I was about to undergo a long road trip to MI and did not want to have to go any further out of our way then necessary. This store was very understanding, calling the other store to cancel my order. They quickly made our food and allowed the rewards I had used on the original order to transfer over to this one again. I just left this location after ordering about $160 worth of catering/rabbit pick up. First of all you cannot order drinks on rapid pick up and so I had to wait like 15 minutes for them to give me 2 gallons of tea, really? The worst part is is as I'm leaving with all these bags no one offered to help me carry them out or even open the door. Even other patrons were looking at me like oh you need some help? Shame on them. I'm a medical rep and I order catering all the time and food to go and I will never be coming back here again. I have never eaten here before. I wanted to try somewhere new. I went through the drive thru and ordered the Cuban Panini. I took it home to eat and when I opened it, I looked at it thinking it did not look like any panini I've had before. It had real tough French bread that I couldn't bite through. Then opened the sandwich up to find that it didn't have much meat. The pork and ham were sooo dry. I closed that sandwich right up and took it back immediately. For that pitiful sandwich being $10.00, I was highly disappointed. read more

This is my favourite Panera location in all of Fredericksburg... Service is really good, orders come out fast, the food is always fresh and tasty, they've got free Wi-Fi, and plenty of seating. Plus, it's right near Germanna, so it's the perfect lunchtime spot for a midday break in-between classes. read more

My wife has a corn food allergy. We came for diner at 6:00 at night and they were out of most of their breads. They use to have a book with a list of ingredients that we could look up our stuff to be safe. The manager said we took all the pages out due to the recipes are proprietary. We don't want other people making our food. We tried to explain corn is in a lot of things. I.e. hi for just corn syrup corn starch baking powder etc. and the manager did not seem to care. She well you can look it up on line if you are worry and walked away. The cashier tried to help and look it up in the computer next to her. She tried to be helpful but a line formed and the manager to her to help the next person and that we could look it up. Thanks for all your help. Though I'm exempt from wearing a mask, I was asked to go through the drive-thru. On another occasion, they didn't have enough available seating and said the dining room was full. Social distancing is at least 6', yet they had 10'-20' between most seating areas. If you can't accommodate people in spite of Covid, then I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Not sure why people are unhappy with this place, but I have never had a bad meal there ever. My wife either. Now, I'm not a fan of their espresso drinks, the mocha tastes like they use Hershey's syrup. Other than that, the food is on point. Today I had the steak and white cheddar panini and it was awesome. The cobble stone muffin was equally wonderful. My son had his favorite chocolate croissant (always good) and my Wife had a half sandwich (don't remember which one) and she was very happy. Their breads are always good. They're deserts have never failed us. The bagels are the best, so many varieties and good and chewy. You can't go wrong at this place. We enjoyed a light evening meal with their soup and salad selection. The black bean soup was very good and the broccoli-cheese soup was a bit thick and short on the broc but still tasty. The salad only gets 3 stars as I've had better Caesar's salads. Each dish came with a broken-off baguette. Seemed kinda cheap in a bread shop but what the heck. It's the national chain and was quite full of folks scattered about eating, checking email, and reading. I felt the cost of our meals was fair and would certainly eat here again. read more

So we had a lunch meeting and I was there from noon to about 1:40pm. Twice, one of the employees came by with a big plate of samples! The first was a chocolate cookie. They're not as big as the ones they sell but they're definately not tiny either. He was very personable. Of course, who would not like a guy holding a giant plate of warm cookies?! Then he came again probably an hour later and had three flavors of mini scones! They were delicious. Way to make customers happy! So the strawberry salad. I'm not sure if the first time I had it a couple of years ago in California it was a lot better? Or I'm just so used to I wasn't as satisfied with it this time and I'm not sure why. I guess at least it didn't have a lot of calories. I am very sad they did away with the sun-dried tomato cream cheese spread! That has always been my favorite with the asiago bagel. Food is nothing to write home about - it is downright TASTELESS! Bakery section gets a B minus. If you ever go through their new drive-thru window, watch out as it seems they just want you to have the fastest experience, and not the best. Some recent examples my wife and I had: missing items, burnt bagels and panini sandwiches, cold coffee, meat in breakfast items that are not supposed to contain meat, especially if you don't eat pork products, careless packaging. etc. etc. etc. It's better to go across the road to WaWa, IMHO... I must say..a friend told me about the lobster sandwich they were offering, so my girlfriend and I decided to try it. Staff were very friendly and the place was exceptionally clean. We ordered the Lobster sandwich, chips and a fountain drink. $20.12 was the total. Were had our order in less than 5 mins. My girlfriend took half and I took the other half. OMG, I was in heaven! REAL chunks of lobster meat, very little mayo, crisp lettuce, and decent tomatoes. The sandwich was on fresh baked bread you could have eaten all by itself. Consistently worse than other Panera's. The Central Park location is much better. Bread is clearly old. They're clearly trying to save money by skimping on portions size. This is reflected in the soup quantity and sandwich size. Service is not great either. Yesterday they left out my large drink. I informed an employee standing near the counter. She called out to another standing at the register, who threw a cup to her coworker. She missed and the cup clattered among the registers. They had a good laugh and I got a cup that bounced around on the registers and counter. read more

I love that you can request your sandwich made any way you want it with any bread, etc... They even add extras at now charge to your sandwich. SONIA IS HORRIBLE! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER (...and it's dirty!) I don't go *inside* this Panera a lot. Mostly, I go in the drive through in the mornings every once in a while. For the past 3-5 times I've gone in the drive through, the girls taking my order 1) never ask if I have a My Panera Card so I have to ask/remind them, 2) have boredom and annoyance in their voices, 3) never say anything like, "Good morning," or, "Have a great day," and not even, "Thank you." They're entirely detached and so, so, SO RUDE. I figured I should give *going inside* a chance this morning, in hopes to find better service. I ordered at a kiosk to skip the line, and my food was brought to my table, unexpectedly. I had a buzzer, so I thought I would be buzzed when it was ready to pick up. Anyways, the food came in a very good amount of time, it was all delicious, a nice temperature, and fresh. However, I had ordered a drink, which was missing. I came to Sonia, one of the cooks. I told her my order's name AND I even told her specifically, "I ordered a Hibiscus Fresca." She got pissed that I had the nerve to come to her confused. God forbid I interrupt her from doing what looked like just standing around sighing at everything in frustration. There weren't even that many customers in the drive through or inside! She threw her hands up in the air at me, like I was an idiot. She asked me, "Ssssooo what kind of drink was it? What do you want?" After I had literally just said and explained that I was asking for, politely. She grunted. She raised her voice. She flung her arms and rolled her hands like, "Spit it out," when I was explaining my confusion. Instead of just KINDLY telling me there were cups at the kiosks, she made a big deal, got b****y and pissy, BUT THEN, she grabs a cup. She firmly slaps it on the counter in front of me. She walks away. Doesn't say a thing. I even thanked her. Still nothing. Thanks to Sonia, I am never going to put my money into that Panera until either she is gone, or management tightens up. I've eaten at this location fairly often but not so much recently and now probably not at all. My last two visits were pretty rough. There always seems to be a line at the cash register. Although there are three registers they only ever seem to have one operating. Their prices have had a slow creep upward till now they've passed the tipping point for value. The food is okay but too expensive for what it is. This last time I got soup to go. When I opened the soup it was the wrong soup. When I took it back I was hassled by the manager (?) who didn't want to give me what I ordered saying too much time had passed for me to return it. I walked back out with the wrong soup. i don't intend to go back. read more

I ordered the Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad with kale and the kale was full of blackened leaves that had gone bad. They should not serve moldy food. I've only been through the drive thru but this Panera is great! I usually get their muffins and decaf lattes. I've also had their chicken noodle soup and ham and Swiss sandwich. Sorry to say that Panera has gone downhill since it opened. We used to order every Saturday night but the quality and quantity started to suffer. It was a hit and miss that we couldn't take our chances anymore. Twice I ordered a sandwich that included a tough piece of meat that was so dry and hard to bite on...wish that Panera can shake off the bad luck and rehire people that can oversee quality control before the food is sent out especially when it's a pick up order bc many people won't drive back to correct the order. read more

Panera never fails me ..my food is always superb and as I ordered! Love the healthy food choices..please bring back the toffee nut cookie i know its seasonal, but it is sooooo good! My favorite beverage is the green tea best without ice..it waters it down and you cannot get the true taste of the tropical tea. I do like Panera, but this location is consistently getting worse. Used to go about once every 1-2 weeks, but stopped that about two years ago. Each time we have gone since, the portions have gotten smaller, and I mean tiny, and the quality and freshness of the produce is frequently sub-par, like inedible. I went to another one here in town and they were much better. I do believe the chain has gone down a bit, as they keep changing dish size and then making the portions smaller as well, but truly this location is extreme. Too bad as it does get a lot of business because not much else around there, but people I know are not the fans they used to be. read more
