A few booths and tables for dine in and it seems a lot of take out orders, many people came in to pick up while we were eating. Staff was super friendly. One gentleman was helpful in ensuring our orders were keyed in right and checked on us a few times while eating. Now the food! It was delicious!! Great portion sizes, flavors were amazing. Pricing was good... bowls are roughly $10, plates around $15. Small selection of good appetizers. I had the falafel plate with salad, and veggie side and they give you naan bread. I'm bummed about what's happened with this place. It used to be my favorite and now they've gone down hill severely. I love their food but they have screwed up or been very stingy on my last few orders and I keep coming back... Photo attached is from today. I asked for all the toppings on the side so that was fine but there is such a tiny portion of meat. I ordered this for my 5 year old and it's not enough to fill even her up. Really disappointed. This is an outstanding Mediterranean style restaurant in Fredericksburg, Virginia. My wife and I enjoy eating good, healthy vegetarian meals. The proprietor has a delicious falafel plate that checks all the boxes. The plate comes with a choice of two sides, so we got the babaganoush and hummus and a salad. The generous portions were delicious and the falafel is served on a bed of rice. You get a bagful of pita bread to dip into the sides. Everything was tasty, spicy and flavorful. The proprietor and his staff was friendly and he took the time to explain what was on the plates. The restaurant is near the Mary Washington University and the Hyatt and is very clean. As I am only visiting the town I hope to eat there one more time before we leave. Highly recommended! read more

Overall a good experience!! Husband ordered traditional Indian chicken curry which came with rice, side salad, and a naan. The curry itself was just DELICIOUS!!!! But the chicken breast was a little dry and rubbery. (I do want to try fish next time in the same curry to see the difference). The rice seemed a little old since it had some dry rice grains. I ordered chicken kebab (was good) which came with chickepea curry (decent), for my second side I got baba Ghanoush (i tried it for the first time and didn't like it), green minty sauce. The bread here is amazing and what would bring me back again. Many stars for the pita and not stingy with the amount either. I got the coconut chicken as recommended by the young lady at the counter. She warned me it was a bit on the sweet side. I should have listened. It was very well cooked chicken and had a nice creamy sauce with coconut. After a few bites it was too sweet for me. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday... they young man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide what to order. I also didn't want the carbs of the rice (nor the naan), so he offered to give me salad instead. He actually talked to me about the naan, telling me how awesome it was, so I decided to give that a try. The chicken kabob was spiced very nicely and tender and cooked perfectly! Their chick peas were the best I've ever had from a non-Pakistani place. I typically don't care for other interpretations of chick pea curry (having grown up eating Pakistani style channa), but these were excellent and made with a very good, dried bean. Their hummus was decent, it had a perfectly soft texture, but not a lot of flavor. Their salad dressing was decent. Their naan was incredible! Nice and light and flavorful! I told them not to put butter on mine, as I hate getting my hands greasy when eating with the naan and I don't find the flavor negates the added calories. The place was very clean (so were the restrooms) and nicely decorated. They offer free water cups, which are larger and have all the typical sodas as well. When it comes to sauces... they had a chutney which was the mint style that I really like and they had a hot paste which is made in house and was very spicy and loaded with flavor, but a little goes a long way! Overall, this was a great visit and I'll definitely return! This is more of a Middle-Eastern style place than a Mediterranean place, as far as the cooking styles and menu goes. read more

I was looking for a Mediterranean restaurant on Mother's Day as this kind of food is a favorite of my wife. Not being something I'm personally drawn to, I looked around and this place had decent enough reviews to give it a shot. I sent them an email and asked if they took reservations. The response I received was, "No reservations, just come in. Our service is slow, but our food is amazing." (Hold on to that quote.) We arrived around 5pm on Mother's Day. There was a steady parade of people picking-up take out. There appeared to be two people working - one dealing with patrons coming in the door and on the phone, and the other a few feet away busily cooking. The menu was extremely confusing and required us to ask a LOT of questions. Eventually we ordered, sat outside, and waited. We waited some more. Then we waited a little more. Our appetizer, my food, and the food of one of my sons arrived, but not the order for my wife or other son (pet peeve - either bring it all, or none of it as no one wants to watch other people eat when they have nothing). After 5 minutes went by, I went in to see if I could help carry out the rest of our order suspecting there weren't enough hands to actually get it to us. Sure enough, I was right and was handed two more plates of food. Objectively, portions were good-sized with lots of colors, enticing textures, and inviting smells. Our orders included kabobs, a gyro, and a sampler platter. We were also given a (really) healthy stack of naan bread. We started eating and....it was wonderful, really great - fresh, tasty, and just enjoyable. We were a little on edge from the long wait, but honestly, these concerns fell to the floor when we started enjoying the food itself and appreciating the quality. It was worth the wait. If you go, you're going to wait and that just the way it is. But, it's worth it. And well, sometimes things are worth the wait. It's rare to get this level of quality in such a small establishment, so go there being willing to wait, look up from your phone, and have a conversation with the people around you while appreciating some good food. There was even a beautiful piano in the corner I believe it has changed hands at least 2 times now . It is different and you cannot see the food before you order and the " greek salad " is not greek . It's awful Don't waste your time or money on that . No romaine lettuce , or spinach ...everything chopped up and mushy . No greek olives, no pepperoncinis or feta ! I dont know what that excuse for cheese was ? I was hosting 25+ people and ordered catering from this place. I would give it more then 5 stars if I could. Ordered chicken, kafta with rice and chick peas, tabouli salad and side of appetizer platter. Every thing was such a hit.
