and bagels on her apron. For having worked in the food business that was completely unsanitary. Before an employee decided to acknowledge my existence at the window. They asked the girl who was dancing around who was at the window, the girl just said "good luck" to her coworker and walked away. This employee was also messing around and on her phone during my time waiting at the window. I never take the time to leave negative reviews but I'm so frustrated by this place I just had to. It's so hit or miss as to whether or not you're going to get a decent meal. Tonight I paid $13 for the green goddess salad with chicken. The bowl wasn't even half full. It had so little in it that one of the two tiny containers of dressing provided more than drenched the salad. On top of that, the salad was completely missing the bacon and the grape tomatoes... come on, really?! I discovered this as I was just sitting down to eat after working a 15 hr day, so needless to say I'm not very happy. I had to add my own lettuce to the salad so that I at least had something to eat. This isn't the first time this has happened at this place. One time my husband ordered a whole sandwich and they gave him something that was smaller than their tiny bags of chips. Be forewarned about this place as the quality control is really poor and the place is a rip off! I'm really glad to see the competition rising up along Chester for them...for example get a salad at McAlisters Deli almost across the street as it will be huge and really tasty for the same price. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Panera's and had an OK lunch. The restaurant was clean and comfortable enough with the same decor since forever. While I'm not big on bakery i'll admit the baked selection looked tempting. I also appricated the customer service when Panera's open up and extra order station to handle a small rush, 5-6 people in line. Order the Pick 2 of Caesar Salad and the Italian sub sandwich and iced tea totaling $11.17 before tax. The salad was a typical Caesar with Romaine, dressing and some Parm, nothing over the top but not bad for a small side salad. The 1/2 Italian sandwich was a bit of a disappointment the meats, cheese a Giardiniera spread was well shy of making to the ends of the bread. Not asking for a Monster overloaded sandwich but a little more filling would be nice for a $11 bucks. read more

Had two terrible experiences, just went back to exhaust this gift card and they're inexplicably closed due to in-climate weather even though it hasn't been snowing all day and roads are entirely clear.
