While working, I stopped by Panera and ordered a cheese steak, cheesy broccoli soup, and a Cesar salad. Overall, it was a satisfying combo! The cheese steak was flavorful, the cheesy broccoli soup was creamy and comforting, and the Cesar salad was crisp and refreshing - a nice balance with the richer items. Panera had good ambience and was good for a workspace. Would order again for a work lunch. read more

When I asked for a clean one and to speak to the manger, she angrily dismissed my complaint, did not apologise and aggressively said "I already replaced it with a clean one"!. The turkey bravo sandwich is decent. Also if you want fresh loaves of bread, deli items they have them. A lot of people love this chain. For me it's a like. It works for a quick lunch or dinner. Their soups taste salt loaded. Whether they are loaded with this or not, I cannot prove it either way. A busy location, please do be careful parking in Bailey's Crossing Shopping Center. This area is quite urban and busy. Plus note really nice employees. They also are efficient. I hope Panera makes some new options for its menu. The chain could use refreshing/modernizing. Panera Bread is always a good spot to grab a healthy bite with some nice healthy drink options. Nothing particularly spectacular about this one compared with others. It was clean, service was standard and it wasn't too busy on the inside. I ordered the creamy tomato soup with a side of bread and a chocolate croissant. The tomato soup was alright. Panera is my jam. Order online to save time and pick up. This location has historically gotten pretty busy--and the pandemic has definitely made that worse. As of mid-2021, the restaurant is back open for indoor dining, but also fielding a lot of online orders. During peak lunch time on a weekday, expect some chaos! But my recent order was made pretty quickly. The French onion soup was missing croutons and cheese, which wasn't ideal, but oh well. In the future I'll probably try to order at a less peak time so I can avoid the crowds. read more

I don't think this place is COVID-19 ready yet. Curbside pick-up location is right outside of the front door, which is located at the corner of the entrance to this little shopping area. If there are more than 3 cars parked there waiting for their orders, incoming traffic has a great chance to hit the last car. Another customer and myself had to walk into the restaurant to get our "curbside pickup" order. Given the fact the restaurant opens at 7 am, not all coffee was brewed by 9 am. It is understandable that COVID-19 created a new lifestyle and change how the way businesses operate. Hopefully they catch up with a new world. read more

I've become a Paneraholic bc I have two hours to kill every morning before my work due to my long drive in from the hinterlands... so I bought the sip club membership. This Panera (maybe bc I am literally here every weekday morning and I'm one of the 8 or so regulars) has the best service of the 4 that are between work and my house. Not the best decor-- a bit dated compared to one but much better than a couple of others. They are super patient with my orders. I do substitutions to add lots of extra veggies and you can order salads for breakfast! As well as other lunch items Just no soups. I don't love Panera coffee. It's just ok enough to be worth it at the sip club price but I do love republic of tea teas and they have those as well as nice iced tea and coffee and my personal favorite Buble fizzy water a couple of nice things about Panera generally-- free veggie adds so get that extra tomato! They will remake botched items. Consistency can sometimes be off but I do ask for mods so that's part of it. They also don't have many breakfast options for the trying to manage carbs reasonably types hence why I was stoked to learn I can order salads for breakfast. They dropped their boiled egg side add on which annoys me. But the end of the day I really have enjoyed my personal fast casual Cheers! No pics bc I don't usual take pics of my every day meals oh another pro tip... Apple Pay and Bank of America often run 3-10 percent cash back here. Add that to the multiple times per year 20percrnt off gift card specials and you can get 20-25 percent off your meals here in addition to one of the best app bonus specials people that have the free app get regularly. The sip club is about 12$ a month but if you use the above discounts to pay for it.. you see where I'm going. A couple of location specific things-- being that I'm here every day I can say that some of the one star reviews do have a little merit-- they do run out of items regularly when people make for instance huge bagel orders not through the catering department and Panera HQ has made significant menu updates (see my own bone to pick about eggs) and sometimes they do turn away people bc they have a small issue with non ordering customers wanting to use facilities and such. Also the store isn't the most conveniently laid out so sometimes they don't see you and bc of theft your orders aren't on the to go shelf always and you have to ask. Also as I said consistency is sometimes an issue and one day you get a fav salad and another day (like today you look at it and pout... so unfortunately some things are true but I'm here daily bc they open at 6 and nowhere else around my POW does. Clueless that this Panera has such a low rating until I want to share my experience. Ahhh! I'm not alone! Panera has set a level of expectation of what to experience visiting their restaurants- that one MUST post when it's not being met. But from look of these constant issues- the management of this location does not care! I'm seeing ZERO responses to these multiple issues. It's JANUARY at the time of this posting - NO ONE is wiping down the kiosks! Ummm we're in full swing of germs - flu season, viruses, and all kinds of yuckiness. The fingerprints left on the screens and noticeable crumbs and smears of whatever on the tables is disturbing! My order. Ugh! This is why I don't pre-tip! I would've been madder and have experienced that before. I hate having to reassemble my food -- yet here we are. This place is hit or miss. I usually order through Rapid Pickup. Sometimes my rapid pick up order is there, sometimes it's not. Sometimes my food is fresh and delicious, sometimes it's disappointing. Tonight it was definitely disappointing. I ordered a caprese sandwich and ended up with a gosh darn arugula sandwich with an itty bitty bit of caprese! Summamuhbih! Stopped by here for lunch today while in the area. Parking can be hectic here, we ended up parking in front of Trader Joe's and just walking over. It was fairly busy when we walked in, we used the tablets to order food and then found a table. The food was ready super fast! The pager beeped pretty quickly and I went to pick it up; which is where it went downhill. There was a worker (manager maybe? He was dressed differently than everyone else) who was standing in the way having the employees remake sandwiches (which is great I guess if they messed your order up) but he never turned around so I ended up getting stuck behind him for about three minutes. I probably could have been rude like the lady who went around me to just grab her meal. The employee never apologized or ensured my order was correct; which he did with two men who were also getting food. I bought a full bowl of French onion soup plus a generously-sized half chicken BLT plus a chocolate chip cookie. The Management Team at this Panera needs to retrain all their employees and or be replaced by a new Management Team. The food at tis Panera is good; when the orders are correctly made, this issue is with the Employees. On my last visit, I ordered through the "Fast Kiosk," went to the pick-up area and proceeded to be entertained by the number of orders that were incorrectly made and returned. It was so bad that there was someone, checking all of the orders that came from the Kitchen, she was sending 50% back to the kitchen for redo; orders that passed her review were also being returned to her by customers. During the 20 minutes it took me to get my half turkey sandwich with extra mayo and chicken with wild rice soup, i saw 4 customers return food to the employee checking orders from the kitchen that were incorrect and this did not include ones she caught. The remaking and correction of all these orders of course caused everyone else's food to be delayed. By the time my food was ready, she called my name, checked my order and told me she was sending it back because extra mayo had been left off the turkey sandwich. At this point I loudly stated "give me my order, i will put mayo on it, when i get home." Of course, when I got home I discovered, extra mayo had been put on the sandwich. I received an email from Panera later in the day, apologizing for the delay in receiving my food, how bout in stead of emails acknowledging issues with this Panera, send a District Manager in to fix the situation. Panera at Bailey's Crossroads stopped serving smoothies a while ago, it looks like. They are always out of many stuff. Always! So I have to go to other paneras that are located far. It's very frustrating. Some stuff, once they run out, they won't restock them for a while, like days or weeks. Biggest problem I have with them is that they don't bother to brew Decaf offee once they run out whenever, say early afteroon or even morning. They don't have decaf through late afternoon to the night. It's grossly counterintuitive. They say you can ask for a decaf and they will pour some for you inside but it's so annoying that you can't just have it whenever you want outside the counter. Overall, really annoying. Useless. The manager woman is a friendly and efficient woman. I wonder how come she doesn't make changes to those annoying things. Please do! read more

Recently, this Panera has become my go-to spot for working. It's college application season for my students so I've been writing recommendation letters like there's no tomorrow. I frequented this spot due to its large amount of seating space, outlets, and delicious foods that keeps fueling me on. I also really enjoy their music selection even though most of the time, I will use my headphones. See my pic of their signature hot chocolate....I mean, look at those to die for chocolate chip marshmellows!! What?? So fancy! It was delicious. As usual, the soup and sandwich combo is great (Though I learned I should substitute the bread for a fruit cup because it seems like a better deal and really, after a sandwich, I don't really need another loaf of bread) Since this Panera is connected to the shopping center, there's plenty of parking. It does get crowded around peak lunch and dinner time, esp. on weekends. However, i was there dinner time on a weekday and it still had plenty of seating. FYI, I found out they do not have "order from table" option at this Panera so don't waste your time going through the menu online like I did! (its misleading because they have signs all over the tables for this option but it's not offered here). Another tip: become a panera rewards member. Free to sign up. This Panera seems to be a community hub; I met my wedding planner here years ago to talk over coffee. I came here to work on homework, and could see other people doing business lunches or working on a laptop. It's nice that they're welcoming to people who have hustle and bustle to take care of. I ordered the mac n cheese and fuji chicken salad as a you pick two. I always love their mac n cheese, but the fuji chicken was a new one for me. I liked it! I've been getting delivery from this place occasionally with the COVID crisis ongoing, and their drivers are always super friendly (at least when they don't outsource to DoorDash, which sometimes they do.) Ibrahim in particular is super when he delivers in the mornings, always a perk to pick me up in the morning when he comes to deliver my food. All the food here is good, the sandwiches, the soups, the breakfast stuff. Awesome. I just wish they'd keep using their own drivers since the tracker doesn't work when they use Doordash and they don't always have the same quality service that Panera does, but that isn't really Panera's fault so I can't blame them for that, only Doordash's fault. Walked in to pick up an order that was ready at 8PM in the evening. Barely anyone in the restaurant but was ignored by all staff. Sat down in front of the empty pickup rack. Confusedly waited a few minutes since no personnel appeared to be tending to the counter. Noticed two takeout bags behind the unmanned register. Stood up and leaned over to check if one of them was mine (it was) and was immediately yelled at by one of the 6 uniformed staff who were chatting with each other. Guy complained to me that he was "just doing his job". Spoke to the manager who explained that the orders were behind the counter due to thefts earlier in the day. Fair enough. Maybe greet your customers and ask them to confirm their name instead. Perhaps ask if they need any help instead of immediately verbally assaulting them for attempting to pick up their order when no one is tending to them. Probably not a great idea to ignore and treat your honest customers like they are thieves. Overpriced food. Clueless staff and management. Steer clear. read more

Dirty, inefficient, and just plain wrong. My daughter and I stopped for takeout the other evening and were amazed at how much time they spent remaking orders they got wrong. That probably accounted for much of the 30 minutes we had to wait for her Grilled Cheese sandwich with a side of chips and my salad with a side of bread. On the upside, we had plenty of time to notice the dirty floors and filthy tables. Once we got our food and made it home things sort of looked up. Sorry Panera I had to say something. As Panera goes they are all pretty standard. There are some smaller ones, and some tiny ones, this one is a decent sized location so I compare it to other location I have been to that are as similar. This is the worst of all Panera's I have been too. Major differences from others I have been too: 1. They don't bring you your food. Not a biggie but that's first. 2. The prep screen doesn't work. 3. There are never vibrator/pager thingies available when your trying to skip the long line, which is always. 4. The bathrooms are disgusting 5. It seems like there is no one walking around to make sure the place is clean. As far as the food is concerned it's pretty well prepared, but the orders are wrong. On two separate occasions I ordered the pick-two and got a full bowl of soup and a full sandwich...where I should be jumping for joy it's a lot of food and it's a 'wrong' order.
