Their service is getting worse with time. I stopped to order for Chicken Frontega Panini and as they were out of focaccia bread, I was given a substitute with Basil bread. The size of this panini is so small that it could be consumed with just one bite. I just took a picture of this with my phone on the side for everyone to see what I actually mean.

    Where's the avocado???

How can you forget part of a sandwich that is in the name? This is supposed to be their roasted turkey bacon avocado sandwich. Can someone find the avocado, please?!? I never did. I tried to call and conveniently, they weren't answering calls at that time. Are. You. Kidding. Me??? Apparently, 4pm is SUPER busy and they can't answer during busy hours. It literally said to call back later. Come on, Panera! I am super disappointed. There is no consistency of quality. Step it up or I'll visit another location instead.

Wow! Disappointing. A chipotle chicken avocado sandwich with ONLY chicken. Clearly whoever is prepping isn't paying attention.

** Mobile Order Pick Up Review*** The location is located on the opposite end of the Starbucks in the same shopping center. While in the drive thru line for Starbucks and smelling the sweet nothings in the air from Panera, I decided to mobile order the Cinnamon Crunch Steel Cut Oatmeal. By the time I made it to thru the drive thru line, I was able to park, walk in and grab my oatmeal off the shelves designated for mobile pick up. No line and no waiting, just grab and go, literally. Efficient choice for those on the go or those who do not wish to partake in person to person contact. My oatmeal was piping hot and loaded with the sweet sprinkles of cinnamon, crunchy pecans and voluptuous slices of strawberries hiding the thick steel cut oatmeal. Napkins and utensils were also in the bag which was a plus since my mind was not thinking of them. The minimal effort needed to complete this food endeavor is highly attractive. Short on time, then mobile ordering is for you!

This is the last straw that made me review. Everything I order looks messy, like it just got literally thrown together. Sandwich contents inconsistent and falling out, soaking wet lettuce. Bowls looking 1/2 full and now a grilled cheese that is definitely not grilled with dried rubbery looking cheese all around the outside edges. We always tip but no more. Being busy is not an excuse for poor execution.

You Pick 2- Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken and Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

Panera is my go to healthy fast food. I love their soups, salads, sandwiches, and just about anything in the bakery section. The food is on the pricer side, but worth it in my opinion. It's always fresh and leaves me a happy camper! I usually order the you pick 2, which is one of their more popular menu items. You are able to combine any two half portions of salads, sandwiches, soup, flatbreads, or Mac and cheese to create your own meal. I always order the broccoli and cheddar soup with the green goddess cobb chicken salad. The soup is absolutely delicious! There's nothing like enjoying a bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup on a cold day. It can cure anything! The salad includes chicken, tomatoes, pickled red onions, arugula, romaine, kale, avocado, hard boiled egg, chopped bacon, and green goddess dressing. It is my favorite Panera menu item and I highly recommend it to anyone unsure of what to order. This location is right next to a spa and a Starbucks. It stays busy, especially around lunch time. There is plenty of seating inside and the staff are always friendly. If you are in the Dumfries area, make sure you check out this Panera location!

I don't have a lot of African experience, so I was instantly intrigued. After a morning of exploring the Prince William Forest, we came here for a good lunch. As a guy who's not well versed in the cuisine, I asked for advice, and I was lead in the right direction. I can't seem to find the exact menu item, but I know it the main focal point was that jollof rice. Man, the flavors in that rice were very new to me, and very delicious. Lots of good heat, but not spicy at all. You gotta try it. Also on my place was some sort of meat, some sort of delicious fish on the bone, a nice hard boiled egg, and some sweet plantains. Along with a small salad. Good meat, good sauce. Love eating meat off the bone, adds so much good flavor. Just a really nice meal. I also got some Sweet Plantain Balls (Caclo) as an app. These things were amazing! I usually don't like plantains, But these were very soft, coated in a tangy, umami powder, again a new thing for me. Overall, I very much enjoyed this place. If you're ever in Dumfries, VA, I would highly recommend you stop by, as this was the best food I had the whole time I was in town!

First the positives: I ordered the Gyro with fries and really enjoyed it. Not the best Gyro I have ever had, but good. The other three members of my family ordered different chicken dishes and all three were bad. Overall they were very bland. Using a little seasoning during cooking goes a long way. The chicken on the dishes seemed boiled. I guess this is an easy way to get tender chicken, but man does it remove the flavor! My wife's chicken had tendon and grizzle through out. My daughter's Marsala was gross. Seemed to be a Jared gravy. The wait staff really should not be wearing jeans, especially since the dining room seems nice (except for the paper table cloths.). One of the waitresses had ugly tattoos which no one wants to see at a nice place like this. It's a shame. This place has potential, but the food and wait staff drag it down HARD.

Mirna Restaurant [MR]. (3.25 stars)…read more Pardon the Alice in Wonderland meets Rocky Horror Show confusion of thoughts that follows... :) Italian & Greek. Sure they have a "Mediterranean" theme. Mexican & Salvadorian. Sure geographically it makes sense. Italian & Mexican. Wait what?! I literally screamed!! Let me explain... I grew up for my formidable years in Worcester MA. My family (parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles except one, aka entire family) were still in HI but I got shipped off because it was supposed to be a boot camp for me so to speak. What a laugh... My uncle couldn't cook to save any of our lives. I am Asian by descent but definitely not a decent Asian. ;) I never knew what Asian food was until well into my high school years (and was forced to move back to HI). I ate at every neighbors house for almost every meal & wouldn't have changed my culinary journeys for the world!! I grew up on a block with 20+ Italian American families, 4 Mexican American families, and 1 (mine) token Asian family. In the 80s Worcester was definitely a version of Little Italy!! But there were some Mexican influences that we as kids got to enjoy. So when I saw MR, I immediately reverted back to my childhood days & had to stop by to check them out. I haven't found many Italian/Mexican restaurants in my travels... There isn't much info on FB, IG, or Yelp. The first thing I noticed as I entered MR is that English was definitely NOT the language spoken by both patrons & the server/bartender. I don't mean any offense by that. Just an observation. :) I will fully admit I'm not an expert as far as Authentic Mexican food is concerned. But as I grow older, supposedly wiser, & definitely more anti-social... I've learned that authenticity, while appreciated & celebrated is not what I look for at the end of my meal. I look for 1) TASTE. 2) TEXTURE. 3) PRESENTATION. That's what makes me satisfied & happy when it comes to any meal (in that order). Italian is & always will be my favorite but Korean & Mexican are a tie for second! (Wasn't always that way)!! Asian food wasn't even on my "list" until my early 30s?! However, I adore Korean Tacos and Kimchi with my pasta so hence my comment about taste vs authenticity. Anywho... I ordered the two items that were recommended by my server. Steak Burrito. (3.5 stars). The steak is cubed but a little tough to chew. However, the burrito is a very generous portion & cheesy. I did find it interesting that the filling also has romaine lettuce & avocados (which is nowhere on the menu description). First time I've had that combo but texturally it worked... crunchy, creamy, chewy...? I do wish the plate was kept under the salamander for another minute to get the cheese melted completely & slightly crispy on the edges... but still a hearty dish. Lengua Tacos. (3 stars). I grew up with a Yucatán influenced version of Mexican food. All of our Mexican American neighbors emigrated from the Yucatán which relies heavily on RED ONIONS. This is why I probably still adore red onions (or any Onions) BUT still cannot stomach white/round/yellow onions!... NOPE. Yuck. I ordered the Lengua tacos & asked that the cilantro & onions be put on the side because I was told that MR uses white onions. Great I thought! Won't have to pilfer through the disgusting white onions!! Ummm... GONG!!! WRONG. The lengua is already cooked together with white onions so just be aware of that when you order it. Asking for the onions on the side was pointless for me. The lengua was tender & had a nice chew. Tortillas were fresh & greatly appreciated. Even though I wasn't absolutely blown away by my first visit. I'll definitely come back to try some other dishes at MR. Perhaps I may try their Italian dishes... Doubtful but the Mexican dishes definitely have some redeeming qualities that have piqued my interest... for at least another round!! Parking is available in a shared lot. I do wish MR well.
