It's a panera so what do you exactly expect? Carpets, tables, chairs were all clean. Food is what you expect it to be, of course at high prices but that's pretty much what panera is known for (not that it's okay but it's not this franchise fault.) Drink lids and straws were stacked but the drinks were low, could have an employee fill it. They also did seem very short staffed. Building is quite small, could explain why I did not see many eat inside the building. read more

While running errands, I thought I'd stop and get a bowl of their delicious broccoli cheddar soup with bread. As I went to order my curbside pick up, I noticed first that the price of the soup has gone up. Okay, I get everything has gone up in price. Then as I got to the checkout, I noticed that they are also charging $1.00 convenience fee for curbside delivery! You're charging $1.00 to walk to the parking lot but that's right--you won't even deliver food to the table in your own restaurant or is that a $1.00 fee now too? Being handicapped, I loved the curbside delivery and frequented Panera often, but no matter how good their soup is, they have just once again made their restaurant inconvenient because soup will slide off my rollator as I try to walk to the table! Maybe Panera should try being more handicap friendly rather than so profit oriented! read more

1/22/2024 - Ordered a dozen bagels to go and stayed for a bowl of soup. $16 for two bowls of soup - what in the heck? $8 for soup?? This is a café for what it's worth. The bagels: Dry, overbaked, and flavorless. I called to see if they'd do anything to make it right since I have 10 inedible bagels. I was told too much time had passed. I get it; food is a weird thing to return. But what about the customer service? There was no attempt to make it right. I'm not out a lot of money, but this isn't about that. A little more, sorry we let you down. We hope to make it up to you, the next time you visit. How can we make it right? We take pride in our products, thanks for letting us know, we'll pass it along to the baker... Any of those things would have gone a long way. Instead... The manager suggested I report my dissatisfaction of their products closer to the date of purchase. It's no longer the Broiler Era. It's the Pan Era. Panera Bread is okay. I find their products to be terrible so I don't know what all you are raving about. I think you'll have really bad taste lol. I'm sure some of you think that about me but there's no accounting for people being wrong. What I did like about this location was the service and the free WiFi works well and the free water tastes good. I wasn't crazy about the coffee but then I don't really like coffee too much in general. I can't deal with their fruity drinks and sweet teas. This is my go-to location for mobile ordering and they've always gotten my order right & in a timely fashion! I always get Avocado, Egg White & Spinach breakfast sandwich (Scrambled egg whites, a thick slice of Vermont white cheddar, fresh avocado, fresh baby spinach and tomato with salt and pepper on a freshly baked Sprouted Grain Bagel Flat.) This location is also oddly always packed! Was surprised to see the place nearly full when I rolled in at 2 on a Sunday afternoon. I actually had to cruise around the parking lot twice to find a spot. Fortunately, there were open tables inside. Ordered a half-size chile-lime salad with chicken, which took about 15 minutes to get to my table. It was fine, about what I expect in a Panera salad. Huge shout out to Josh While delivering for doordash, the left front tire of my car locked up next to Panera (Battle Creek). I went inside and called AAA for a tow and then settled down to wait. Of course I had skipped breakfast because I was out delivering other people's breakfast. I ordered a sandwich and a drink. Josh was the cashier. He could tell I was stressed and he asked me, so I filled him in on some of it. He repeated expressed his remorse for a situation was mine - hot his. After I finished eating and while waiting for tow truck, he even walked over and asked if I needed anything. Again, showing care and concern for my well being. A stranger he did not know. I ordered two take-out salads. Service was good. I did not pay attention at first but while eating and half way done I noticed some of the pieces were rotten. Love the bread here. But make sure you come early. Best selections are early and fresh in the morning. If you like a spin on a grilled cheese, try the Fontana Grilled Cheese. If you do a "take two" you can get a cup of soup with it. Makes for a good quick lunch. If you are looking to get full or large quantity this is not the place for you. The selections are good and proportioned but nothing you will walk out of undoing your belt. Great place to meet with friends and have a business lunch. We stopped here today on a road trip along 94! They were pretty quick, and the food was tasty. They have the menu items available at all the chains, and made sure we knew that the free pastry we were eligible for because of our Panera card was going to expire in 48 hours. Nothing outrageously outstanding to set this Panera apart from any other (although their apples seemed to be better than the chronically-mealy ones you tend to get at Panera locations), but it's in a convenient place, the food was tasty, and the service was friendly! read more

The turkey, apple and cheddar sandwich comes dry, so be sure to ask for mayonnaise or something to give it flavor. I added salt, but it didn't help enough. Why would they serve this sandwich dry? Not appetizing. The service wasn't very friendly. I think it was just this particular employee's personality; he acted disinterested and blah. He must have been disinterested in our order, because he got it wrong. He said he misunderstood what we said, and refunded an item to make up for the mistake, but made sure we knew that he thought he was right and we were wrong. I always get the same thing when I go into a Panera Bread, a plain bagel and a drink. I do this because I don't really see their menu as being a good value. Overall, pretty pricey for what you get. I'm getting my car worked on next door, so I dropped in to this location for my standard order. I had grabbed my plate and was headed for a table when I happened to look down and lo and behold, what do I see, a skinny little "O" where my big fat bagel is supposed to be! I had some serious Sesame Street flashbacks and wondered if this visit was brought to me by the letter O, and the sound of money leaving my pocket. Now, to be fair, when I went back up to say something, they were very quick to grab me an additional bagel, and between the two of them, I had approximately a bagels worth of carbs on my plate. So that was nice. The real issue here, is, how do you let this product out of the kitchen let alone in to the hands of your customers? The staff let me know that they had "baker problems" and sometimes they come out really fat and good, and sometimes not. :/ My suggestion, as an industrial professional, is to really work on your product quality and consistency, and don't pass your issues on to your customers. I'm pretty freaking disgusted. I found a fly in my salad. I understand bugs can be on lettuce leaves that's why you WASH IT. But they definitely didn't. I walked in after placing my order online and they were just putting my bag in the cubby as I got there. I saw it from the time it left the back room to the time it sat in the cubby area for my pickup. I first found the fly then looked in the bag for a napkin to spit the salad parts that I actually ate into and found a dirty used napkin with avocado on it. I don't usually write reviews but I'm making an exception due to the poor quality of food I was served at the Battle Creek Panera Bread. First thing I noticed when I went inside was the place was almost empty but the online orders appeared to be rolling in. I walk up to the registered an a heavy-set African American (so am I) lady with the rudest/poorest attitude I've ever seen in any restaurant is working the register. She doesn't even say "may I help you" just stared at me, took my order, no "Thank you" or anything. I ordered the Toasted Steak and White Cheddar. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, steak was as tuff as rubber, with an extreme amount of fat. Took 2 or 3 bites and threw it away. If I was wasn't traveling I would have took it back.
