Panera Bread - Soup Near Me - Destin, Florida

Waited in the drive thru for 30+ minutes. I ordered you pick two and was given no lettuce, extremely heavy mayo and one was like 1/4 of a sandwich. My chicken noodle soup was cold and I got one carrot slice and chicken crumbs, I literally got flavored water. I drank the soup and threw the MAYO sandwich in the garbage. Worst $50 I've ever spent. read more

Food is fine. Typical Panera but this is the third time I have been here and every time I am surprised by how dirty it is! Tables are not being cleaned off, stuff all over the seats and carpet. Yuck! Management really needs a person cleaning tables between people and keeping the floors and drink areas clean. read more

First of all. it was very slow, and my mom and i stood at the counter for 10 minutes before anyone helped us. then the front lady helped another customer before us. we decided to go to the digital ordering stand, which was really glitchy. we finally ordered. my moms soup bowl had mushrooms which she took off, my grilled cheese was burnt, and i asked for a baggette instead of chips and recieved chips. we got our pastries, my moms pecan braid literally had ONE pecan on it. After we got order home we found out it wasn't what we ordered. The item was only about 6 bucks but I asked for a refund. It was not eaten and big disappointment to a kid. I communicated with a customer service rep online. Heather seemed dense and reading from a script. She offered me Panera points instead of a refund! Oh joy. Got food that was thrown away but she didn't care. I can go back to use points on more food I don't want. At that point it was about awful customer service and certainly not the money. I asked several times if she was submitting for a refund. I finally was assured she would. IF APPROVED, she said I could get a refund in 2 weeks on PayPal. Really? Am I living in the 1990s? The Panera bread in Destin Florida had a worker that messed up and put my friends $50 in the tip jar, my friend then asked where her $50 went when and Jessica told her that she put it in the tip jar. Elle proceeded to tell her that it was to pay for food and she then fixed it and got elles order out. Elle didn't check the change back and only got $28 Dollars in change when her meal was 11.59!! We proceeded to call Panera bread Destyn where the worker that missed placed the money was very rude and didn't do anything to help! read more

It's got these crazy high ceilings and is surrounded by the fancy mall goers of Destin, Florida. I just wish I had such a beautiful place to study up here in college central, Boston. Food is great, what you would expect from Panera, but the staff here are what makes this a good place to go. I go through the drive thru just about every morning for coffee and a bagel, and the staff (Que is super friendly and helpful) are always wonderful. The drive through might take a little longer than Starbucks (which is right next door), but that's because they aren't microwaving frozen premade foods-they are making it fresh. Coffee is always fresh, even at 3pm. Good quality food and great employees. read more

Turkey Bacon and Avocado sandwich is good, but the sour dough bread didn't blend with the rest of the sandwich. Broccoli and Cheddar soup was delicious as ALWAYS. This place was a disaster. More customers than they could handle. The register locations were too. One in the middle and one at the far left. What's going on with that? We ordered 2 coffees and a bagel for her and of course they ran out of eggs at 10:24 am on a saturday so what i was gonna get turned into nothing. Went back to the counter a few minutes later bcuz i was starving, only to get passed over by other people bcuz apparently i wasnt in the right line anymore. Ate lunch here last week with my daughter. More of a restaurant for women than men. I had the 1/2 veggie sandwich and a greek salad. love how they have how many calories each dish has. I also had a chocolate chip cookie. Looking forward to going back and getting some bagels or other bakery items. The price was good for the amount of food we got and it has just a nice, relaxing place to sit and visit with my daughter. Also, they have wifi so I was able to play on my i-pad! read more

Really upset over the customer service here. Sabrina was extremely rude and snappy not only to myself, but to my friends with me. We are Destin locals, Commons employees, and here on a weekly basis! I have never encountered someone so snappy and rude before. I asked for an additional piece of bread because my 3 year old dropped his on the floor, and rudely she said it would be 80 cents, I thought she was kidding - but she refused and would not give my son and I another piece of bread! Extremely unhappy and would like to point out how rude her behavior was. I hope management addresses this. read more

I absolutely do not recommend. **Save your morning and go to the Starbucks next door.** I am 27 weeks pregnant and we are on our last day of vacation. I had really tough morning sickness this morning and went to this Panera location for a bagel sandwich. We chose to go through the drive through window, which was a complete mistake. 30 minutes in the line, and we watched 3 people jump the curb after ordering just to leave and go to Starbucks. Lil miss Kelly at the window was rude and cold and just handed us our bag. I wanted to check my food before pulling off to make sure it wasn't cold, and I could hear her through the closed window saying "stop eating in our drive through." My food was lukewarm but I was so sick that I just started eating it and told my husband to pull ahead and leave. My husband has managed a Panera bread for over a year and knows that their target drive through times are 3-4 minutes in the morning. He also knows what is expected as a MINIMUM from this company. When we called to speak to the manager in charge, she said she had no idea any of this was happening. How on earth do you not know that your drive through is running 30 minute times and that people are jumping the curb to leave their orders? This was absolutely inexcusable and I am shocked at the lack of professionalism at this location. read more

I love the breakfast at Panera, but the location at the silver sands outlet mall has the absolute worst employees in the world. They are slow moving and mess up my order at least 80% of the time. Go to the Destin commons location, they have some sort of a brain. I'm a local, so don't ruin your vacation by going there. read more

We just used the Panera catering service from the Destin restaurant. It was wonderful! We chose sandwiches, salad, soup, chips, and cookies. Everything was fresh and delicious. They provided plates, eating utensils, and serving utensils. We will definitely use their services again! read more
